Omg I’m so happy I discovered your video! I’ve had this printer for about 1.5 years and never considered printing stickers. I love doing postcrossing so I can’t wait to send people stickers of my dog 😂
This was a great video! Exactly the info I was looking for and thank you for making printing so we could see what it looks like. I’m going to buy this printer. 👍🏻😁
Thank you for this review on this printer. I'm looking for a printer for sticker printing too but I need something that can take cardstock as well. So no for this one if you said it jams a bit. Thank you again. And good job! :)
I know this was posted 2 years ago but I have a beginner sticker making question that will hopefully be answered 😅🖤 - how do you get your stickers cut out? Do you cut them out by hand with scissors?
I have a question, great vid! I have envy 6020e and noticed that when I print on PVC glossy vinyl using the other glossy setting, the black ink smudges slightly, even after two days of drying. Have you had a similar issue? Thanks!
This is gonna be a really silly question, but how did you load the sticker paper? Did you put the front of the sticker paper facing up or down? I don't want to mess up :( lol
Thank you so much for your video! It made me choose this one for my shop, I already had a print but it was a laser and no matter the setting it would print lines on my designs... I got this one today and the quality is already much better visually but the ink doesn’t "dry" if I touch the stickers the ink fade away... Also, I printed three papers and my ink is already half empty 😂😅
If you print on glossy paper, the ink will get smudged easily especially if it’s really saturated. The ink doesn’t start out full. The ink that comes with the printer is only a sample amount and not a full cartridge.
Have you tried changing the standard paper setting to photo paper or glossy paper? I had the hp envy 6022 printer and when I changed the setting of the paper type, my ink didn’t smudge anymore on sticker paper!
Hi! once the stickers are printed, do you just cut them out? I wanted each design to have its own outline so that I can peel them off individually, or will I need another machine to do that? I hope my question makes sense lol!
Yes I have a cricut explore air 2 that cuts the stickers for me so you can peel them off. You can also individually cut it but it takes a lot more time and effort and it won’t be as accurate. Hope that helps!
I didn't expect to find exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!! Question: Have you had any luck with any cardstock weights? I was hoping to make some business cards then cut them out.
Just bought this printer for cricut, it will work for right now. I’m not trying to use printable vinyl right now, that will come at a later date and this printer will be handed down to our daughter.
Hey! I've tried to make stickers on glossy paper. I noticed that the black ink does not stick well. If I let it dry for 24 hours, then touch it, I noticed that the black ink sticks to my fingers a bit. When I choose "photo paper" the black ink works fine. But, I prefer the "other glossy paper" option because it produces a more vibrant color but has that blink ink tradeoff I mentioned. Any solutions?
After a year, how do you like this printer?? How does the ink cartridge go?? I am curious about the cartridges after using this printer for stickers heavily.
Hello! Thank you for making this video. Can I ask: Do you ever experience ink bleed for the darker colors when stickers get wet? I'm using the same set up and settings with waterproof sticker paper, but when my stickers get wet, they either get a red halo of ink bleed (when laminated), or the black ink just completely washed off (when not laminated). Thanks again for your video!
Usually the ink is not waterproof (only the paper is). So darker colors do tend to bleed or smudge. But I don’t experience any bleeding with lamination.
Aaaaaa I really want one but I can’t find it anywhere I can only find the 6035 model which looks the same but the retail girl says you can’t print on sticker paper with that
Hi, first off thank you so much for this video! I could not find a sticker maker review for this printer anywhere! Second, I have this printer and have online labels paper and find that no matter what I do when I apply my stickers they smear slightly. I have the glossy, transparent and matte paper for inkjet printers. Do your stickers smear on your paper? I would love to know because I’ve considered returning my printer, but if it’s just the paper I would rather order what you have! Thanks again for the video, it helps a lot!!!
Even the matte one smears? Does the ink come out smeared after you print it out? Or does it smear when you touch it with your fingers after printing it out? I know the glossy one does smear when I touch it with my fingers- especially the black recognition lines for the cricut.
