Kosciuszko NP - Rams head circuit

A long circuit including the Rams Head range and Mt Kosciuszko.
Summer 2021/22 #3 - Charlotte pass - Merritts creek - Thredbo walkway - North Rams head - Rams head - Cootapatamba hut - Twin humps circuit - Back country range top - Mt Kosciuszko - Rawson pass - Merritts creek - Return.
Walking conditions : Tracks, pads and alpine meadows.
Walk length : 28 km.
Notes : A circuit encompassing the higher Rams head range and Mt Kosciuszko, with a visit to the Twin humps.
The Rams head range contains some of the most jagged clumps of granite in the Snowies, and the view south from the highest Rams head sees clearly to the Pilot and Cobberas mountains.
From the Cootapatamba hut, Mt Kosciuszko appears as a set of twin pyramids.
Walking in isolated areas requires extra planning and preparation.
