14:44 Ah, the good ol' Canadian Stare-Off, where two Canadians freeze in silence. So polite are they that neither can take the risk of interrupting the other. Some have witnessed this display of utmost civility last for days on end. Also good review!
1.put melee attack unit next to his base (armor side facing up toward open space) 2.put ranged unit NE of that melee unit aiming at his base. Basically trading 1 damage for 2 on bases if attack is triggered as is. (although he can turn his ranged unit.)
The alternative is that he triggers an attack now, taking a hit but clearing the board. That gives him the chance to fill up one of the spaces between the bases.
It looks like Pep isn't going to be able to make any meaningful plays for the current turn, but he will be able to set up for future turns. Both of Rodney's units will be attacking before Pep even has a chance to get a shot off, so he won't be able to prevent him from doing anything. It may be best to discard the Armored Hunter and initiate a battle. He would then clear up the board, take 1 HQ damage, and have saved a ranged unit to take advantage of his HQ and ranged module on his next turn. Ideally, he would place the Armored Guard where his Guard currently is, but if Rodney takes that spot during his turn, Pep could then place it adjacent to his HQ aligned toward the enemy HQ.
Rodney I have added a beer to the bet I made with my friend. He loves this game. I will let you know who wins when you and pep finish this game. I'm sorry about my Facebook ranting. These are terrible times we live in, I understand. I will always be a huge fan of you and watch it played. Great segment you were in with Jason Levine
+joe nardo Do you have the link for the segment with Jason? I remember he shot some video with me, I'll have to go look it up! And yes, I tend to avoid as many rants in my Facebook feed as possible. I generally find that they just inspire conflict, something I'm not looking for in that area of my life. Thanks for understanding!
1. Ditch the battle token. 2. Place the Armored hunter next to Rodney's base with the Armor facing his base and the token above it. 3. Place the armored guard to the right of your base with the armor facing Rodney's #2. This can provide support to anything he may place behind your armored guard. if you're lucky enough to beat it's initiative. Plus you've secured a spot next to his base to get a couple shots in and prevent him from using his +1 again.
Pep: Throw away the Armored Hunter, put the Armored Guard next to your base and ranged booster so a ranged attack is facing Rodney's Assassin, then use the battle.
Coming this week is the dice towers top ten gaming moments. I'm 100 percent sure that on Tom vassal list will be a Tom vs Rodney gaming moment. Tom mentioned this over a month ago, which made me wonder when it was gonna be shown. But what game will it be?
I am fairly confident Rodney disagrees with some of my philosophical debates and my view on the topic of negative reviews (which is fine :) ) but I think we can both agree that when playing Neuroshima Hex, using the proper unit names when playing is a thumbs up in almost every way.
I've been playing the original game on my tablet. I have been wondering how easy it is to switch to the board version. Sometimes when the board fills up, I wonder if it would be easy to keep track of who shoots when and order of operations and such. I'd be interested to see if you fill a board up and how you handle it. (would be a nice side video to see)
+Robert Topper I won't likely do a side video for this, but I would say that as long as you don't pressure yourself to be quick, and both players are working together to check the orders over, it'll be fine (that said, who knows, maybe in our game play the board will get filled up!)

Also good review!
Thankfully we didn't get locked into a longer stare-off! :)
Cheesy banter? Yes. Some of my favorite board gaming videos? Yes. Thx
+G Berardo You keep watching, we'll keep serving the cheese :)
+Watch It Played excellent it does pair so well with the red I have in my cabinet.
I have plenty of cheese in my freezer for you. Perhaps some Gouda?
+Pep MacDonald This game looks very gouda!

YAY MORE GAMEPLAY
Enjoyed this one, thanks!
You're welcome!
Pep: Throw away the Armored Hunter, put the Armored Guard next to your base and ranged booster so a ranged attack is facing Rodney's Assassin, then use the battle.
OR you can keep the Armored Hunter to save for later and throw away the battle.

+joe nardo I don't know, he might have forgotten about our showdowns by the time he compiles the list :)
Shouldn't pep's ranged attack at your base do 2 damage because of his base? At 4:30-ish
His base is in a net, so it loses its abilities.

+AkaiSamurai Agreed!

Well, there is nothing in the hand to indicate change in initiative on soldiers. That is definitely a downside
If a unit that is providing a passive bonus and it gets "netted", does it still provide that passive bonus?
Nope. A net shuts it right down.

Ah okay, thanks!
Do you think if you find the time, if you and Luke could do a play through of RuneWars 2nd edition?
+Ryan Heckel Hey Ryan, not one I currently own, so it's not likely.

+joe nardo I have a bet on who you are betting will win!
