Congrats on the moves to kindergarten. I love to see all the growth kindergartners make they come in, knowing very little about school and they leave with so many skills. It’s evident that you have put much thought and preparation into your plans and I get the bathroom out of the way pretty quickly as sometimes, their nerves on the first day of school make them more likely to need to go!
The good news is that you've previously taught kinder before and you know how challenging it is! But after the first few weeks, it gets so much better! You see more growth in kinder than any other grade which is wonderful :) Totally agree with you about the doorbell...not a fan...I do that same thing with a regular bell and it's loud!
I, too, am going back to K5. I have taught 3rd for the past 6 yrs. I am excited and nervous at the same time, but I am eagerly awaiting to see how things turn out.
I completely agree about using Century Gothic font. Not pretty, not fancy, but less confusing for kids who are learning letter formation. I use it almost exclusively!
The points to the font used make so much sense. I like the font Comfortaa, it seems a little more rounded than Century Gothic maybe, but I am also going to be in middle and higher classes, so I think it should be acceptable.
@@MissLifestyle True. I am even thinking about which way I am going to write on the whiteboard/blackboard etc. I have a more fancier/pretty way that is sorta cursive and also a more normal one.
@@theteachingromance When you said you will be in middle and higher, do you mean middle school? Or higher elementary? I think you can use whatever you prefer in middle school!
@@MissLifestyle I guess one can say both middle and high school. I am in Germany, I may teach 5th till 12th/13th grade. I guess. Looking back though, I feel like one could draw a line between the way a teacher wrote and their subjects they taught (languages and sciences are looked very different)

I think I’m going to move my bathroom procedure up to earlier in the day for that reason too! Thank you!!! 🫶🏼
I admire you for doing grad school and working full time as well! 💖
Thank you! 🫶🏼 it’s certainly been… interesting😂

It’s been a while but I think I will remember very quickly how hard it is😂😂 I am so excited though! Can’t wait to start setting up!
Bless your heart cause I could NEVER do Kinder or primary for that matter. You have my ultimate respect lol. 🫶
Hahaha and I could never do upper elementary 🤣 The respect is mutual💕
Laminate your name tags BEFORE writing names. Use sharpie, but if someone doesn’t come, dry erase marker over the sharpie can take it off❤️❤️
Smart idea!!! Thank you! 💕

We are in this together! Keep me updated on your journey! 🫶🏼

Exactly!! 😀
Happy birthday 🎉❤ didn’t know you were a July baby. Mine is today 7-11 🎉
Ahh! Wishing you the happiest birthday!!! Mine is the 14th! 💕💕

I just looked Comfortaa up, it is pretty similar! Yes, for sure! I think it’s ideal for primary grades and good for exposure. 💕

@@theteachingromance Ahh! Interesting! That’s different from the U.S. I definitely see what you mean about the different subjects!
I would do bathroom expectations earlier because of the bus riders. Some of these kids are on the bus for up to an hour.
Good point! Thanks!