It looks great coming out of the printer and I let it dry for half an hour to an hour before I Cricut it out. It smears (mostly the black, not so much color) when I rub my finger on it when I’m applying it (worse for glossy and horrid for weather proof because color smears too) the smear is not so bad for matte paper, but I don’t know if any level of smear is considered acceptable for selling stickers. (Im not being sarcastic, I just haven’t sold them before and want to) the best description I can think of is when you’re drawing with a pencil and your hand lightly smudges the graphite. The sketch still looks good there’s just a shadow. *the smear even happens days after printing it out*
Hmm that is odd. The matte doesn’t smear at all for me except the dark black lines. The glossy weatherproof and normal will def smudge without a laminate though
Excellent and informative review thank you. I am considering purchasing this model, but I am still a bit skeptical about the life of this model since my last evny only model only lasted a little over a year and a half.
JellyJarCo I started to get a ink error, but when the ink was replaced I found out that it appeared the printer seems to be defective. The issue also was that my 1 year warranty has expired. However, thankfully after speaking with hp they have assisted me in order to provide a good alternative (concerning replacement options) that works for me so I am doing some shopping now, but a little hesitant to purchase another hp printer since the life of my first printer wasn’t the best. However, I may give the brand one more chance you never know. 😀 At any rate thanks again for your review!

Hello there, I know its been a real long time, I had a question for this printer. I currently own a printer like this and I want to print stickers but the option of matte sticker paper doesn't come out. And I noticed you use a different app to print. Was wondering if that is the app needed to print sticker paper both glossy and matte because on my setting neither option comes out.
I'm not sure if you can help me or not girl but here's my question. I got this printer because of this video! I really like it. Recently I got some super glossy waterproof NEATO vinyl labels to print stickers on. The stickers I drew on procreate look super nice on it. But the black ink rubs off on my fingers. It's only the black ink, the color ink is completely fine. I seriously can not find an answer any where to my problem. (I print my stickers through the Cricut design app.)
Umm I'm not sure, I'm on the instant ink subscription and actually haven't paid for ink yet. I got the printer in June and have printed around 100 pages a month and have replaced the color cartridge twice I believe.
What setting do you for vinyl matte sticker. I have hp envy 7255e and I choose specialty matte paper. And my printer will chew up the sides of the vinyl paper 😭 so next I choose auto paper feed and it did not chew the paper, but the colors were not as heavy and vibrant ☹️
Why aren’t my stickers printing?? I am using cricut matte sticker paper, and at first it was only printing half sheet now it’s not printing at all. HELPPP 😢
Looking for a solution to this problem too! I tried every print setting and it still smears and streaks even in high dpi, I don’t know how hers are turning out so well Pastel seems fine but black/dark colors smear even after days :/ same problem?
@@abimirro6570 same problem. I tried printing some artwork on glossy paper, it smeared and had some streaks. Also on matte sticker paper, the ink smudge after having it dried. It’s really disappointing.
Hi, thanks for the great review. I am thinking about buying this printer, but do you know if you can print heavy cardstock (110lb) with this printer without it jamming? I mostly print on heavy cardstock and my current printer keeps jamming
If you see her video... her printer send the paper from down to up .... and that's way will not print the thick paper... you need to buy printer send the paper from up to down.... like epson but epson ink printer not laser ... and if you ask me why the movement of the paper must from the up to down... because the rollers will be jammed and broken.... i guess maybe HP have models from up to down for thick paper like 180 and 200 ..... to 300 GSM
I have this printer and it doesn’t print well. How do I fix that? It always prints lines on my colors, colors are always dull and images are always kinda fuzzy looking. I keep messing with the settings but it still looks bad
You are able to print adhesive printable vinyl for this printer correct? Since it is an ink jet. I want to make stickers as well and a Best Buy employee did say the HP Envy brand would be best to print vinyl.
