    is the Moto2 edition worth the extra money over the RS version? Leave a comment below.

      Absolutely!!....I booked a Street Triple RS Cosmic Yellow, here in India. As the moto 2 edition is only limited to Europe and America, i had to settle with cosmic yellow for now🥲

    Was a great pleasure riding “with” you for this video. Nope, neither me nor my Speed Twin was willing to do 140 😂 Enjoy your excellent commentary and bike knowledge! Cheers!

    I sold my 2022 Street Triple a couple weeks ago. I researched what everybody’s was selling in the area and priced lower and I got an offer. Anyways with headers, slip on exhaust and a tune it was a beast!! Totally felt like a Moto 2 race bike. When I went back to stock before selling it felt really nerfed. Lol

    @tyyamamoto Рік тому +3

    I think that it's more than the elevation. I thought your street triple was tuned with exhaust? I saw several dyno's and the 24 Moto2 is only putting out 115HP to the wheels and a tuned 2020 Street Triple with exhaust is putting out 130HP to the wheels....I have the Moto2 and am waiting for a tune to come out because it's good, but you're right, doesn't rip your arms out and I'm in Washington at near sea level....

      Wrong Moto has 130hp, same as the new 765rs , the old has 123hp✊🔥

    • @PetroHead
      @PetroHead  Рік тому +1

      My bike is not tuned. I just added a filter and exhaust. However, I have lightened it up considerably and that might have had something to do with it aside from elevation. Current wet weight on my RS is 398-400lbs. I think I made a video about this and talk in detail.

      I'm waiting for a tune as well. I've never had a Street Triple. Just Speed Triples. My 1200RR Petro took on a ride during his stay here in AZ had a tune done from DNK

    • @tyyamamoto
      @tyyamamoto Рік тому

      No, I said to the wheels. The dyno's are showing the new RS and Moto 2 around 115HP to the wheels. They are 128HP claimed to the crank.@@helgejohan3604

    I own #570 in white.I would say yes it’s worth it because of the limited numbers produced.Performance of the forks over the Showa Bpf is noticeable

      I also feel like from the beginning spec wise the moto2 edition should've been the RS model and the RS model should've been the R model and the R model should've been the S model
      I feel the moto 2 was a bit of a money grab. As they only did front and rear ohlins on the speed R models so it was a thing just not on the street triples.

    It seems top end restrictions are all over the place on different bikes.
    My 2016 675 Daytona with pipe has done 149 Mph. 2018 765 RS 138 Mph with slip on.
    My 2020 765 Daytona Moto 2 149 mph bone stock, and my 2024 St triple only 132 mph.
    May try to run that one, again, before ECU flash and pipe.

      I guess for a 765 that's good I'm sure the s1000r tops out at 162 but probably gets there quicker.
      And that obviously is a more expensive bike for an extra 20mph and a bit more tq. Bike cost and insurance.
      However the used market you see the older gen 765 rs (2017-2019) going for 8k-9k
      And they still have quite high milage at this price too
      10,000miles+
      But you can pick up an s1000r (gen1 or gen2 2014-2019)
      for that money it seems like a no brainier to go with the s1kr in my opinion
      And these are RS models not even moto 2 Ed

    • @PetroHead
      @PetroHead  Рік тому

      146 mph is all she had and I was WOT from lower gears all the way to the top. Something about this new Moto2 makes it seem like it's restricted in some way.. must be all the regulations chocking these gnarly bikes. Who knows... but anyway... any new bikes lately big guy?

    Have had some pretty good luck with ECU flashes.
    2017 V Max went from 146 mph to 166+ mph.
    2014 FZ 09 went from 125 Mph to 147 Mph. Indian FTR: 115 Mph to 148 Mph.
    Most of my " adventure bikes restricted to 126 Mph. : Honda Africa Twin, KTM 890 Adv. , Triumph 900 tiger, and 660 Tiger , Triumph 1200XE Scrambler. Will get them flashed.

    • @ridepastu1418
      @ridepastu1418 Рік тому

      Any links where you can get the 2024 street triple 765 flashed in the US. I installed a Spark full system, W/O a tune. Dealership calibrated the ECU to accept the pipe. No codes, no servo buddy, runs great. A rapid bike fueler is in the future if I can’t get the correct setup via ECU flash.

    The tanks not plastic. Thats a tank cover. The power is not down and 3k elevation doesn't matter. The adaptive ecm will adjust for the elevation. I think it you...

      Of course elevation matters, there's 12% less air at 3600'. Peak power may only be 100 at the rear wheel that high.

    I bought this summer a Street Triple 765RS Moto2 edition.
    Now odometer: 780km
    I have a problem with bike.
    Above 5500 rpm, the engine vibrates a lot. I see dimly in the mirror. The footrests are vibration too.
    Any ideas? if I can't solve the problem then I will sell it.

    Power difference between sea level and 3600ft : about 11 percent drop (and sometimes more if fuel system on bike doesnt compensate)

    Petrohead to be honest it's hard for you to buy another bike because you own a rsv4 so most likely everything else seems like a down grade lol. In tern pointless buying. Less power less spec, why would anybody do that.

      I'm trying to look for a Daytona 765 Moto2. That would be a great upgrade over my current RS. I've been creaming over that bike since it was introduced in 2020. I think I'll release the review of it next sat.

      I wasn't going to buy the Daytona at $17,500... But when my old dealer back east called me and said they had 15 of them at $14,000. I said I'll take one! One more later and it was here being delivered at the house.

      I have a Tiger 1200, Thruxton RS, Speed Triple 1200RR and the Daytona Moto2, I'm not buying bikes because of how fast it will go. To be honest when I first saw the Street Moto2 I was like, "I don't need that shit". The more video's I watched of it I then started saying " I want that shit"! Called Tucson dealer, they had one coming in and I said put my name on it.

    • @gcbr600rr
      @gcbr600rr Рік тому +1

      @@ridepastu1418 of course no offence, we are just exchanging opinions. The Duke R has also top spec suspension, brakes, has more torque and a little bit less weight. It is also cheaper even with the tech pack that is optional. Sure it lacks bt connectivity and nav and I don't know about the dealers because I live in another country (Greece) and they are both OK. Sure is less refined but it is at least at the same level of driving fun and capability. If you have the chance, give it a try.
