Yeah you can build ships probably 2x the size of ships on Starfield.
I feel your pain. I moved off Alioth a long time ago and only go back when I have no other choice :P
Yeah moving off was sure a struggle. I kinda wish I hadn't at this point. Madis is such a drab boring hell hole. I moved out there to join a group that had been working on a giant city I was going to be given a plot in it but that never happened.

Figured it out eventually. was my first big ship and my first move to another planet.
you need to build a smaller ship to learn how to build a ship that flies good
I had built a bunch of small ships that flew fine. This was not my first day in the game, was early on though. If I built that ship again I could get it to fly properly knowing what i've learned since then.
