I had the Ms. Pac-Man one (the first edition that lacked the option to erase high scores), and all 5 games on it had their audio pitched differently from their arcade originals. Ms. Pac-Man being a half-semitone deeper, Mappy a half-semitone higher, Galaga and Pole Position a full semitone higher, and Xevious an entire octave deeper. Still played great, though.

Older than you, 1998, grew up with the Ps1, Gameboy Color, N64, Ps2, GameCube, Gameboy Advance, and the Wii. My first console would have to be... either the Ps1 or N64, hard to remember since it was such a long time ago, and essentially had 3 (N64,Ps1, & GBC) of the listed consoles at a very early age, which were owned by my older brothers at the time, but still had them around growing up. Eventually the GameCube and Ps2 came around, and afterwards the Wii. Also had a DS lite, but it was never a favorite of mine, just a console I had around later on around the age of 10-12. Sadly, I don't have most of these consoles, save for 3, the Ps2, Wii & DS. The older ones like the GameCube, N64, and Ps1, all died from overheating lol. As for the GBA, well it was just forgotten about since eventually we had the DS to play the exact games on, which it was convenient, and displayed the GBA games far better than the GBA itself. As for the GBC, it "died" long before the GBA. (It was the early 2000s and I got impatient to have a turn to play it and threw it down the stairs. Could still be played, but couldn't save any games 😐)
I actually still have a more "modern" tv that has back outlets for the colored plugs. Also I bought the exact same namco plug n play YEARS ago around 2009- 2012, twice at a Flea Market, on separate occasions between these years. Wasn't my first gaming console, but I still loved the system. I loved playing pacman, but this was the first time I was introduced to Bosconian! Loved it! I broke both of them sadly, years ago lol. Wrapped the wires around the joystick and that damaged the wires internally. I still have 1 of them, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get it fixed, throw it away, or still keep it around for nostalgia's sake.
My first game system was a miss pacman plugin play by jacks pacific and after that I got that pacman plugin play with new rally x witch was my first first two games systems!
You didn't need to shoot the spheres of the space ships. I remember that you could destroy the green ships by shooting the red orb in the center of the ships.
My first system was a ps2, it was very old and needed memory cards instead of proper save slots, and since all the games crashed after a while we threw it out, we had an xbox 360 as well but that got thrown away because it had the red ring of death

Brah im one of the few people out here who can say this was one of my first systems was 100 games in 1 system aka those bootleg games with a bunch of classic games you would find at the mall i know it was either that or the psp i got first might have been the psp first either way i had a lot of fun with the classics and i have played this specific plug in play and it's great bosconian, digdug, galaga,mappy, and pacman were there best games without a doubt.
I almost got one of those bootleg systems! I had only $30 and had the choice between a bootleg Power Joy "1,000,000 in 1" or a purple GameCube. Glad I went with the right choice.
@@Demeech Crap man always wanted a GameCube by the time i started getting into gaming though the wii was the console at the time played a little bit of the gamecube with my cousins f zero Pac man and other games metal of honor was where it's at but still though im thankful i got to play the wii games though

well should iPhones count? well if so then my mom’s iPhone 4 was my first device for me to play videogames my very first game was Angry Birds in 2011 i love Angry Birds and Roblox too i started that back in 2016 my love for Angry Birds quickly got killed in 2018 because im starting to love Nintendo and nowadays im being a fanboy and enjoying Mario and Zelda now i started Nintendo when i was 11

There was a Dig Dug reimagining for the DS. And it featured Mr. Driller as a playable character because he's cannonly the son of the Dig Dug man

i did get into the GameCube N64 Wii 3DS DS GBA SNES NES Wii Uand GBC later on in life thanks to emulation the games was way better than the Switch
