Incredible. Best on UA-cam. I'm a huge Hendrix fan and Mitch's drumming was the backbone to his music. Heard this one a million times and this sounds perfect to me. Really enjoyable to listen to. Showed this to all my drummer friends and every one of them was like "dude, holy shit!"
Wow thanks so much man, that’s a huge compliment! I’ve tried to put a lot more on here but UA-cam has not been friendly with copyright stuff. My Instagram is willsanford3 and has a lot of similar material. Hoping to put more on here in the future as well
@@willsanford2378 awesome, will definitely follow you on Instagram. UA-cam copyright blocks are BS. I've uploaded covers where I'm exclusively using parts I recorded and still had them blocked. It's ridiculous
Thanks man! I haven’t done as much UA-cam because I’ve done more short clips for Instagram, especially with the bots taking everything down. I really need to add more here! willsanford3 is my Instagram if you wanna catch up on some more recent stuff I’ve been up to
I watched you do this song again today and I am Flabbergasted, You would have made Mitch Mitchell Proud.! You do him total justice.! Again, Thanks for playing this song and on putting on the channel, after 40 years of Drumming I can still learn things too.! ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Get it Will !! wow, Nailing it Man. get it Will. I Loved his tone, the sound of the drums , this rhythm the whol sha-bang Man. Been into Jimi since 1970, AM 65 and a da fellow drummer. Love your playing William and how much 'you're into it",put yourself into the flow ,the groove of this Jimi Hendrix Experience special hit. Sing one Brother, Play on Drummer !! 15 STARS!
I'm amateur guitarist. So close with Mitch Michell work, it's very difficult to cover. Excellent drummer congratulations for the cover. I show to my drummer I hope learn from it.
I agree, Mitch is one of the most difficult drummers to do right! The key I think is to come at it with a slightly jazz approach, but really focus on how all his drum work stems from rudimental variations
Thank you Sam! I’ve been busy with some road work and session stuff lately but it calms down this week, I’m definitely putting more stuff up very soon!
Hey Tony, thanks for the compliment! At 3.22 it’s about ready to fade out and I just did a buzz roll there. Did you mean one of the fills before the solo?
aww thanks man! i think i had a 2002 crash on the right, van halen ride, prototype crash on the left (which sounded like some kind of signature maybe?), and giant beat hats
At this point, probably 22-23 years? And yes, I'd be happy to explain that fill. I believe they are 32nd note paradiddles at that tempo with the right hand singles accented so it would be Rlrr, LRll, or Rlrr, lRll (with the capital letters accented). It's a lick that's actually used a ton on Led Zeppelin I too. In short, just practice slow until you get it clean and then gradually speed it up. Hope this helps!
The cleanest cover
Thank you! That's high praise!
Tempo, Beat, Tone, Fills, Rolls....spot on👌
Nothing here was over done....kudos👍
ASTONISHING!! Mitch was over looked, and under rated. BROZOS!

Holy shit that was awesome. You were absolutely in the pocket. It sounded exactly like Mitch and had also this jazzy feel to it.

The fact, that this cover hasn't blown up is beyond me.

This is really good! Thanks for posting
Nice fill. Love that👍
Nothing exaggerated just lies in that thin slice of perfect! I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between you and Mitch himself.
Excellent performance.
you nailed it 🥁🎼🎵

Excelente..suena bien amigo...sería genial lo expliques por partes o en cámara lenta...... éxitos.
1:25 was a mystery for me to analize . nice work maaaaaaaaaaan
It seems to be “just” a sigle paradiddle. A fast one! 🤩
veramente bravo!
Well the fuck done, sir!
Hi will great drumming spot on! Could you tell us what that fill is at 3.22 is it a paradiddle ?👍
Hey Tony, thanks for the compliment! At 3.22 it’s about ready to fade out and I just did a buzz roll there. Did you mean one of the fills before the solo?
Nice
Sweet. Best one I heard other than Mitch.
Fucking very good played man.
The fill at 1:03 is so sick
🔥
so fucking perfect!
You can play in my band any day!!!!!! ........ and I'm the drummer...... Are the 2 red labels 2000's or 602's?
aww thanks man! i think i had a 2002 crash on the right, van halen ride, prototype crash on the left (which sounded like some kind of signature maybe?), and giant beat hats
For how long have you been playing?
And could you give me some tips on how to do those fast drum fills?
Is it the paradiddles you practice?
At this point, probably 22-23 years? And yes, I'd be happy to explain that fill. I believe they are 32nd note paradiddles at that tempo with the right hand singles accented so it would be Rlrr, LRll, or Rlrr, lRll (with the capital letters accented). @@willsanford2378 okay thanks!
*Fuck yeah this kit also sounds very similar to Bonzo's ludwig one*
