If you compare this type of style with something like Cowboy Beebop, Sailor Moon, Evangellion, etc, you'll see the characteristics I listed. If instead you compare it with newer gen animes like Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, etc, you'll see how in general everything is much smoother like the artstyle and framerate. The first part shows how the corporate and stuff is exhausting and suffocating, the second part is her being focused while performing, almost dreaming to an extent, while the last part shows how clear-minded and refreshed she feels after singing.
I'm far from a creative artist, but I had a hunch the aspect ratio change was an artistic choice to convey perspective. It's one of those things you "feel" rather than just judge off of the art.

I remember some content creators said that Astra and her bodyguard's dressing art styles are very different from the usual agents we play since Astra deal a lot with upper class. Miyabi may be from a prestigious family clan but her father lives a modest style that separated from the upper class and spend more time with the commoners.
Man, her Cantonese singing makes me feel like I'm watching those nostalgic Hong Kong music videos. It's once in a blue moon seeing a person singing Cantonese in gacha game, this is a miracle.
a dreamy, joyous waltz wonderfully executed. i don't normally listen to chinese vocals but this was wonderfully done. "Wonderland Reverie" is truly a fitting title for such a lovely piece.

It’s so cool how ZZZ manages to channel the ‘80s so heavily in the game. This art style looks like 80’s anime and the recent Astra web event really had that U.S. 80’s pop aesthetic, and most of the technology and even fashion in New Eridu have that vibe too, it’s not all strictly 80’s but certainly very retro. It’s such a vibe and I’m here for it!
