I did used the iPhone 14 Pro in purple for couple weeks when my iPhone 14 was getting repaired. I did liked it. It was just a little bit heavy for me. I liked my 14 since I also have it almost 2 years on Black Friday 2022.
The battery is plain bad for heavy use, but for me, with about 90% battery health, it is enough. To be honest I'm tempted by the 16 pro but it's definitely not a wise financial decision and my 14 pro can handle another two years easily.
And most of the feature of 16 pro is very user case specific like usb c if you are transferring large files so frequently and 120fps 4 K! Action button turned out to be totally dispensable (people usually try to invent a reason just to feel action button is doing something different) and camera control is a flop so far. 5x Zoom again very specific user case. Realistically all upgrades from 14 to 16 pro is very niche user case. Lastly, Apple Intelligence won't be a fully fledged thing until the next iPhone cycle launch so having 16 pro is like an upgrade that is waiting to happen, and by the time it does, iphone 17 will be few weeks away!

Anyways, from next year and on I will be a student and I will be very short on money, so I can see myself keeping it for “the rest of its lifespan” I just think that by June 2026 (3rd year) a battery swap would be appreciated and by June 2027 (forth year) it would be absolutely necessary. Even though battery swaps are kind expensive, I won’t be cheap on it because poor battery will be the only thing ruining the experience.

Still using it now even after several pretty expensive repairs - one where it didn't turn on and recently the battery stopping working. I'd rather just keep using it despite it not being perfect anymore - I miss jailbreak themeing dearly but not enough to buy an old iphone on the right software. But mainly why pay more for uninteresting upgrades when I actively try to use my phone less anyway. not that u asked lol
also the battery health never actually got below 85% on mine before it just stopped charging and falsely detected an aftermarket battery. Now it has an aftermaket one.
I just picked one up for $300 by hawking the fb market place for weeks since I killed my 12 pro (again) searching for a new phone. It has a hairline crack on the bottom left corner, and surface level scratches on the screen, but it was a steal I couldn’t pass up. Only had to drive 45 min, 128gb and fully unlocked. As of right now I see having lightning as a PLUS because all the large retailers are having clearance sales on everything lightning and cases for older model iPhones are also on clearance. I love buying used, you keep money within the people, away from corporate greed, and make the most of your $$$$$
Still somehow using a iPhone 7 Plus in 2024, it may be a bit slow but still works perfectly fine with the exception of battery life and maybe the rare compatibility issues with a few applications
I’m owning a 14 Pro as well, except for the battery life, which used to exceed over 6hrs of SOT and now needs a boost in mid day, it’s the same phone as the 16 pro for most of the time. Guess the industry has reached the peak hardware upgrade status and needs to make up for that with software marketing.
@@jayjayare But that doesn’t mean battery life on iPhones is worse, because the SoC is working much more energy efficient. Never compare mAh of an iPhone and a Android-smartphone, and decide which phone has better battery life.
I don’t think it’d be wise to go for an iPhone that’s already missing 2 years of updates coverage. After all, it doesn’t matter, when you bought it, when the iPhone gets roughly 5-6 years of updates depending on the SoC used, starting with the release of the iPhone model.

Watching this on my iPhone 14 Pro. I’m a heavy user of this phone. I use it for work all day and for watching tons of UA-cam. I’ve had it since launch and my battery still says about 88% which I find pretty crazy considering his much I use it. This is my first iPhone but it will be my last. I like the build quality and the camera is very reliable but there’s been so much I’ve been missing from Android that it’s not worth getting a new one.
I also use 14 pro. It’s perfect for me. I’m waiting for all 48MP cameras and 24MP front camera then I will switch to new iPhone. I don’t like this new capture and camera buttons.
When I had this phone my battery wasn’t great. I did have the 15 PM and that battery was actually worse. On a 16 PM now and honestly battery is very good so far.
The most discounted new iPhone from people like Amazon is the iPhone 14 Plus. This is the best iPhone to buy because it has the longest battery life of any iPhone. It achieves this because a large display hides a large battery and because having less power consuming less complex electronics than a pro increases its battery life.
I use to have this phone. The finest issue now is that it doesn’t have USB-C and no AI. It’s also too heavy and honestly heavy overall. If you have it though, it no problem to hold off another year or two.
