Hey guys, Welcome back to my channel! Virgin Relaxer Application on my client who is 100% Natural She truly broke my heart but as long as my client is happy, I am happy.
I can’t really say just bc I don’t know your hair. It’s best to wait a couple of months to relax colored hair. Always read your manufacture instructions of whatever relaxer you plan to use. Just be careful and extremely careful!
@@dashajxo Ok thank you. I will follow the instructions because the only relaxer they have in my country that I found, is the ORS relaxer. I will strand test before hand and will probably decrease the amount of time it will process depending on how that section turns out. 😅
I say do whatever is best for you. I am all for natural hair but I know how it can be at times. If having relaxed hair is best for you, then go for it !! Theres nothing to be scared of girl :)
@@erinlewis8150 I say do whatever is best for you and your lifestyle. Having natural hair is very high maintenance for sure! You hair can be healthy relaxed or natural☺️
Hi, after you apply it all overdue mid shaft that's when you start doing the roots an ends ? Was it all in 20 minutes or you leave the relaxer on for longer?
Yes. Work quickly. According to the manufacturer instructions; some relaxers shouldn’t stay on long depending on the hair type and strength of the relaxer
Personally, If you were my client. I would tell you to wait 3-6 months between coloring and relaxing. Don’t do both so close together bc it will cause damage and you may loose some hair lose. (If not done correctly or professionally)
I believe you are talking about smoothing out the hair? Smoothing can be done different ways. If you comb out the hair, I would be really cautious and careful but I don't 100% recommend it.
Why did you say it broke your heart for her to relax her hair? I have seen so many of us wearing natural hair, with so much hair loss around their edges because of wearing weaves of all kind and braids. Why do they do that? It really look bad when you have that much hair loss.
The thing is she didn’t wear any type of weave, just her natural curls. It broke my heart bc her curls are beautiful and didn’t need relaxing in my opinion. She wanted something easier to maintain, as a stylist I have to do what the client wants even if I am against it.
the color is also 2+ years old, it was red and faded to the blonde color. She comes to me every 2 weeks . She knows what she wants . If I didn’t do the relaxer, she would’ve just done it herself
And she came out cuuuute!!! And healthy 😍🥰
There is color brands that is relaxer friendly
Yes! I wasn’t aware of it at the time of the video!
Which one?? Please let me know….
First time I saw a relaxer done right by avoiding the roots and bleached ends until last
So I CAN relax my roots if the rest was color( that is all dyed black now)??

@@erinlewis8150 I relaxed mine July 4th, 2021 after being natural for 5 years. I have no regrets and it’s so much easier to maintain.)
Put her onto Olaplex asap because relaxer + color = breakage
Oh yes ma’am! Way ahead of you, we use olaplex faithfully here! Thank you 💜

I’m trying to relax my hair but I’m scared because my hair is collided it’s been colored for a month and two weeks now
I mean colored

Some stylists comb out the hair during processing to stretch it. Is that okay?

Nice job! However, you had me at longer hair. The haircut style was just okay. 😏

Way too much smoothing at the beginning. Apply first.
Thank you! I appreciate your advice
Can I relax my hair even though my hair is colored and can I relax my whole head
I recommend you look for a professional stylist in your area and have a consult with them. It can be done but to be safe and by a professional.
Relaxer on coloured hair? 😬😬😬
I know 😣 it’s what she wanted, her hair is treated every time she comes in and it’s doing great
