please, looks have always been important in kpop, and i don't say that to diminish TOP's greatness, i just find it odd how many people are romanticising the recent past when things werent really that different then. this wasnt a million years ago, it was 2013. and the beauty standards for idols have always been high. he's lucky enough to have ideal looks AND pure talent though.

Just need 3 things to make people fall in love with top rap: 1) he can rap faster than my internet 2) he pronounce the word clearly 3) the most important things which is he didn't even bother to rap full performance and didn't skip any part of this song.
Just imagine this: after so many years of isolation within himself and from the public, his first song back is a version of THIS song or a PART 2 (which he commented on a post saying he'll be back with DOOM DADA V2 in 2025), but based in the modern day for all the new GEN'S to see. And wait for it, he starts it all with " long time no see, long time no see". the K-POP world will blow their whole MINDS! and ill be proud to say "I was a part of it!"
WOW. I honestly was skeptical when I first heard Doom Dada, and thought, I wonder if it sounds that good when he performs it live. A lot of good rappers and vocalists don't know when to time their breaths, and let the backtrack cover for them. He didn't. Bravo. I'm new to the whole K-Pop scene, but it's exciting to discover some very talented international stars. And only this guy could pull off a giant white bow/cravat while toting a mega-microphone on his back, and still look cool.
Yeah. a lot of talented artists in kpop! If rap and hip-hop is your thing I'd recommend Epik High's new album "Shoebox". If you wanna hear more TOP then check out his work with G-Dragon. Their album is (simply) titled "GD&TOP". I've been listening to Taeyang's album "RISE" nonstop recently, as well (honestly, it's a masterpiece). Oh btw, TOP, G-Dragon and Taeyang are part of a group called BigBang along with 2 other members (Seungri and Daesung) if you'd like to check them out as well. I'd start with live performances first. Enjoy~
I think the reason he doesn't dance as much is because he needs to control his breath so that his rap wouldn't be affected by breathing sounds. I have watched other rappers live and not many can do it as good as him. Most of them took their breath hard and loud(i trully hate that) but Top never does that.
T.o.p is so talented he composed that rap song him self and he is the one decides how the instrument sound like to that doom dada..love you bigbang but my bias is TOP
To think at one point in his life he was the little fat kid that everyone probably picked on and made fun of and now look at him... one of the best looking and most successful people in the industry... he is a true inspiration and such a beautiful person inside and out

I don’t understand Korean people and idols, as far as I know, they never take TOP as their role model or idol of their music career or rap world. But, they follow TOP’ path, and transforming underground rapper to idol rapper. And the biggest thing is, every idol group has a member of deep voice and talented one responsible for rapper of this group. This is the blueprint of TOP. Why Korean are reluctant to admit that TOP is one of their inspirations.
Its funny how people just discivering T.O.P because of Squid Game..lol He is Big name in Korea he is BIGBANG! for god sake!!!! it just happened he had a scandal so Koreans are shamed of him but we VIP's love this guy and support him no matter what!
