I think it’s a good plan to never settle for anything that is just adequate. You are at a point where you have other options. Accepting something that is just okay and still having to make concessions especially if there are other options probably means you will never be satisfied with your purchase. There are always dealbreakers in every large transaction and having a less than stellar workspace was that dealbreaker. On a much smaller scale, having a telecoil , being able to adapt a program and Bluetooth connectivity were the dealbreakers when I selected a hearing aid. I doubt you would have ever been completely satisfied with the new location due to the concessions you have to make to your plan. On another note, Memorial Day has always been a day to honor those who have passed. I have a busy day tomorrow attending church services and placing flowers.

Interesting you are sharing about your fear for the upcoming uncertain economy and getting into a massive debt. I almost purchased a Cadillac Escalade which was offered at 23% interest rate with a 72 months loan, after a hefty down payment of $25,000.00 My husband thank goodness talked me out of it, and after sleeping on it for several nights, I came to his same conclusion that we need to stay clear from acquiring new debt with the way things are now. We decided to pay down our debt considerably instead, pay all our obligations ahead for at least 3 months, build a nest that can carry us for one year if we were to lose our income, and wait until the interest rate goes down. I feel you did a great decision and down the road you guys are going to be so glad you didn’t purchase this property. By the way the economy is nowadays, I bet there will be a lot more properties available that will be even a much better fit for your purpose and budget. Good job Cliff!
