Feel the same but on the other hand he might have doubled with the aq hand. Think he would have played that hand (if not on the bubble while people had a piece of the action). This would have set him more comfortable for the streak of bad hands he had afterwards.
Used to play split/short deck from 7 to Ace (2,3,4,5,6 removed from deck) draw poker when I was a teenager back in Dublin Ireland. 4 players limit, 32 cards so just enough if everyone asks for 3 cards. Had a lot of fun. Hard to adjust back to full deck 7 card stud that we also played
I love listening and watching these old streams while I work and laugh how people are telling Daniel how to play when he has nearly 50 million in tourney winnings and more logged hands then most the people combined in the chat 😂

Can anyone explain the reasoning behind only using one stack at a time and not 2 or all 3 at once? Especially when it's near the end of late reg and 1 stack is only like 13 bigs?
@@hellerjet8630 I would think you want a bigger stack to get more chips with your all ins but I'm assuming this is wrong because these players are on a much higher level of play then I am I just play $40-$100 tourneys.
hey my big time fav, any advice to play against fishers :) , i feel i often gets called by some random hands and drawn dead even before the tournement realy starts
I honestly dont know if the QT high call was winning or not because u didnt consider that yes he has draws but when u check river u also lose to some of his bluffs like k9 hearts which might check back but not always and turning jx into bluff to fold out kk etc and unless you know the opponent wont bluff KQ hearts etc then in my opinion which isnt that great i admit but i think when u lose to bluffs even its a fold when u also take into consider he has 8888 AJ and other Ax small kicker, dont think it can be winning call for 3/4 pot, would like to know experts opinions, because expert i am not at short deck that is, even 8x bets river IP after u check although dont know what 8x wants to get called by but if u hero QT high then 8x is a value bet IP after aggressor checks, i suppose its all player dependant???? Could someone please correct the errors in my analysis, thanks guys and have a lovely day
At 30.40 its bad ship against the PFR with top 2 when 6 pairs because he is behind to your range too many hands beat him that why your call is prob winning because he shouldnt be shoving JT now so knowing that population dont ship top two and he dont have many 6x or boats so he just has way more bluff combos than value, so it has to be a call, he obv domt understand the game
@Daniel Negreanu - Hey Daniel, I've noticed during several hands when you have the nuts on the flop that you bet when first to act. The pre-flop pots I've seen are pretty small to. I'm interested in that reasoning as opposed to checking, and letting the other player/s bet. Every hand that I've seen you bet into the nuts, the other person has folded. If you have the nuts, wouldn't it make more sense to check and let them bet or at least bluff? Seem like you could get paid off a little more. I feel like a noob poker player, and I'm still learning more modern game theory after being away from the game for 10 years. Appreciate your streams and listening to your thought process as you play! 🤜🤛
im no pro but im pretty sure this is the case because if he checked it everytime he had the nuts he would be easy to read, and not always the opponent will have a hand thats bluff worthy, hes doing it to mask his weak hands and his strong hands so that its harder to tell if he has it or not, that way if he bets on the flop he could be doing it with shit or with the nuts, so if the opponent has decent equity he will call a lot more, players rarely fold flop now unless they have absolutely nothing
it seems like you still have the exact same chances of hitting a flush. for instance if you need the river to be a certain suit, you still have a 1 in 4 chance of that even though thre are less of each suit
The ratios change because while the number of cards in the deck shrinks the number of cards in a complete hand, whole cards, and community cards remain the same
@@jbachman01 youre righr but still the difference between 16% and 19% (which of course just one example of how ha flush hand can play out) isnt big enough in my opinion to warrant daniels attitude here of "a flush is basically never gonna happen so dont worry about it". but obviously he is more likely correct than i am
@@OGRE_HATES_NERDS I don’t think it changes either of the numbers I found earlier. If you have four known cards and need one more for the flush I don’t think it matters if you have one in your hand and three on the board or two in your hand and two on the board.
At the start you were talking about the size of peoples decks, its only how you use your deck that counts, i thought you were playing poker not comparing dcks anyway?
Waste of time if you don't have a huge bankroll and something tangible to fall back on, even pro sports players have degrees etc to fall back on. I'd imagine 99 percent people trying to play poker don't and waste valuable time to educate themselves. Good luck watching how other people live lol
Daniel, great video! Thank you so much. I have been following your game on and off for 20 years.

57:00. Dan woulda killed 2 hands in a row with straight,s. 97 s. Even look pretty with this format.
@3:13:00 how does the Ace count as a wild card??? I've never heard of this.
its not a wild, A in shord deck play(6to A cards only) counts as a 5 and an Ace, also flush is stronger then full house in this format
I thought you played a little timid on the bubble.
The water part made me laugh

What a shit game. Plus, even if you make the money , you don’t even double your entry. And if you had two bullets, you lose money.
I don’t believe your less likely to get a flush . Your just more likely to get a full house . And thats why a flush beats full… right?
