- In this video, we're going to tackle about what makes a mindustry noob... a noob. Find out what Mindustry is all about and improve with this Mindustry Guide I've prepared for you guys!
Hello, this is Zenith. An arrow pointing upwards - development. I've made this channel to post things that could help improve gaming players. I'm not here to go all out in my first videos, but expect for my videos to be better in the coming months!
About Mindustry:
Mindustry is a real-time strategy (RTS) and tower defense game developed and published by Anuke (the cat). It was initially released in 2017 and is available on various platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.
The game combines elements of tower defense and resource management, challenging players to build and defend their factories from waves of attacking enemies. Overall, Mindustry offers a unique blend of resource management, tower defense, and strategic gameplay. Its accessible yet challenging mechanics, combined with regular updates and a supportive community, have contributed to its positive reception among players who enjoy the RTS and tower defense genres.

i wouldnt consider the lack of advanced schematics noob. for some people the ability to just pop out some highly engineered structures is just boring and not challenging. but in all other cases i can agree. sometimes people do so much stupid stuff in game that i like to play alone in campaign than play with some guys blowing up thorium reactors near the core almost every game because of lack of the titanium to produce cryo fluid.
There's also a thing that you CAN NOT PAUSE,and in this case quick decision making will actually allow you to get stuff faster and advance faster
meanwhile schematics removing that out of equation:
i don't like to make schematics either for the same reason i just have two schematics that are for the cryo fluid you need for a T4 or/and T5 (i have a schematic with enough cryo fluid for T4 units and the second schematic makes enough cryo for both T4 AND T5 units the one that makes enough for T4 just in case i don't want to make a T5)
to be fair though another point is to use the schems well
ie dark sand schems on dark sand, not white sand
and attem logic
etc
Absolutely agree with all sides here, there are some pros and cons with using schematics but overall those designs help new players in progressing faster in the game. True pros (and some mindustry v3 players) play in no schematic maps

my early sectors look like vomit (plastanium walls) and spaghetti (ducts, pumps and power nodes) and its still efficient

gotta say i always do math to calculate the most efficient way for something in mindustry to a point that one day i even made a "conveyor" tier list based on how much they can move (it wasn't only conveyors it was everything that was able to move items) at the end i think just the surge conveyors with energy were the best ones

@@Hikiran1121 (im too lazy to look at the actual ratios and speed for ingame stuff so ill just use variables)
Lets say that a Machine A, requires an input of 2x and 3y /s, and outputs 2z /s. A full conveyor belt carries 6 of anything per second, so you will need 3 of Machine A to get a full belt of material z. But, let say to get material x you need to use Machine B, which only makes 0.75x /s (i'll ignore the inputs for this), now because we want proper ratios, 0.75x /s does not fit nicely into 2x /s. So we'll need to look for the Smallest Common Denominator of 2 and 0.75, which is 6. After all of that we see that to get the best ratios we will need: 4 Machine B, to make 6x /s for 3 of Machine A, which produces 2z /s that will be carried by 1 conveyor belt. Hopefully this explains it

I just don't feel like building dense boxes of factories that take 2 minutes just to figure out which router variant to use for a single segment, or downloading schematics of said boxes and pasting them everywhere
TL;DR: Sprawl is actually fun lmao
There is SO MUCH to learn about in this game, if it were thought at a school you'd need 6 semesters to get good,
6 more to excell at PvP and then
another 6 semesters to gain your PhD of Mindustrialisation.
people in pvp server ignores economy so much that sometimes i have to carry the entire economy
let's go, a guide on how to suck less at mindustry, i don't really need it but thank you for making this
Also playing in cooperative is another experience. You have to really communicate with your teammate to play efficiently.
For example me and my brother start playing sector, and we are doing different things, but most of the time when i finish my part (mostly defense) i almost always go to where this little fuker was and replace combustion generators with steam gens.
And playing attack also fun in coop. He gets air units, i ground and in two squads attacking is much easier
I liked it when he said I'm an intelligent being.
I don't care what others say but maximizing resource output is for those who don't care about fun and care about winning. I like fun, thats why all my campaign sectors are working spaghetti
idk i just throw up drills, walls, ducts, pumps, units and if it works, it works

This is exactly why I suggest that newer players should NOT use any schematics that they didn't create for themselves (especially not in campaigns, where you don't need to be hyper-optimized), and it's the same reason why it's so easy for griefers online to bring bases to a halt. All the efficiency in the world is useless when nobody in the game can fix problems when they arise.
i never used a schematic and i don't even know how to use a schematic. +100 hours on mindustry and the only thing i know is: haha, weapon go boom

My buildings are so unorganized that i couldn't even enderstand it😅 (especially the transport)
I see people making big massive silicone machines that take too much power to the point that we were on lockdown trying to make more power

I once saw a person use 3 routers then 1 sorter for the standard graphite setup,when i fixed it by putting in an underflow gate and some conveyors,then they still replaced it with the 3 routers,they deadass said the 3 routers are better then told me to stop grief.I just said that wasn't greifing then just left.Noob's egos are high lmao
it is lol, they really love the routers to the point its annoying, like routers are inferior when it comes to output and input when compared to overflow/underflow.
@@Hikiran1121 i used to router chain but i figured out backflow is a thing so not anymore
@@LamNguyen-xb8rf you can try router chain with overflow, though their is a limit on how many chain you can make since too much will still result in backflow and i just didn't care about it lol.
I only recommend this only in early game when you only unlock "low tier" turrets

In my opinion, just make mono and poli factory as soon as you land(in campaign), and then do whatever you want. 8 sili smelters are perfectly reasonable, if you don't need that much silicon and I dont really understand sili crucibles as a whole... unless ur in multiplayer... Then by all means, go ahead. I just don't like that the big sili factory needs pyratite. I usually use the big graphite and direct the saved coal to sili

I never made a schematic beacuse i dont understand the game enough yet to even know what the most efficient way to produce things is and i dont use stole schematics for the same reason, if i dont understand it then i wont be able to make it work properly

- Immediately drop a T5 reconstructor when we didn't even make Surge and Phase fabric yet
- Complains about no resources
- Input T5 with spaghetti conveyors and 2 cryo mixer
- Once finished and made an Omura, realizing T5 reconstructor isn't connected to water
- Placing payload conveyors to try to move Omura out
- Starts vote kicking me and claims me a griefer when I remove their awful builds

It is TTS. But also, I’d have to argue otherwise. I think TTS is fine as long as it isn’t used in a low effort manner. This here, for example, is being used in a high effort manner. Or, in other words, he is using TTS in a video that I can consider to be high effort.
I'm not saying its bad, its understandable if one doesn't want to use their own voice if not comfortable. Its just annoying as I said So we cool? @@bndlett8752

@@theeraphatsunthornwit6266 I recommend using advance lighting, and a shader mod named "Shaders-DaNtesLr". You can find these mods in the mod browser in game. You should also disable bloom in the game's graphics settings because advance lighting mod will look weird with it, and turn on linear filtering
