Got this Beauty on 26th July at 1.93L on road and writing this review after 20 days. Pros: 1.)Most refined engine in the segment. 2)Looks and road presence. 3)Mileage (I'm getting 50+ before 1st service although I don't Rev a lot) 4) I love the instrument cluster of this bike. provides every detail. 5) i don't see any significant advantage of USD( dual channel abs could have better upgrade than this) but it enhances the looks 6) 140 section rear tyre gives a big bike feel. 7) last but not the least, DRLs...it's just the added beauty to this beast of a machine. 8) one of the most stable bike and very easy to handle. Cons( for some people) 1) Yes you can argue about the absence of dual channel abs considering the price. Atleast Yamaha should have given an option for dual channel abs. 2) you will see a lot of cost cutting from yamaha including fibers everywhere in this bike. But you can't complain much about it since every brand is following the same. 3) Pillion seat is Little uncomfortable due to unavailability of grab rail. For friends n all it is fine but not for everyone. 4) it's my personal opinion that this bike is Little overpriced not much but if you follow foreign brands they have always been little higher compared to Indian brands in terms of pricing. Verdict: for first two days i thought i have made a mistake but...now..boy o boy...this is an absolute killer of machine. If you are planning to buy a bike at this price. You can totally go for it you won't regret.
I agree to dat line. Ki first 2 days one thinks ki mistake ho gayi hai MT leke. But jaise jaise din bitega, chalaaoge aur, toh ull start falling in luv wid it. Its addictive.
@samuraisparrow666 Same here begginner, unfortunately crash guard not recommended in this bike as it gets bolted right where the fuel injector is... A bad fall and u might damage it... So, if not crash guard tank panel may get damaged, but replacing tank cover cheaper than replacing fuel injection system...

....no one talks about the uni track rear mono shock, it is mounted below the swing arm and near to the center of gravity which keeps the weight of the bike and the riders weight near to the ground providing best stability and handling , moreover, this rear suspension setup helps push the bike towards the ground and helps the bike stay glued to the tarmac . Usd shocks combined with a perimeter frame, uni track rear suspension and an alloy swing arm together make this bike THE best handling bike in its class , do stunting, wheelies, stopies, sliding , drifting, hit the corners hard and the bike remains rock solid no matter what !! What a machine it is !!!.😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘
My cousin recently got this machine, I took it for a little spin today for the first time (around 20ish kms) This thing is beautiful, if you're thinking why this 155cc motorcycle costs Rs. 2 lac, I'll answer you. This motorcycle is one of those VERY FEW bikes that do everything. Looks absolutely stunning, the handling is very very comfy and it gives decent enough mileage. Generally when you go for looks in a motorcycle, you compromise on mileage, but not with this. You can ride this to your office and you can go on weekend rides without having to worry about the lack in power.
The only issue that I feel is not talked about is the vibrations on the pillian seat. That is the only issue with this motorcycle, other than that, this is 🤌🏽

A little unpopular opinion. SINGLE CHANNEL ABS WORKS BETTER in Indian conditions. Especially because of our broken and gravely roads, where dual channel abs would only increase the stopping distance. This only holds true for any experienced rider. I say this because I 99% of the times rely on front brakes to stop which is much safer. Only touch the rear brake when I feel like I need additional braking power or stability at rear end or just for the fun of it when on a trail 😁. Anyway, great review Aman. As always.
Absolutely true bro...when we have option to turn off abs everyone turns it off..and now complaining about dual channel hehe. See no hate but I agree with what u said even I stop with front brakes and for slowing and all rear brakes
@@nagyashwanth5823 I feel the same about slipper clutch. If you know how to rev match on down shifts, you don't need one. Then again, I am the kind of person that prefers minimal electronics, an analogue feel if you will. It might not look like in my pic but I am 30. Been riding since I was 12 so got a lot of experience under my belt.

