    Just finished watching all 6.5 hours of Daniel doing what he does best. One thing I have remembered from my Dad who taught me to play poker. Poker is one of those games, where you can do NOTHING wrong, and still lose, that's why they call it "Gambling".

      He reacts 10x worse than I do to bad luck, and I feel I'm worse at that than the average good player that learned how to play poker online. He even gets super pissed when he misses draws. It's kind of amazing.
      You can tell he learned to play live though. You get so many more beats online because you're playing so many more hands and usually multitabling, which obviously multiplies the number of bad things that will happen to you in each hour by each table.
      Also I'd think even he would agree that he's had more luck in his poker career than the average player. I think he's more use to things going his way than most people are.

We all know that, but can see with your example, the 'style' you play, and the aggression that influences the 'luck' :)
    Bravo! You *Always* show that skill in going further in the game than most 'good' players do...and when you don't; you're still an icon of what 'Good Player' means, in all aspects of the game. Keep the humor going with the grind...:)

    I’d hook up two monitors for sure because switching back and forth would drive me nuts. I’d always be thinking the what if or what am I missing or having to toggle while playing two hands. I remember being dragged back to a table when it was my turn to act weather I wanted to or not. Anyway, having two monitors to drag icons or table tops between them is awesome.

    Excellent plays by Daniel...Excellent comments on the game... His only mistakes are often giving his opponents too much credit, and his willingness to assume that his opponents are thinking on some sophisticated level. Why? Because Daniel looks at their results, and assumes that they must be excellent players, when in reality at least some of them got there by pure chance. Daniel tends to forget this is not a Chess tournament...

    Can you go into a bit more detail on that KK hand late? As I was watching it I was thinking “3 bet to 7bb” while you were saying you can only jam. Though you mostly just get the same folds the jam produces, I feel like you give your opponent the opportunity to spaz out and go all in with their AQ and AJs hands that they could be opening there.

    • @Charlton2010
      @Charlton2010 3 роки тому

      But by 3 betting to 7bb when starting with a 20bb stack just gives his hand away totally, the guy would know he is super strong where as with the re shove not so much, A K, A Q, 10s and up so your more likely to get a call

    • @bobsamson6557

      @@Charlton2010 on the other hand it provides the opportunity to 3 bet light without jamming. Could 3 bet AJ or A5s and fold to the jam if that’s what you face. • @elyastoohey6621
      @elyastoohey6621 3 роки тому

      I respectfully disagree.
      If you look at his online stats he isn’t competitive. He does of course play high stakes tournaments. Eg over $500 buy in. His skills are mid stakes though.
      And he wouldn’t cut it in regular $5000+ buy ins.
      He’s still a good live player though. But against many of the young regulars. He’s lagging behind.
      What I appreciate him a lot for though. Excellent ambassador for the game.
      And an excellent entry point for someone wanting to learn the game, as you get the camaraderie of Daniel keeping up as you learn.
      If you like the educative experience with a stream, I’d watch Bencb. He applies his own strategy he teaches. Quite a profitable high stakes and very high stakes player. Putting in $100,000+ per session in buy ins, and getting a decent ROI, especially as an ROI of 20% at those stakes is 20k per session.

      @@Charlton2010 are YOU joking?? Run some #s before u ask me that. Am I saying suited connectors are bad hands? No.
      Am I saying that, in a game of odds, I'd rather take the hand that's statistically a favorite over the hand that's not? Yes.
      Can't believe I'm still explaining this. Any other pros out there want to chime in

    anyone else here really enjoy the GG Poker tournament experience? You know, with the special twist of the late registration ending, and then the bots boost eachother up with chips, then go and start giving action to the player, which is also given a killer hand like KK, to lose no matter what happens, but the bot is only squeezing you for as much as it can, and has the nuts?
    It's such fun. I love how it's made me go from 1st place in the tournament to out like 40 times, all these traps they set for you. ..when I figured out that 99% of players in the tourneys are actually just bots, with recognizeable patterns to their actions... hmm. yeah. not just a scam. simply straight up a theft. ...and by that I mean, the money I deposited was a straight theft. ...and the 25 large or so they ripped from me in prize money is pretty thefty too.
    I mean... they say gg is rigged or a scam... well, it's both. and worse. ..so... I saw a player yesterday buy into a table with 4 bots on it for 250 bucks. two seconds later he was gone. he must be happy he let gg bots steal his shit like that. the whole experience of getting all-in trap raped in 1 second must have been worth it for that price. Pro tip; don't give them a dime. They are nothing but dishonest, and will do nothing but screw you on the cards. Well. You might win a little. But come late reg end.. the remaining humans are getting culled by collaborating bot programs that will create situations with pre-designed hands to fool you into taking the bait and lose. And if you don't take the bait, well... they're gonna do their damn best to keep you from getting a monetary price worth a damn. Them bots need to eat too, I guess.
