It's really sad that Craig is so unknown compared to other talk show hosts. He didn't even get that much of a goodbye from others. One of the best in the business.
+BandagedThumbs Corden has managed to be quite popular in a short time whereas Craig Ferguson kinda flew under the radar. Kinda stumped as to why that's happened.
+astroception Because Corden has a UA-cam channel and he's trying to make as many viral videos as possible, just like every other Late Night host with a UA-cam channel.
+astroception craig ferguson wasnt hip and barely used celebrities in his sketches and didnt create any (stupid) games. he was 1 of my favourite latenight host and just didnt give a fuck and that's why so many people loved him.
I'm not ashamed to admit it, Craig's show has really helped me through some rough times. I discovered him while I was dealing with some shit, about a year before he went off the air, and I couldn't get enough. Binged through everything I could lay my eyes on and watched religiously since. It's not just his silly jokes, improvisation, unparalleled wit and charisma, or ability to have a meaningful and entertaining conversation with the most boring of guests. There was something about him and his show... that just filled me with hope time and time again, when I most needed it. I really miss him.
Look out there's a monster coming. ua-cam.com/video/iKIJ9ekfAZY/v-deo.html Keep Banging On Your Drum - Craig Ferguson ua-cam.com/video/iGdzxDsOgYs/v-deo.html
They replaced Craig with James Corden, who is not nearly as funny or brilliant. Corden has an insincerity about him, similar to Fallon's forced laughter. Craig is a natural. I don't know why CBS invested so much more $$ into Corden's show. Craig didn't have the huge live audience, the live band, etc etc. Yet he still managed to be more interesting (and of course sexier).
+Gemma Pettersen We all listened to the video you fucking moron. Why do idiots like you feel a need to fish for fake internet points by quoting the fucking dialogue of a video? Shut the fuck up.
What I really love in this interview is that the two of them have such balance. Craig is more of a unscriptedly, really rioty kind of funny while Colbert is more of the reserved but smart funny. I like it.
If you liked this you should watch some of the many thousands of clips on youtube of the late late show. His monologue was the best in late night ever, even better than johnny carson in my opinion. And every interview was unscripted! I tried watching his replacement after he retired...but every time i'd just end up watching old ferguson late late show youtube clips instead. Try it, you wont be sorry!
I miss that guy. Funny thing is, he was criticized for having his fans mostly on youtube, only for youtube to be now one big metric to measure how actually popular a tv personality is. life is a journey.
He must be hell to interview haha, he just takes over. I expected Geoff Peterson to pop up with his german accent as well that's how hard Ferguson was leading the Interview haha. Beste Late night host of our era right there, he was far far superior to everyone else on right now
I think he's a savvy performer. Watch his Seth Meyers interview and you'll see a completely different Craig. Much lower key. I think he came in amped because he knows Colbert is a high--energy, very interupt-y sort of interview with a big studio audience. Love him.
+MetrazolElectricity Colbert is not used to not being the funniest person in the room. I'm a die-hard Colbert fan for 10 years. I wonder if it's because Colbert is used to being the one who is the anti-establishment guest who "doesn't care" , but now he has an establishment role.
+Mr. Tulip ... Craig does take over interviews (with ease), and will say anything that may pop into his head during an interview. Difficult for anyone to keep up with. Colbert knew it... and did the best he could with it. He knows how quick Craig is!.... Interesting that Craig said he'd never have left if the F bomb was permitted on The Late Show. Hmmm... possibly the main reason Colbert and Craig weren't sitting in opposite seats during this interview! ( Bet CBS are kicking themselves now!)
The Late Late Show will always be my favourite late night show. Whereas other late shows are hit and miss night to night, I could always rely on Craig and Geoff to make me laugh out loud at some point in every show. You don't know what you got til its gone :(
7:24 was two late show hosts brilliance. Both of them were having a good time and immediately realized there was going be a lull afterwards but they looked at each other and knew exactly where to pick back up. Fucking amazing.

