How to Beadboard a Ceiling

So you attach the beadboard to the ceiling with nails. How long are they, and do you need to know where the ceiling joists are? Thanks for this video! Well done!

same question. thought you had to nail it into the joists. looks like he was nailing it anywhere and everywhere. I'm working on this project in next few weeks.

@@cjay233 Yes, find the ceiling joists and mark the walls with painters tape once you find them. You can also measure out their location on the beadboard to be installed with pencil.

Are you shooting the nails for the beadboard into a stud or just into dry wall

I have a plaster ceiling. I don't think I can use a nailgun

lol yea but a typical remodel on a home like this is $30-$40k. So ONLY $9k is cheap in this perspective.
