  • On last Tuesday, 18th December 2018, we celebrated Gita Jayanti! It is the auspicious day on which Sri Krishna revealed the Gita to a despondent Arjuna. Over the many centuries of its existence, many great minds have tried to unravel the message in its 700 verses. Drawing on this rich legacy, in today's video, Dr Jankiji shares the core message of this Divine Song of the Lord.

    1. Jise tum dhoodh rahe ho , jis god ko tum pane ki kosish Kar rahe ho , vo tum khud ho.
    Even after knowing this, I don't understand this because of my own desires.
    Thank you ma'am.

    It's obvious that the greatest truth is everywhere around us right in front of us under our nose.. And we r not aware of it.. I always realise through meditation that everything mentioned in gita coincides with what's the ultimate truth.. Whether it is about infinity, or just doing ur work without expectation of results.. I personally feel its much more powerful than passion or other things..
    Thank you very much ma'am, for clearly explaining what's actually meant by "removing our desires" by focusing on greater things.. 👍👍👌👌👌

    Thank you for the awesome video Janki mam. Please add more videos on Bhagwat Geeta. I have the following 2 questions :
    1. "Tat Tvam Asi": you are the god, so essentially it deals with Advaita philosophy that you taught in one previous video and not the Vshisht Advaita or Dvaita?
    2. At 7:50 Mam you talk about we can't respond to a rude person even if we know how to... What is the desire that is stopping us to do so?

    • @TeamJankiSantoke
      @TeamJankiSantoke  6 років тому +3

      Yes, it's advaita philosophy.
      The desire could be anything- like the desire for his/her good opinion, to not appear foolish or anger at interrupted desire. Any amount of desires or their modifications could be agitating our mind and not letting us think straight.

    Hari Om Janki Ji , C 5 V 25 -Whose sins have been destroyed , whose whose dualities are destroyed ............V 26....freed from desire & anger , who are self controlled .................What is difference between both dis Verses ? Kindly revert.

    • @TeamJankiSantoke
      @TeamJankiSantoke  Рік тому

      All the verses from 20 to 25 refer to the state of renunciation which is necessary before meditation.
      They are all different qualities, or different angles of vision, of that state.

    Ma'am,I really ,really want to learn about our vedanga and rich culture, but I have no idea from where to start because there are so much. Can you please guide me?
    And can I ever get a chance to meet and learn more from you.

    • @TeamJankiSantoke
      @TeamJankiSantoke  6 років тому +1

      If you would like to read a book, Vedanta Treatise is a comprehensive one. It gives the complete knowledge of Vedanta. That is the base of our culture. The book Symbolism of Hindu Gods and rituals shows how that philosophy is inherent in all things we do like rituals, festivals, iconography..
      If you are in Mumbai, most welcome to meet. Please fix a time from the website www.janki.santoke.com

    Hi mam since we all are gods. God is all powerful as per my understanding. Then how come all powerful god come under the control of desires? Then desires should be god instead of us.

    • @TeamJankiSantoke
      @TeamJankiSantoke  4 роки тому

      This interesting philosophical question has no answer. Vedanta answers it by saying that the Self is unaffected by the desires. Any affectation you experience is Maya or mithya, a figment of your imagination.

  • @mr.x1363
    @mr.x1363 4 роки тому

    If we are God but now under the influence of Maya, that means Maya is stronger then God!!!..
    We are not God neither in the past nor in the future. We are only spark of the supreme soul though in quality we r same but in quantity we r infinitesimal.

    • @TeamJankiSantoke
      @TeamJankiSantoke  4 роки тому

      Good question. Vedanta's answer is that the Self is not under the influence of Maya. It never was not ever will be. What we experience is a mere figment of imagination. The Self remains ever unsullied. When we wake up to the Self, we will look at this previous experience merely as as a dream.

    I thought bhakti yoga was heart based, and had to do with wanting to know God through love.