You are the only one who said absence of dual channel is not apparent in this bike. Thanks. Other reviewers got this one wrong. For a lower power bike like this rear abs should not be there. If it is there then it should be switchable. Stopping breaking should be from front and rear one is for fun.

I bought Mt 15 Bs4 and it has been more than 2 years, it is my first bike. The bike will not perform like higher cc motor cycle but in the ride , in traffic or in hill curvy road, you can ride it slowly in higher gears or you can ride it touching rev limiter in every single gear, in straights in curves it will not disappoint. I will say it will bring smile on your face. yes it is higher in terms of price but man you will not regrate buying it if you are buying it for first bike or shifting from other 150 cc bike. talking about dual channel ABS, yes Yamaha has missed it, but I like it sliding around in dirt :P .

@@aniket15 it seems you using bike for long tour, Mts suspension is stiff and seat is also stiff. May not be comfortable, for that long stretch. Wind visor is also missing so it may tire you with a wind blow. Go for something else. Hope I was helpfull

Agree, but this engine doesn't really suit the nature expected from a cruiser. The power is there, but torque is lacking and where the MT-15's low weight can effectively hide this lack of torque, I doubt a heavier bike will bog the engine down at low revs. The 250cc from the FZ25 would suit an Enticer better. Oh, wishful thinking at its peak!

Yamaha should give this console ( even without Bluetooth but same size and layout to FZ25 ) FZ 25 console needs seriously some upgrade. Dual channel ABS is a miss here . Hope yamaha thinks about pillion on this bike some day.
@Barun Brother in such street fighter bikes they don't take pillion factor in consideration. Mt is a bike which will look pathetic with long seat. Looks wise it's good as it is
I have this bike in Indonesia, it's a great bike with one huge problem. The rear shock/spring is set up for a very heavy rider or two up riding. My bike had zero free or no rider sag in the rear, the spring simply did not compress under the weight of the bike, good suspension sags here 10%. With me on the bike, I am 75 kgs, the rear moved (rider sag) very little, it should sag about 30% of the rear travel. The shock itself is also too soft, so after a bump, the spring would rebound way too fast. This pushed my butt off the seat. The solution was a$300 quality shock from YSS. I wonder if you guys have the same shock as my bike? Well balanced suspension, with the rider sitting on the bike should sag or collapse about 30%.
@@Diablo69142 I had a Suzuki naked 150 cc something (forget the model now) naked bike in sri lanka. It was air cooled, looked and performed ok......The MT15 is really a very nice bike. It's well built, lots of nice details and so on. The engine is real nice as well, still 155cc, but it pulls well, the variable valve timing does make a difference, you can feel it in your butt. transmission, clutch,silky smooth. I also think its a great looking bike, my is the silver with orange wheels. Its Yamaha, so if you take care of it, it should run forever. The only thing that was very!!! wrong with my Indonesian bike was the rear shock. I even wrote to Yamaha, got some bs reply. Maybe your market gets a better shock. Just sit on the bike, the rear needs to go down about 30 % suspension travel. The spec is for 100 mm of rear travel so you want 30 mm or 3 cm at min. Hope this helps.
Lucky are the ones who Bought BS4 MT 15 which has 19.3 bhp of power and 14.7nm of torque... @ 1lakh 62k price ...Also along with Free Jacket or Helmet you can choose anyone between these two.