Hi, I hope you get back to me. I have the same printer and I’m having issues when i print out on photo paper the ink doesn’t dry completely and when i swipe my finger across the paper 2days later the ink is on my fingers, My other issuer is i tried printing my stickers on the sticker papers and i just see streaks , layers of streaks. Do you have any idea how to fix that issue??? Thank you
Thanks! If you look at the video from me “how I make waterproof stickers”, you can see how it looked when I printed it on waterproof transparent/clear paper
I hate mine! At first I loved mine untill I was unable to print for a few weeks cauae of their HPSmart app.but besides that issue. I have that same model and while it will print on cardstock I can't use anything thicker then the basic cardstock.
Hiiii i want to know if you can help me plis, I have the envy 6055e I’m trying to do my sticker but the black ink don’t stay in the paper the ink runs and I don’t know why I already try different paper and is the same
I’m trying to print printable vinyl via the Cricut with this printer and it comes out to where my Cricut can’t read the sensors and it’s not printing the sensor lines dark should I use sticker paper instead ?
Hi I have this exact printer but I’m having issues printing through Cricut design space it’s only allowing me to print from the hpsmart app have you experienced this issue? Is there a setting option don’t know about?
It has actually taken me two days to set this up it's so frustrating. Right now, my issue is that the printer is not recognizing my sticker paper. It keeps saying the tray is empty even with regular paper. I've tried changing the settings to specialty, recycled, etc. and it doesn't work. Any tips?
Some sticker paper are poor quality and curls really easily so it’s hard for the tray to grab it properly when it doesn’t lay flat. I recommend sheetlabels or onlinelabels.
Hey I hope it’s not too late to comment on this video lol! How often does your lines get printed inaccurately? I tried a few HP printers and my lines are not accurate at all. I’ve tried different settings which doesn’t seem to help-.-! I draw with procreate and I use a portrait. Have a good day😊!
@@jellyjarco Example: I draw a flower. I outline the flower with black and fill the petals in with pink. The black line on the petals would be off. It would still be in a shape of a petal, but the outer lines are not accurate as to what I drew. Sometimes the lines would disconnect and other times I get broken edges on my artwork. I hope this clarifies it lol.
Hey! I have the same printer and followed your settings when printing with glossy sticker paper from online labels. The quality is great, however I have an issue with the ink smearing. Does yours do the same? How could I correct this issue?
Can you please tell me which one did you order? It’s my first time buying a printer. I’m not sure if it’s coming with colored ink or which one should I choose for the same quality as yours? Also, does it print black already or I have to buy it separate? 😣
I have a cuestión you’re paper gets stuck I mean jammed? Because I heard when they don’t have a rear tray is more difficult to print thick paper like card stock or some stickers paper!

If you see her video... her printer send the paper from down to up .... and that's way will not print the thick paper... you need to buy printer send the paper from up to down.... like epson but epson ink printer not laser ... and if you ask me why the movement of the paper must from the up to down... because the rollers will be jammed and broken.... i guess maybe HP have models from up to down for thick paper like 180 and 200 ..... to 300 GSM
What setting would you print the cardstock that’s lower than 80lb?
I have this printer and it doesn’t print well. How do I fix that? It always prints lines on my colors, colors are always dull and images are always kinda fuzzy looking. I keep messing with the settings but it still looks bad
You are able to print adhesive printable vinyl for this printer correct? Since it is an ink jet. I want to make stickers as well and a Best Buy employee did say the HP Envy brand would be best to print vinyl.
Yes you can use printable vinyl that is suitable for inkjet printers with this. There is also vinyl for laser printers so just look at the description
Thank you
Great information thank you! Have you tried any clear matte sticker paper with this printer?
Thanks! If you look at the video from me “how I make waterproof stickers”, you can see how it looked when I printed it on waterproof transparent/clear paper
@@jellyjarco great thank you so much!!
Can it use normal print paper too ? Sorry if I’m asking a dumb question 😅
Yup! Of course
What paper setting for cardstock on envy 6055 hp mine don't have heavy paper I just subscribe ❤
Actually I want to know that 5he stickers you printed are ready and you have to just cut them and use right??