Got one, he's got a daily live two hour show coming on SiriusXM February 27th! They might also distribute it as a podcast or stream it with video, too early to tell, but it's everything his Late Late Show was, interviews, skits, and Craig's honesty... but live. And uncensored. Stephen treats him with so much respect, and I can see Craig replies very well to that. They might not be real buddies but they respect each other. I love it! #dontyoumissCraig?
It's interesting to watch clips of Craig on other talk shows, because lately I've been on a big The Late Late Show binge and it shows how special, how out there him and his show really were. Also it's cool to see the differences in the direction, the camera work and so forth. A huge shame that he quit, but what're you gonna do? But I will also say that Colbert is one of the good guys - he is awesome and I hope all the best to him, but I also hope that he will (get to) shape the Late Show in his own image even more in the future.
I miss Craig in late night. He was the best. He could carry that whole show alone for an hour each night. No band. No sidekick. No script. And he was absolutely hilarious. But he could do a straight, journalistic interview as well. I haven't watched late night television regularly since he left.
Craig was brilliant, honest, intelligent and funny. He was a natural host, always making his guests feel welcome. You were always laughing with him even when he wasn't funny. King of late night. Should have had a bigger budget for the show. Who else could have made a show with robot skeleton as a side. Too many fake talk shows hosts out there. Craig was the real deal.
You're looking at the magical duo right here folks. Craig should still rule the Late Late Show and Colbert should be, well, here. God I miss Craig..... guess I have to go watch some clips of him smooth talking the ladies. I do want to see his new show though. Should be awesome.
+Bobgrey You know he's been hosting a game show since not long after leaving TLLS, right? "The Celebrity Name Game." Craig actually just won a Daytime Emmy for it. I'd thought it'd been cancelled when I learned about this new show, but apparently, Craig is under contract to host through 2017. It's definitely watchable if you don't hate game shows, but it's practically the complete opposite format than a late night talk show so it's definitely not satisfactory for long-time Craig and TLLS fans.
Felt like it was switching between late late show with craig and late show with colbert xD When craig started talking to the audience you get that old sense of how he broke down the formula and they were 'not like any other talk show'.
Fun fact: Craig Ferguson was and is a better Late Night talk show host than anybody on US-TV right now. BTW: Many of the old LLS episodes are on YT. Just search for Fergusion and long videos.

Craig is one of the funniest people ever, and an impressive improviser. Very few comedians can actually make jokes on the fly, he can. Russell Brand too. These guys are the naturally funny dudes.. They take risks and don't fucking care, I love that.
uh, you might not like him personally, and honestly i rarely watch talkshows outside of youtube videos (or watch live tv in general, no reason to other than sports) but to say Colbert is failing miserably, or failing at all, is sheer stupidity. Thats not a subjective matter. You liking him is subjective, completely your opinion and you can rightly think he is terrible But his numbers are OUTSTANDING, he has the #1 late night show by a good bit. Im sure CBS could not be happier with Colbert @@Zayden.

Craig, he's always one of my favorite show host. He doesn't scare of authority and rules. Love this sexy cursey man
Also, join or die is awesome.
What I really love in this interview is that the two of them have such balance. Craig is more of a unscriptedly, really rioty kind of funny while Colbert is more of the reserved but smart funny. I like it.
Fannish Fanning Hey, that's a great idea for a tv show. One's neat and tidy. And the other is messy and they share an apartment.
god do I miss his show. still watch it on youtube from time to time.
This man is one of the most underrated entertainers of our time. Also excellent writer!

uh, you might not like him personally, and honestly i rarely watch talkshows outside of youtube videos (or watch live tv in general, no reason to other than sports) but to say Colbert is failing miserably, or failing at all, is sheer stupidity. Thats not a subjective matter. You liking him is subjective, completely your opinion and you can rightly think he is terrible
But his numbers are OUTSTANDING, he has the #1 late night show by a good bit. Im sure CBS could not be happier with Colbert @@Zayden.
I don't get why Craig is not as popular as the other talk show host, he's definitely one of the best if not the best.
Man this guy's funny. Someone should give him a talk show, he'd be good at it. ;)
;)
+Jj Lee He quit it in 2014. Nothing happened. It was his 10th year hosting the Late Late Show and he felt like it was time to do something different.
Lovely... two brilliant minds and kind hearts