Leg guard lagane k jagah nai hai... Took a delivery today of Black MT 15 2.0 ... But I'm in love with the bike... Slipper clutch makkhan hai.... Pyaar se bhi chalo 7500 rpm k niche .... 6th gear aaram se 45-50 mey lag jata hai.... I reved it up in 3 gear and directly shifted to the top gear ie 3 gear back to back shifting @50 kmph... It's a total street fighter... With Amazing turning radius ! Total Tomboy !! Looks like an Autobot from the movie transformers ❤️
Hi Saroj Bhai, Nai 60kmph k andar hi chalai hai... And the bike is very stable while driving... However arram se chala raha hun toh abhi tak bohot sudden braking ki jaroorat nai lagi hai ! But still as I'm have driven pulsar 150 for long which is having no abs at all I am more happy with the bike... Also full tank karwaya tha 120 km ho gaya hai fuel meter still full... So i am happy with the mileage ... May be a trade off between rear abs.
Bhai, Did refueling today... Brim to brim method se ki... 6.05 ltr for 300 km (exact). All in all 50kmpl ka mileage mila mujhe ... Toh Highway par 55 and city traffic mey 45 Maan k chal saktey ho. I rode solo most of the times with occasional agressive riding... My average speed is 32+ kmph.
I am a big mt fanboy but still I am confused between mt15 v2 and pulsar n250. Look Bluetooth and stuffs are not even a consideration for me. Pulsar providing single channel abs with a way more powerful engine. Mt costs 192000 on road here in Kolkata 🙁
When I rode f250 I found it's engine super smooth ND has excellent bottom end punch. ND mid range is wow. But u can also check fz25 it's a beast looking motorcycle

I am now confused between Apache 200, pulsar n250, this and dominor. Mt has good mileage amongst these, but not sure how it will perform in highway. Moreover the rear seat is not that conformable for lets say our mom. Price difference between Apache, pulsar and MT is just 20k and this increases my confusion
I was same confused between all those options you opted. Lastly, considering the fuel prices, milage, and my Mom sometimes too... I went for Apache RTR RM special edition Matt Black 160 4v. And believe me brother, I'm proud of my decision. I'm getting 47 kmpl with great cushioned seats for both. As well as enough power for me to ride in both City and highways. Max Speed i achieved very easily without noticing after 35 days of buying was 110 kmph. Mai bhot aram se 110+ jaskta tha 120,125 but nyi bike hai. Hath rokna pda. Wrna ye to bhag hi rhi thi Bina btae. 😂
Guys if you are confused between buying duke 200 or mt 15 then without having second thought go with this bike. If it was with previous bs4 duke 200 then it would have been vice versa

Aluminum swing arm, USD forks are good but dual channel abs or led indicators are missing apart from that it's a Good Bike.

A little unpopular opinion. SINGLE CHANNEL ABS WORKS BETTER in Indian conditions. Especially because of our broken and gravely roads, where dual channel abs would only increase the stopping distance. This only holds true for any experienced rider.
I say this because I 99% of the times rely on front brakes to stop which is much safer. Only touch the rear brake when I feel like I need additional braking power or stability at rear end or just for the fun of it when on a trail 😁.

You are the only one who said absence of dual channel is not apparent in this bike. Thanks. Other reviewers got this one wrong. For a lower power bike like this rear abs should not be there. If it is there then it should be switchable. Stopping breaking should be from front and rear one is for fun.

I bought Mt 15 Bs4 and it has been more than 2 years, it is my first bike. The bike will not perform like higher cc motor cycle but in the ride , in traffic or in hill curvy road, you can ride it slowly in higher gears or you can ride it touching rev limiter in every single gear, in straights in curves it will not disappoint. I will say it will bring smile on your face.
yes it is higher in terms of price but man you will not regrate buying it if you are buying it for first bike or shifting from other 150 cc bike.
talking about dual channel ABS, yes Yamaha has missed it, but I like it sliding around in dirt :P .

Mts suspension is stiff and seat is also stiff.
May not be comfortable, for that long stretch.
Wind visor is also missing so it may tire you with a wind blow.
Go for something else.

Agree, but this engine doesn't really suit the nature expected from a cruiser. The power is there, but torque is lacking and where the MT-15's low weight can effectively hide this lack of torque, I doubt a heavier bike will bog the engine down at low revs. The 250cc from the FZ25 would suit an Enticer better. Oh, wishful thinking at its peak!

Yamaha should give this console ( even without Bluetooth but same size and layout to FZ25 ) FZ 25 console needs seriously some upgrade. Dual channel ABS is a miss here . Hope yamaha thinks about pillion on this bike some day.

