Great video! I too struggle with the desire for certainty. One thing that has helped me is to ask "what's the worst thing that could happen if i try this new thing? Can i handle that?" Most of the time, the worst thing is fairly trivial, and saying it out loud sort of brings it down to size. (Things tend to get much bigger and scarier in my head!) "Can I handle that?" is the final clincher, because most of the time, the answer is yes, of course I can. Oh and #5 was a game changer for me too. Learning to be prepared has saved me soooo much stress! I wish I'd learned it before i was in my 50s 🤪 Also, #20... Yesssss! My elderly parents moved in with us last year, and I feel so judged if I not "doing something productive." To be fair, THEY have never said anything like that. It's all me. But it's exhausting!
I'm getting more connected to my non-religious spirituality and would be really interested in your thoughts on that side of things (esp because you're not like, a Spirituality Content Creator, it's just a part of your life). And as someone with ADHD! (I don't think sticking to a single spiritual discipline is the right approach for us, even though people push that idea so much)
girlie, i love your content and your aesthetic, it's all very authentic and enjoyable, but pretty please think about investing in a green piece of cloth behind you so that we can focus better on your words and visuals, bc they are actually GOLD and currently overshadowed by the blinking mic and hair 🥹 loved this episode as always, so many good points all around 💛
Didn't she say that she was trying to just get the information to us rather than worrying so much about how the video looks? If blinking mic and hair means we get a video out more than every three months, that's worth it, right? It is to me
@mckinleaf i just feel like getting a green bedsheet or something would be so easy though. it doesn't have to be an expensive green screen for it to work better than the AI background remover
This list is so relatable to me. Ins and outs are so much more fun than resolutions, too. Great video. Keep going!
