Or not. I've seen some low-effort things so unfairly upvoted vs little gems with just 2 likes... T__T

@@NeatWolf all good man, I know the feeling. I'm not playing as much as I have been but I did put a bunch of camps in the best camps feature. I feel you on the low effort ones getting votes is pretty sad. gotten a few votes its a cool feature. I will be playing some on twitch when the rest of milepost zero comes out.

@@Cris-rv4kv It is like that sometimes. I wish we had custom world or vault building rules in adventure mode. Would save a ton of time and invalidate most of my videos but damn would it be easier.

@@rotomon wasn't expecting a response from such an old video. Your video is great at explaining and showing many helpful tips. I love learning all the tricks. I went and watched ur related videos all very helpful. I just mentioned my method as an add on as the method I use most often. It's kinda crazy what using the thrasher egg can do.

@@MunchyKrunch The game has so many weird interactions. One of the best newer ones is that industrial skin for the fusion generator makes it function without wires. Not sure if intended or a bug but that is a nice one. I think you can also hide the fusion generator with the spring trap and setting it off will do the same thing. I intentionally omitted those Breaking to hide things because my OCD of things being broken would get the best of me. Thanks for the suggestion though. Yeah I pretty much respond to all comments even if on old videos. channel is still small and to be fair I've done a lot of slacking lately on producing content life hasn't been the biggest motivator in a while.

@@rotomon true it powers most items wirelessly and that's a good point to add but there are a few items it won't power like the butter churn. I generally make it look like the power is coming from the churn by the method I mentioned above. Forgot that was the skin that did that. That's all I use

Glad it helped. Its just frustrating how mechanics change from patch to patch. I miss when you could attach walls to roof pieces and not just angled ones :(

@@rotomon hey I found a new way last night to set half walls. I laid roof down like u did, to put up Half wall. Then put two roofs turned one roof to half roof it let me set the half wall. If u need a vid I'll post one and tag you.

It was like this before, The only way to correct was start over or if You could get the stairs connected back to a foundation you could remove them or if you broke them with the flamethrower trap along with reattaching them. It would be so much nicer if they just gave us shelter or custom world building rules.

You can wire through the windows but I'd really just recommend my hidden power video.

About the only way to remove it is to get it grounded back to a foundation on the ground but its definitely a one way placement normally.

You can do this in one of a few ways. Place a generator inside and connect directly. Get the city fusion generator skin (doesnt require attaching to anything just radiates power within range), Or wire through a window or door way inside.

Its been a while since I made this. Not sure if it still works. they keep "Fixing" things then breaking them. But is good for posts. Theres also a power connector double post blueprint you can make to precisely place posts

Yeah its buggy but I still prefer 76 over other games with building. You just do not have the amount of pieces and options as it has. The only other game that even gets close or possibly better is enshrouded but it only makes up for it with the fact that the voxels kinda blend but you do lack the diversity of decorations.

You can wire through a wall easily by making a wall into a window or door then converting back to wall after connected.

The front door opens to a shelter entrance.

@@Irishdevil1165 unfortunately no, You click on the door and load into the instanced shelter.

@rotomon ohhh I meant like, as in, you look at the full build, and you see what the interior is from the exterior, and you can see it's not actuallly bigger on the inside.

@@Irishdevil1165 The part you see in the world is just the 1x1 box and theres nothing inside. When you open the door you see the shelter door. You cant see into the shelter or physical box and you cant see out of the shelter.

I agree, Or just let us free place like in vault or custom. I hit every point of this in my posts to them and my big rant recently. I love the building but Some things make me crazy.

@rotomon 100%, also why do they limit you to a specific window on a specific set of walls? You either have to exploit glitches, or settle for the same wall design or try to Mish mash pieces hoping they will work. It would be great if there are snap points to the walls so you could place any window style on the wall. Would make for big artistic freedom . I know I mentioned half foundations already, but how about angled ones as well? That would change the game so much

Yeah, I said in my rant that they need to change the wall mechanic to a frame that you place then you choose the window and door frame then skin the side the way you see fit. Would save so much time and budget not to have to double wall. You can do this to some extent in Once Human which I show in that video. The whole system needs revamped imo. Half and 1/4 walls and floors would be nice. Steeper and shallower ceiling pieces skinnable interior roof pieces would be nice. Would be nice if we could skin the sides of foundations too.@@BB-nm6oz