Upgraded just for the same reasons, not to mention the 16 pro's battery is way better than my 14 pro's was in 2022. Adresses the complains I had with it, and I could sell it for 975USD. Perhaps I'll keep the 16 pro for at least 4 years (same as I did with my old iPhone XS)
It will be 2 years in Feb since I got my 14 pro max it’s still a champ no complaints at all my health is on 90% which is good considering it’s close to 2 years my only gripe is that the 14 pro and max is very powerful!!! The A16 is still a beast and with 6gb of ram i thought it would be more than enough to handle the new Ai I’m torn if I should keep it another year or just jump to the 16 pro max
I went to Best Buy to play with the 16 pro a bit and wasn’t impressed, i literally just imagined my Home Screen on it and was convinced I’m not gonna get that phone, I have 13 Pro Max tho, so 14 pro max is kinda tempting and I always loved the black on it
iPhone 14 pro max user here, also at 85% battery health so I’m definitely upgrading. But, I’m strongly considering the iPhone 16 plus, not the 16 Pro Max. I realized I don’t really need the zoom of the pros, I don’t need the pro video features cause I’m just watching youtube and doom scrolling all day on my phone anyway 😂. Yes I’ll miss the 120hz refresh display, but I turned on the limit fps to 60hz option in my phone rn and I’m surprisingly getting used to 60hz again. Still wish the regular phones had at least a 90hz refresh rate, but other than that the regular 16 series is more than enough for me and everybody else who isn’t a content creator or a “pro” user.
is the battery actually that bad? i have an iphone 12 and i’ve been thinking of getting that model, but i heard that it had various issues with the battery life…
It comes down to predictable usage. If it serves the predicted and stable purpose then it is not worth replacing. I had an iPhone 8 and my patterns were predictable until I rode a motorbike across the nation on holiday. This year I upgraded after the holiday. I had considered it for the the past two iterations of iPhone but never needed it. This year the limitations became apparent.
The things people don’t like about this phone, I LOVE IT! Stainless steel, love it! Heavy weight, love it! Sharp edges, FUCKING LOVE IT!!! The feel of the phone and the weight really makes it feel premium, like holding a stack of money. Unfortunately 15 pro came out, so I bought instead. No more reflective stainless steel, no more sharp edges, and not as heavy, and the smallest pro max model. Sad.
That the battery is bad is not true I have bought my iPhone 14 Pro since the beginning where it is newly presented and have 89% battery it lasts a whole day You just have to take good care of it
I have had an iPhone 14 Pro for almost two years and the battery health has dropped dramatically and it is making it hard to use day to day. I use it mostly for music in my car and sometimes TikTok when I get home and get about 4 hours of screen on time and end the day out with it almost dead.

Also still rocking a 14 Pro. 87% battery health and if I do it right, I can still stretch I think about 10 hours of screen on time before it needs plugged in. And considering I come from a phone that used to last 30 minutes off a charger, I have no room to complain 🙂
Just bought one for $365 off eBay. I rarely pay full price for Apples overpiced products. I always wait 2-3 years to buy the older models.
I just picked up the 14 pro refurbished from Apple. Great phone, expect it to last at least 3 years
Nice! What storage capacity did you get?
@@iClassic 256
How much did it cost? Got one for 550, 91% battery
@@GodRockCafeare you getting it in the USA ? & what state ? asking because in my end apple refurbished isn’t only have the 512gb & 1tb gb still looking to get it
I did used the iPhone 14 Pro in purple for couple weeks when my iPhone 14 was getting repaired.
Another 2? More like entirety of its lifespan. If a 10 yo Galaxy Note 5 can still be usable, so can an iPhone 14 Pro
@@AzureRT456 I don’t disagree from a usability standpoint, but I like having the latest and greatest, also for me my phone serves my status…. I have no watch, no fancy clothes, no nothing “luxurious”, except my phone, which is the only thing that interests me, because I think it’s the best justifiable “luxury”.
I am at 86 percent battery health on my 128gb iphone 14 pro max. 99% charged with an ipad charger. My friend who has the same phone charged with the standard sized charging brick since hes had it, and his battery health is also somehow at 86 percent. Apple fucked up majorly with the batteries on the 14 pro series.
Perhaps if you find a way to sell it high you can upgrade to the 15's or 16's for cheap. I had the 1TB iPhone 14 pro and sold it for 975 USD; was able to upgrade to the 512gb iPhone 16 pro for 445USD (Didn't need the full TB and I was already done with lightning). If not, in general is still a solid phone
I have the 14 Pro Max and I have no complaints. It functions as I need and I plan to keep it for another few years.
More than happy with my 14 Pro Max, no plans on upgrading yet. The 16 Pro is simply not the big upgrade that people think it is. My battery health is still 100% after 19 months of use.
Any tips for charging
@@AKA-MAFIAGAMING I only fully charge and decharge my battery once a month. For the rest of the time I keep my battery between 20 and 80 percent. I do the same for my Apple Watch SE2 and after 13 months its battery health is also 100%.
