Yes for sure. I miss his Phantom greatly. At least I get to see him as the Beast at The Muny this summer though, so that should be exciting. But Ben is my favorite Phantom, he is phenomenal.
@@christinedaae7323Yes, Phantom will be back. But no one knows when. Andrew Lloyd Webber said the show will be back sooner than we think. I would love to see Ben back in the role again as the Phantom. That would be amazing!
I went and saw this for the first and last time in October 2022. I never knew that the centerpiece of the angels were lowered down for the rooftop scene, until I saw it in person...
I never understood why people laughed when he appeared behind the Angel. I got a chance to see the show in February before it closed and was confused as to why people were laughing. I guess people weren’t expecting him to be behind the Angel?
@@AtMyHappyPlaceThey were probably laughing when the Phantom threw the mannequin. That moment is unexpected and I’m sure it’s there to create some laughter, depending on how the Phantom throws it. Especially if the Phantom would hurl it. I’ve seen Ben Crawford hurl it pretty hard. I’m not sure how it didn’t break when it made contact with the Majestic’s metal stage. I do love Ben’s Phantom. He’s magnificent!
Is he saying something different? I expected "You will curse the day you did not do all that the Phantom asked of you" but I hear "You will curse the day you did not (??) all that the (?Megah?) asked of you". I haven't been keeping up for a couple of years and apparently my English isn't great🙈
@@xSalemXJamesx Thanks! I was just asking out of curiosity, of course it's not an easy part or song and I wasn't implying he did something wrong, I loved this version :)
@@swanben11He did bow out on April first. Also his principle contract was likely until closing. No point in redoing all the branding and managent for the last 3 months
He did a Q&A and said he wasn’t doing an accent, that the mask flared up jaw issues he has so what you hear is him trying to sing around that. It apparently really threw off his enunciation.
Personally for me, I think Ben was hit or miss. I saw him on Broadway multiple times and I don’t personally think he has the best voice but he’s definitely talented
He was absolutely atrocious when I saw him. I mean, I think he sounds like shit here, but he wasn’t even up to pitch the night I saw him. I was actually WAITING for MOTN to be done, and got the impression he was too.
@@swanben11In the final 3 months due to working conditions (badly designed makeup) and an unfortunate bacterial infection of his vocal chords, he began to struggle. He is usually such a brilliant Phantom with an insanely deep and powerful baritone voice.
There is nothing like sitting in the majestic seeing and listening to Ben. Cherish these memories and am grateful to have seen him.😢❤
I am so glad I was able to see ben in 2018. Really wanted to see him again, one of my favorite phantoms!
Yeah Ben is awesome!
Amazing!! Thanks so much. Ben is a magnificent singer. Beautiful voice!
Indeed.
my favorite moment in Phantom! thanks so much for sharing
I met Ben several times when I was working with the Baltimore Symphony, such a great guy and a fantastic singer. The world will miss his Phantom.

Do you think Phantom will ever come back to Broadway? I am absolutely devastated that Phantom is not on Broadway anymore.

I saw it and his voice perfectly chilled and warmed when needed.
1:34 „… all that the fandom asked of you“ 🤣 true
GREAT footage!

Loved Ben
Never gonna get over it

Same here…
I agree. I watched a video once where the audience laughed during the final lair and was like “how could you”!!

Literally, people are stupid and immature. That’s about the only reason.
I think it's a sort of "Oh boy here it comes ...!" kind of laugh like an oh SHIT.
🥰🥰🥰
I Miss it Already
Me too bud, me too..
All us PHANS do, Buddy!!!!!!!
Mee too. ❤
Interesting how he goes from aggressive tones to lower tones between lines. Definitely a fun way to mix it up
Chandelier seems to lunge a lot slower
All that I asked of the Phantom was for it not to close on MY BIRTHDAY. I will always be traumatized on my birthday now.
I miss the angel

Pretty sure that's what he says, but its not easy to enunciate such a role. He was also having vocal issues during and shortly after this.

His enunciation there is strange... I only speak English and I thought it was odd sounding too. It's not just you!
His vowels are inexcusably muddled. Some people don’t know when to bow out. Pretty sad this was the final principle Phantom at the Majestic.

Hate to ask bc only saw the tour production. Are those actual stage crew members down there at the end?
yes those are
Yep! They're there to catch it! (There are hidden handles on it)
Which other scene were you able to capture?
People laughing need slapped
Very good singing - but a bizarre accent!
Yeeeeeeeeerw!

Don’t like the accent

muy lindo todo, pero nadie se asemeja a Ramin Karimloo (el verdadero Fantasma)
Why is the tempo so fast 😅
London cast the best. His pronunciation is totally distracting. I don’t know if it’s his accent or what.
Apperently he was sick according to other comments
