- Seems like I am getting the hang of the new Losi Promoto MX RC, so today I am gonna have a rip around the field and see how long these SMC 5200MAH 100C battteries will run on a full charge!

What was run time I didn’t see anything below stating it?
It said it on the lower right side, 12min 19 sec. If drove easy it would definitely last longer.

I've seen the longest times from spektrum g2 so far .weird.
Thanks for commenting!!!My buddy has the Spektrum batteries, im gonna test them with my driving style,back to back on the same surface and see how they do. Run times vary depending on how its driven,as I'm sure u know. So hopefully i can run both batterys head to head. 👍

These bikes seem to have a higher low voltage cutoff. Probably to allow for shutdown of gyro. Battery sag /heat maybe throwing them into limp mode. Try turning off and back on after it shuts down. Then run again. Also check charger to see if it fully used battery. Probably not an issue with smart and high C batteries.
why would you try to run it again after it shuts down? you are unnecessarily draining the battery and that is a good way to get them batteries puffing up
I bought 2 Hoovo 5200 80c batteries on Amazon for $29! I’ve run 15 pack through, and consistently get 15 min with 3.6v left when I stop. That’s complete runtime(with@3 walks of shame)lol

@@RC_Car_Guy I haven't worked or looked at a crawler, or drone since I got this! I really want to get to a dirt surface. Haven't broke anything major. I've been running on pavement mostly, with gravel parking lot(the most fun) and grass thrown in. I'm about to do a second chain adjustment, and I don't like the play in the swingarm bearing, but it runs great, and am waiting for my street tires. I lost my exhaust tip:-( but carved one out of the foam block that was with chain adjusters. Looks pretty good. Lol Other than that, just putting in seat time. It's amazing how much better you get after 10 packs!

People complaining about battery times its because theres alot going on with it .the gyro is working hard to keep it upright enough where its fun
I agree. Two motors/gyro PLUS it is heavy. It is similar in weight (approx) to my 8th tekno buggy,which i run on 4S,this battery is half the size. . I've had no complaints with the run time, or the promoto at all. Other than my busted front brake. Thanks for commenting!
Any issues with the SMC battery fitting in the slot?
Thanks for the question! Nope, no problem at all regarding fit, BUT I bought it with Deans plug on battery and soldered IC5 on them to match the rc. The wire length of the battery is perfect, but none left over, so make sure not to remove much cable if resoldering. I can post a video of it on later Instagram to show the fit.

Using a 2s LiPo, your capabilities are limited. To extend runtime, I employ a Castle CC-BEC-2.0 alongside a 3s LiPo battery in my Losi Pro Moto. This setup also ensures the gyro remains safe from potential issues.
How well do these bikes handle wet conditions? Has anyone out there put one to the test?
I haven't tried,and don't know of anyone who has yet.
Have you checked temps on the long runs?
No i haven't, have u seen any overheating?

@kenknox6424 i didn't see that, did they say it overheated? How did they know? I ask because it seems hard to check the temps, or see the esc to check if its blinking codes.
Amain Hobbies is near central California, its been 100 degrees every day for a month. Every electric car will overheat in this weather.