100% after 19 months is crazy. What’s your usual screen time per day
I bought it less than a month ago, and it's been great so far! It does everything I need in a fast way.
I still use an 256GB iPhone X
iPhone 16 regular size is probably the best phone for most people
the iphone 13 pm/13p is the best phone currently released by apple . there is no better iPhone for value
Just upgraded from 12! Kind of excited. But I still love the 12 lol
I’m still using my iPhone 12 Pro. I’m not gonna lie. This thing is still pretty nice. I got my battery at like 78% so it’s not amazing but I get a full day or less as long as I get it on the charger I like 10 o’clock straight.
How do you get a full day out of it. What’s your usual screen on time?
@@fasn279 I average about five hours
Iphone 14 Pro Max silver ! Is the best iphone apple ever made! After 2 years of heavy use , my 14 P.M looks brand new, the battery health still 100% I just received the 16 P. M , but im not impressed like the 14 P.M did 2 years ago , and until this day! Im in love with MY 14 P. M .
Today I got my iPhone 14 Pro for two years !!! I love it and I’m gonna use it all the way 😅
I Use an iPhone 14, I upgraded from my iPhone 8 in March of this year because it was on its last legs. No reason to upgrade unless your phone is broken or obsolete.
I got my 11pro for xmas after the 12 was already out, had to have midnight green. Personally I don't like the flat sides on such big phones despite the 4 being my fav body, my mum's 12 and 13 feel like bricks.
I love buying used, you keep money within the people, away from corporate greed, and make the most of your $$$$$
If the 14Pro got Apple Intelligence I would never change, but 16pro is worth it over 14Pro
Still somehow using a iPhone 7 Plus in 2024, it may be a bit slow but still works perfectly fine with the exception of battery life and maybe the rare compatibility issues with a few applications
yeah, i used a 7 until June, then i got an Iphone 13 mini
@@christiancarretta06 do you like your iPhone 13 mini? I think to buy that phone. I use iPhone SE 2016
@@nikitarealman4995 i like it, battery could be better
I’m owning a 14 Pro as well, except for the battery life, which used to exceed over 6hrs of SOT and now needs a boost in mid day, it’s the same phone as the 16 pro for most of the time. Guess the industry has reached the peak hardware upgrade status and needs to make up for that with software marketing.
Only downside is the battery…with heavy usage💯👍🏿
I'm pretty sure every phone has a bad battery with heavy usage (mainly iPhones)
@@jayjayareWhat makes you think „mainly iPhone“?
@@prodmxd they're just known for having small battery sizes ig
I mean they are well known for having comically small batteries even on their high end models
@@jayjayare But that doesn’t mean battery life on iPhones is worse, because the SoC is working much more energy efficient.
Never compare mAh of an iPhone and a Android-smartphone, and decide which phone has better battery life.
i have the exact phone but the max... stunning color!
I don’t think it’d be wise to go for an iPhone that’s already missing 2 years of updates coverage. After all, it doesn’t matter, when you bought it, when the iPhone gets roughly 5-6 years of updates depending on the SoC used, starting with the release of the iPhone model.
I love my regular iPhone 14 I know last year when I got it everybody was raving about how I should just get a 13 but I thought for a little bit better camera and specs. The 14 was worth it for me.
My 14 pro on 18.01 gives me 6-7 hours screen time, 18 hour days with 100% health battery
Battery replaced already?
@@noguys220 new apple replacement
@@noguys220 I had my 14 pro since day one and it ended with 84% health. Luckily I could sell it for 1100 dollars (was the 1TB model) and upgraded to the 16 pro for cheap.
Apple Intelligence is about to be amazing new life in iPhone
I also have an iPhone 14 Pro and I‘m still running iOS 16.3.1 on it. Battery life is not the best but it’s ok for me. My new iPhone 16 Pro is on the way and my 14 Pro will be a great piece for my collection
I've used plenty of iPhone but personally I think the 14 Pro Max is AMAZING! The battery life was pretty great for me (idk what y'all complaining abt). The fact that it's also the newest iPhone supporting jailbreak makes it even better.
I switched from a xiaomi 11 lite to the iphone 14 pro, im in love with the phone but charging is the only little issue i have. It takes a few hours to charge to 100% but its perfect
Can we please retire the term “daily driver?”
I like the build quality and the camera is very reliable but there’s been so much I’ve been missing from Android that it’s not worth getting a new one.
im definitely getting an iphone 14
14 pro max user here I love it
Love my iPhone 14 pro. It’s my first Pro iPhone ❤
Everything is LITERALLY PERFECT but the battery……
That is a very beautiful phone❤
Battery is the only drawback, but a powerbank fixes it. Great video nonetheless!
