@D fry mines don't do that ,you can try chaving a little of the pins if not unscrew them out and screw the skirts on I have done it before self taping screws

I got a 74 as well, did u have to get trailing arms to get your rims on?
No trailing arms all stock and handles great if you lift the car up that's when your going to have problems
