Homemade GIN by infusion in Only 36 hours

- Super easy and quick recipe 😉 in 36 hours it's ready. Today we are preparing the homemade GIN by infusion that I will use to prepare a Spectacular GIN and TONIC 🤪
For the GIN you will need:
Alcohol 40° 750ml
Juniper berries 30 g
Coriander 10 g
Cardamom 2 pods
Black pepper 2 grains
Cinnamon 1/2 stick
Orange zest 1 piece
Lemon zest 1 piece
Nutmeg 1/4
Clove 1
Star Anise 1/2
For the GIN and TONIC:
Homemade GIN
Tonic water
Ice

I never would have thought about using the coriander leaf in gin, though the seeds have made a wonderful addition in my previous attempts. Coriander seed is one of my favorite flavors.

A very healthy drink. Tonic water has an ingredient 'Quinine' which was used to treat Malaria and Flu. I always drink tonic water with Gin, but now you have a spec tackular recipe for Gin which I have to try

awesome...I only have fresh juniper berries....and the herb you called "coriander" is called cilantro...only the seeds of the herb are called "coriander"
Throughout most of Europe, the word coriander is used for the entire plant. It was brought here from India, by the British. I found that out when I moved here and kept asking for cilantro. Cilantro is the Spanish word. Since the green part is used in foods of Mexico and farther south, the word cilantro was also adopted in North America, though only for the green part.

If I wanted to make the non-alcoholic version of this, what can I use instead of the vodka/alcohol?
It’s impossible to make it without alcohol 😬 sorry
After years of playing with different recipes I have found the Star Annis is completely over powering and I leave that out. I recommend crushing the herbs to release the flavors. If you crush the herbs, 24 hours is sufficient.

Tonic water
That's a whole lot of cinnamon, which can steal the show. Use caution ⚠️, I might recommend that the cinnamon is removed at the 1/2 way point, or sooner, taste frequently for yourself.

so hes just adding stuff to alchohol not making it from scratch as i understand by the title of vid
distillation at home it’s illegal, plus when you make it from scratch is the same process, you start from alcohol 😉
I really can't consider this homemade gin, because you are cheating by using somebody's else's poisonous alcohol as a starter. Homemade is truly you make it all from scratch yourself....bummer.
I do really like how you use spices for flavoring.