I upgraded my 14 Pro to a 15 Pro Max and don’t plan to change it for a long time
I also use 14 pro. It’s perfect for me. I’m waiting for all 48MP cameras and 24MP front camera then I will switch to new iPhone. I don’t like this new capture and camera buttons.
how is battery life is it true that it cant get a day w out a charge?
@@jettww 6h SOT so it depends
Have the same, not upgrading until 17 or 18. Needs a battery replacement but im ok with that
Love this channel! I also use the 14 Pro Max as well and I still love it
I have the 1TB version in dark purple. I like it.
iPhone 14 Pro Max was great.. Dynamic Island , nice Deep Purple and great battery too.. but that really heavy weight was throw off lol
no AI is a selling point for me lol, glad i missed out on all that but gutted there isn't usb c on this phone
When I had this phone my battery wasn’t great. I did have the 15 PM and that battery was actually worse. On a 16 PM now and honestly battery is very good so far.
I just upgraded from a 14 Pro to a 16 Pro, to be honest, the only improvement during use I felt is the battery duration.
The most discounted new iPhone from people like Amazon is the iPhone 14 Plus. This is the best iPhone to buy because it has the longest battery life of any iPhone. It achieves this because a large display hides a large battery and because having less power consuming less complex electronics than a pro increases its battery life.
ok i have the 14 pro max and the 15 pro max and the 14 pro max is amazing tbh
I use to have this phone. The finest issue now is that it doesn’t have USB-C and no AI. It’s also too heavy and honestly heavy overall. If you have it though, it no problem to hold off another year or two.
I updated to the 16 Pro for the reasons you mentioned and got a new 2 year contract and sold my 14 Pro.
I went to Best Buy to play with the 16 pro a bit and wasn’t impressed, i literally just imagined my Home Screen on it and was convinced I’m not gonna get that phone, I have 13 Pro Max tho, so 14 pro max is kinda tempting and I always loved the black on it
I use the black 128gb model iPhone 14 Pro I’m at 88% battery I’m loving it
Im also at 88% with a deep purple iphone just wish i had more than 128gb but manageable
Furry
i'm on iphon 11 pro and it's still great.
come on now. the 14 pro is only 2 years old....
iPhone 14 pro max user here, also at 85% battery health so I’m definitely upgrading.
我也是,喜欢lighting接口、不锈钢的质感、经典的静音键,当时买的1Tb版本,就等着更大的变化再升级,可两年了还没等到。缺点也比较明显,就是续航和夏季发热。
I still use my iPhone XS Max cos of 3D Touch lmfao (it’s got 79% battery health 😵)
iPhone 13 mini forever.
is the battery actually that bad? i have an iphone 12 and i’ve been thinking of getting that model, but i heard that it had various issues with the battery life…
It comes down to predictable usage.
Sad.
I upgraded from the 14 PM to the 16 PM, i just really wanted those AI features
11 pro max here. Had it since it came out
You dont even have dark mode on and youre complaining about the battery...
I use a 15 pro, I upgraded from 13 pro. The 16 pro is basically the same thing as 15 pro not worth upgrading. Battery life is ok last me all day.
Try the Pixel 9 pro if u gonna like it.
I have the 14Pro max and I love it.IAm not upgrading to the 16.My battery is down to 83% but I can get a new battery at Apple.
The blown out speaker would be a dealbreaker for me lol. I use my phone speakers all the time this is why you should get AppleCare
Yeah it sucks. Even this video that you’re watching sounds blown out on my phone’s speaker.
That the battery is bad is not true I have bought my iPhone 14 Pro since the beginning where it is newly presented and have 89% battery it lasts a whole day You just have to take good care of it
I love it, despite the terrible battery
I have had an iPhone 14 Pro for almost two years and the battery health has dropped dramatically and it is making it hard to use day to day. I use it mostly for music in my car and sometimes TikTok when I get home and get about 4 hours of screen on time and end the day out with it almost dead.
lol, I currently have an IPhone 14 Pro that I got on December 2022. Before that, I had an iPhone 7 that I had since launch back in 2016. It served me well but the phone crashed and burned after 6 years. Guess it was my time to upgrade 😅😅😅.
Mark that date in your calendar September 2028 for iphone 20. It can be a something so spectacular like iPhone x launch or maybe a downer like Apple watch 10. 😅
the biggest drawback about this phone is the lightning charger
I use a 14 Pro. Excellent device still.
Im here because Im thinking of upgrading with my 13
After two years of use, my 14 pro max is at 83% battery life, I have to charge it at least once in the day too and the new ios18 isn’t helping the battery last either.
from 5 to 6s to XR to a 14 LOLLL