Hi - I just bought this printer. Do you use Avery Dark transfer sheets? I'm struggling to find the best print settings 😕
Does this printer offer borderless printing for any graphic file type, and related settings for printing on transfer paper? Thanks! =).
I hate mine! At first I loved mine untill I was unable to print for a few weeks cauae of their HPSmart app.but besides that issue. I have that same model and while it will print on cardstock I can't use anything thicker then the basic cardstock.
just got this printer and my black ink rubs off when using the glossy paper...what would you suggest?
Hiiii i want to know if you can help me plis, I have the envy 6055e I’m trying to do my sticker but the black ink don’t stay in the paper the ink runs and I don’t know why I already try different paper and is the same
How do you change the paper setting using this printer and an iPad with AirPrint. I’m using Cricut vinyl printable.
I’m trying to print printable vinyl via the Cricut with this printer and it comes out to where my Cricut can’t read the sensors and it’s not printing the sensor lines dark should I use sticker paper instead ?
Do you know why my printer wouldn’t be printing in color? And when I go to print I don’t have the option to print in color?
Hi I have this exact printer but I’m having issues printing through Cricut design space it’s only allowing me to print from the hpsmart app have you experienced this issue? Is there a setting option don’t know about?
It has actually taken me two days to set this up it's so frustrating. Right now, my issue is that the printer is not recognizing my sticker paper. It keeps saying the tray is empty even with regular paper. I've tried changing the settings to specialty, recycled, etc. and it doesn't work. Any tips?
Does it work now?
Some sticker paper are poor quality and curls really easily so it’s hard for the tray to grab it properly when it doesn’t lay flat. I recommend sheetlabels or onlinelabels.
I just bout this but I do not know why it is printing lines on my pictures 🥺
Try opening the app and selecting clean cartridges. And make sure u print on best quality
What do you mean by your lines print inaccurately?
@@jellyjarco Example: I draw a flower. I outline the flower with black and fill the petals in with pink. The black line on the petals would be off. It would still be in a shape of a petal, but the outer lines are not accurate as to what I drew. Sometimes the lines would disconnect and other times I get broken edges on my artwork.
I hope this clarifies it lol.
Oh that is really odd. I’ve never had a problem with any designs or outlines.
Great video, thx for sharing
IM SOLD. Thank you so much hun, I really appreciate it!
So you put glossy side up or down
Hey! I have the same printer and followed your settings when printing with glossy sticker paper from online labels. The quality is great, however I have an issue with the ink smearing. Does yours do the same? How could I correct this issue?
Ink on glossy paper does tend to smear so I put a self laminating sheet over it to seal it
@@jellyjarco okay cool thanks! ^.^
@@jellyjarco can you make a video song this process, btw thank you, your video has been really helpful. Will be buying this printer
Doing*
Hiiii have you tried printing using your iPad? My ipad automatically goes to greyscale 😢
Please I want to buy this printer...what are the accessories needed for printing stickers with this printer
Can you please tell me which one did you order? It’s my first time buying a printer. I’m not sure if it’s coming with colored ink or which one should I choose for the same quality as yours? Also, does it print black already or I have to buy it separate? 😣
My printer is the hp envy 6055. It comes with a sample cartridge of color and black ink. But when you run out, you will have to buy both separately
@@jellyjarco thank you so much for the explanation 💖
ma’am please tell me how many pages can you print per ink cartridges please
i have this printer and when i printed out a photo onto sticker paper it printed half the picture on the top of the paper. WTH
I have a cuestión you’re paper gets stuck I mean jammed? Because I heard when they don’t have a rear tray is more difficult to print thick paper like card stock or some stickers paper!
I’ve only had paper get stuck if the paper is prone to curling a lot. But I haven’t had any issues with my current papers and cardstock
hey do you have to reload for double side print or does it do it on its own?
this is a good review
Can I use hp ink tank 315 for stickers?
Hello! What type of ink did you use for the stickers? Ty!
Do you still use this printer in your shop? Thinking about selling stickers for fun :)
I'm confused about the ink cartridge whick to buy
Can we use 65lb cardstock?
