Great video! This randomly popped up on my homepage lol IIRC, the reason why the background for VCS Pac-Man is blue is because Atari only allowed space styled games to have black backgrounds. Pretty stupid rule
There's a cool thing you can do, if you move Pac-Man up in the escape route and switch down in the correct spot and emerge at the top, you can move him vertically through the walls. It might take a few dozen tries to get it right.

Theres an unofficial version of Pac Man for the 2600 that is very close to the arcade version. Even the sound is almost identical.