I have this bike in Indonesia, it's a great bike with one huge problem. The rear shock/spring is set up for a very heavy rider or two up riding. My bike had zero free or no rider sag in the rear, the spring simply did not compress under the weight of the bike, good suspension sags here 10%. With me on the bike, I am 75 kgs, the rear moved (rider sag) very little, it should sag about 30% of the rear travel. The shock itself is also too soft, so after a bump, the spring would rebound way too fast. This pushed my butt off the seat. The solution was a$300 quality shock from YSS. I wonder if you guys have the same shock as my bike? Well balanced suspension, with the rider sitting on the bike should sag or collapse about 30%.

@@Diablo69142 I had a Suzuki naked 150 cc something (forget the model now) naked bike in sri lanka. It was air cooled, looked and performed ok......The MT15 is really a very nice bike. It's well built, lots of nice details and so on. The engine is real nice as well, still 155cc, but it pulls well, the variable valve timing does make a difference, you can feel it in your butt. transmission, clutch,silky smooth. I also think its a great looking bike, my is the silver with orange wheels. Its Yamaha, so if you take care of it, it should run forever. The only thing that was very!!! wrong with my Indonesian bike was the rear shock. I even wrote to Yamaha, got some bs reply. Maybe your market gets a better shock. Just sit on the bike, the rear needs to go down about 30 % suspension travel. The spec is for 100 mm of rear travel so you want 30 mm or 3 cm at min. Hope this helps.

Pyaar se bhi chalo 7500 rpm k niche .... 6th gear aaram se 45-50 mey lag jata hai.... I reved it up in 3 gear and directly shifted to the top gear ie 3 gear back to back shifting @50 kmph... It's a total street fighter... With Amazing turning radius ! Total Tomboy !! Looks like an Autobot from the movie transformers ❤️

Hi Saroj Bhai, Nai 60kmph k andar hi chalai hai... And the bike is very stable while driving... However arram se chala raha hun toh abhi tak bohot sudden braking ki jaroorat nai lagi hai ! But still as I'm have driven pulsar 150 for long which is having no abs at all I am more happy with the bike... Also full tank karwaya tha 120 km ho gaya hai fuel meter still full... So i am happy with the mileage ... May be a trade off between rear abs.

Bhai, Did refueling today... Brim to brim method se ki... 6.05 ltr for 300 km (exact). All in all 50kmpl ka mileage mila mujhe ... Toh Highway par 55 and city traffic mey 45 Maan k chal saktey ho. I rode solo most of the times with occasional agressive riding... My average speed is 32+ kmph.

I am a big mt fanboy but still I am confused between mt15 v2 and pulsar n250. Look Bluetooth and stuffs are not even a consideration for me. Pulsar providing single channel abs with a way more powerful engine. Mt costs 192000 on road here in Kolkata 🙁

When I rode f250 I found it's engine super smooth ND has excellent bottom end punch. ND mid range is wow.

I am now confused between Apache 200, pulsar n250, this and dominor. Mt has good mileage amongst these, but not sure how it will perform in highway. Moreover the rear seat is not that conformable for lets say our mom. Price difference between Apache, pulsar and MT is just 20k and this increases my confusion

I was same confused between all those options you opted. Lastly, considering the fuel prices, milage, and my Mom sometimes too... I went for Apache RTR RM special edition Matt Black 160 4v. And believe me brother, I'm proud of my decision. I'm getting 47 kmpl with great cushioned seats for both. As well as enough power for me to ride in both City and highways. Max Speed i achieved very easily without noticing after 35 days of buying was 110 kmph. Mai bhot aram se 110+ jaskta tha 120,125 but nyi bike hai. Hath rokna pda. Wrna ye to bhag hi rhi thi Bina btae. 😂
Mt also gives 47+ mileage with advanced tech engine and superb refinement
