Caught these guys once back in the day…heavy AF! No Rick no 25 ta life 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
LIKE IT OR NOT, NO RICK TA LIFE ON VOCALS.......NO 25 TA LIFE !!!!!
Like shattered realm if the music is good I'll still listen to it but yea with vocals as signature as Rick's it's not "true" 25 ta life without him
So true. Rick is 25 ta life.
nowadays nobody talks about Rick Healey, he´s a living legend, no matter if he´s having some issues like anyonelse, nobody is perfect.....who hasn´t been struggling in life sometimes? I met him in L.A. in a 25 TA LIFE show at the church of the 8th day in 2010 and he´s one of the most simple human beings.....respect to the true old school pioneers...... LOYAL TO THE GRAVE !
One of the nicest guys I've ever met.
Respect bro!!
I remember he played here in Richmond and had the flu, the mic died and he then got a bloody nose(one of those nights lol) so he finished the show with rolled up sheets of paper as a microphone!! Was bad ass lol and he actually passed it to the crowd like a mic to sing along lmao. Was so damn cool and fun. Mid-late 90's the good ol days 🤘
I saw these guys with Hatebreed back in '98 at Showcase theater, I can't remember if it was in San Diego or Corona, but it was packed and the entire floor was a pit, it was the only hardcore show I've ever been to where I was actually a little scared being on the floor. It was shortly after Raybeez died and toward the end of their set Rick said "Let's pile it up for Raybeez!" And the pile up was all the way to the balcony on the left side of the stage, there were literally people stepping off of the balcony onto the pile up, just one of the most amazing hardcore shows I've ever been a part of.
and hatebreed suck soooo bad! no arguments there.

Baghhhhhaaa!!! Haven't heard this since 1998!! Wow I'm old AF!!! R.I.P BIRCHHILL
I can’t front, this stuff carried the scene into the 90s, love the slayer riffs mixed wit da hardcore, Roger Miret inspired vocals, wit da fat beats , straight up hardcore, sounds like slayer mixed wit agnostic front.
This is metal, not hardcore. There is no hardcore here.
@Happy Fist "Identified"? By whom? Irrelevant. Let's face it: this is basically pure metal with gangsta hip hop lyrics/attitude. Not hardcore, not musically, not lyrically.
@Happy Fist NYHC is NOT a genre. 25 Ta Life are metal because they SOUND metal. The fact they associate themselves with the hardcore scene is irrelevant, because only music matters. I don't care who they hang out with or what record label releases their records. If they base all their songs on typical metal riffs, then they are metal. I was born in 1979 and I listen to metal since 1989-90 and hardcore since '91-'92. I can tell the difference between the two. If you want proper hardcore then listen to Minor Threat, early M.D.C., S.S.D., D.Y.S., Negative FX, Jerry's Kids, early Bad Brains, early Agnostic Front, Cause For Alarm, Antidote, Stark Raving Mad, early D.R.I., Septic Death, Siege, early Die Kreuzen, Negative Approach, Neon Christ, Unity, Uniform Choice, Justice League, Youth Of Today, Straight Ahead, Up Front, Wide Awake, Brotherhood, Carry Nation, No For An Answer, early Sick Of It All, Floorpunch, Ten Yard Fight, Shutdown, Kill Your Idols. 25 Ta Life sound nothing like these bands, instead they sound like Slayer, Celtic Frost and Obituary.
@@piotrb8434 so what you nerd, I put money on it you're European. Its 90s hardcore, metal was mixed but its far from the fantasy/mystical lyrical style of metal. This is hardcore. Facts.
One of the heaviest breakdowns in hardcore ever! 1:15!
you havent heard Breakdown then.... almost every one of their tracks is the heaviest breakdowns in NYHC
@@xisotopex I agree, that breakdown is ridiculously groovy and heavy
this is there last hardcore album before they really made a wrong turn! meaning to all who are wondering sold out.I personally met Rick h. and besides knowing him a little in the hardcore world in n.y.c and the clubs 25talife was my favorite new school n.y.c.hardcore band! I have been listening to punk/hardcore music since "1984" folk,s. I also have 25ta life,s first 2demo, s on cassette! I bought my first demo at the now closed bleecker Bob,s in the village n.y.c.
No one gives a fuck bitch!! This band sucks ass.
@@chuy8356 why are you here then?
I beat the shit out of rick once. I also paid him to play some shows I put on. This ep is fucking killer. Don't get into coke kids, or you might have to sell your horse, and then you'll have to walk everywhere.
BRINGING IT BACK
Through unity
Talk shit all ya want but they killed every time they played here.
Damn! I haven't heard this since I was probably 19 or 20. Still hard as fuck. I love ricks vocals on this cd especially, really raw sounding.
Always loved that fucking Destruction styled riff on Turning Point
Good shit. Tough guy I m gonna be.
favorite.
You misspelled 'strength' in your video title broheim
makes it mosh harder
Strength through unity!!! Like the graffiti artwork on this!! These guys were always underrated like overcast from Connecticut!
Alot of bands from CT are underrated, most people only know hatebreed and 100 demons and thats it lmao
Rick ta life? Great guy, never heard of him. .
Petition to get Rick ta life on the pawldcast, B. Now get back on the fryers, Vast.

rick ta life is a hardcore legend and I don't care what his religion is
Is he better these days? He had a real mental breakdown a couple years back. Haven't seen anything about him in a while.
Yeah he's been getting up, thanks for asking.nice to see people can look beyond scene beef and have legitimate concern, I did 7 years in prison have no time for this fake bullshit after all that time, I played on a few 25 TA life CDs actually more than anyone else, and I love it all, hail 25 TA life drop the b.s
Please see strength integrity brotherhood full length in my opinion the best 25 TA life CD next to this one, not because I'm on it.lifes to short scene to small cut the shit.prayers for our struggling, dead and battling brothers and sisters.

thats weird.I have this on triple crown records, and theres no bonus track on it.
+SuckDaNutz Yo the euro version on Goodlife (the green/blue cover art) has the bonus track.
ok crazy.I was wondering why it had different colored cover art.I thought mAybe the one was for vinyl..ed goodlife is tha shit..I bought a cd yrs back Aftershock-through the looking glass, back in 2000 or so,ed goodlife was the label of it.Heaviest record Ive had that was metalcore at that time..
No, it's not weird. It happens. A lot.
Again and again... strength, not strenght. Wasn't anyone paying attention in class?

Don't disrespect my crew.
Music for men who like kissing boys
And pretending to be women.
is Rick really a racist?
No!
YES...yes, in fact, he tried to put the band back together and he played with an avowed Nazi ... shit ... but hey now 25 TA LIFE plays with STICKMAN ...
This is metal not hardcore. This sounds closer to Celtic Frost and Slayer than Minor Threat or Cause For Alarm. This is exactly what 90's "hardcore" was - simplistic metal mixed with gangsta rap attitude and esthetics.
Metalcore
@piotrb8434 This is hardcore from new york city
