Started watching your Korea videos, as I am half Korean. I live in Georgia, US. Just happened to click on this video and you are in Orvieto, I was there a few years ago with my daughter, standing right in front of that church!! So cool. Such a beautiful place! Thank you for your videos! Can't wait for the next Korea videos!
That manor is indeed beautiful, and the surrounding scenery is priceless! Most Italians do only eat bread and coffee for breakfast, just like busy office workers in Asia. However, if they are at home during the holidays, they should prepare it themselves! The car with the ashtray must be at least thirty years old. That car is an antique, haha! Italy is a country of gourmet food, and it seems a bit strange to eat McDonald's in Italy. However, as your Japanese friend said, even the French fries are better in Italy! The Ravioli and steak you ordered look delicious! I have tried Italian limoncello, and I believe most people will like it, if you just drink a bit! The wine cellar looks very old, and it’s great to visit it! I also heard that every cathedral has tunnels, but they are not open to the public. It seems to be true! You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful video!👍🥰🙏
a 30 year old car with heated and cooling seats? lol that car had me confused too. Yeah we wanted to try McDonald's just cause it was right there and we were hungry. Yeah dinner was delish though! As always, thank you for wonderful comment!
I’ve been to Italy and once had a quick meal at a McDonalds in Rome. Italians don’t go to McDonald's , it’s more for the tourist that’s why the food at McDonald’s isn’t that great over there.
It's quite curious that an American says that the Italian breakfast isn't very healthy, it's a shame that if we see in America the overweight population is one of the highest in the world, if I were you I'd ask myself a question, why?.😂 Every country has its own food culture and I have always thought that the American one is the worst in the world, because there is no American cuisine, but only fast food, then saying that eggs is healthy food for Italians makes them smile a lot, given that eggs eaten every day contain a lot of cholesterol and Bacon a lot of fat. Eat healthy food as much as you can in Italy, because it won't happen again!😊
Great video! italian Here to clear up that the mediterranean diet is the helthiest in the world for a reason, so just believe the fact that we italians usually follow those food rules. Eat everything, carbs (never eat more carbs togheter or pasta or pizza or Bread unless it's for scarpetta), a lot veggies and fruits and a lot of fish , not too much meat or aged cheeses, a lot of phisical activity even passive like walking and we do eat at specific hours to help the metabolism. It is absolutely different for every italian and they do change from family to family but the most important thing are the PORTIONS, we eat in a balanced way and if you're not in a restaurant the portions aren't usually crazy big. Our food is under strict laws that implie that it must be the helthiest possible, no unnatural fats, less chemicals in the food and in less words no shit. For a tourist it's usually impossible to know how we really eat, cause most people will eat out instead that in an italian home. it's also true that not every italian is healthy, we just usually try to follow those rules cause it's how we get raised and food colture is very important for us. And Yes coffee or cappuccino are definitely healthier than an american latte or the pastry is definitely healthier than bacon and eggs. The reality is that most italians will just get a sugared coffee and nothing more in the morning anyways.
He's American. One time I saw an American go to Italy and he bought ice cream from McDonalds instead of Gelato from a gelateria. Americans are used to mass produced industrial poison, they don't like fresh food made from scratch
Oh I forgot to say, the McDonalds in Hawaii is best! I grew up there, and you have portugese sausage, eggs and white rice for breakfast! They also have ramen (saimin) for lunch....yummy. Still crave it in my adult years!
ciao Nick, your opinion is Interesting. It seems that our diet is not so healthy but if you dig in deep you could consider some important issue: most of our food has prepared by fresh ingredients, the portions are much smaller than in the USA for example, usually we don't eat outside meal time (usually :-) ). Moreover although in recent times there have been worsening in food habits we are still clue to our food culture and it seems to be continuing all over the time. If you've noticed, there are much less and less overweight people than in other countries. So i think it is not only a question of food but the entire way to live. Ciao e un abbraccio.
A nice advantage of being in one place longer is that the video’s create a story. I get a good impression of what it’s like to live in such a house and in that environment. I wonder what the tunnels were used for in the past. War purposes, mafia practices? I also notice that there seems not much residents and how quiet the town is. I hope you’ll find more stories in Orvieto and in upcoming series too. Thank you. Peace!
It's not mafia for sure because mafia is something about other regions in Italy. It depends on the area. In Orvieto I guess they were useful as storage rooms and warm places during wintertime, or cool places in the summertime. That's why there's a table over the wine bottles (which also need underground chambers). And that's also the main reason in general. There's a big use of the underground in places like Italy, since millennials. Look at Matera, one of the most ancient cities in Europe.
Im italian and i loooove scramble eggs and bacon 😢😢😢 the only thing that I can order in a bar in the morning as salty is an orange juice and a tramezzino, like a club sandwich ... Croissant only if it is sunday and I want to celebrate ❤
I'm not sure the owners of that restaurant were Italian, they seemed North African, even from the accent. I've never seen biscuits soaked in liquor 🤔 and ashtrays in cars have disappeared for several years now. However, it is nice that Japanese people have moved to Italy and really want to live the traditional Italian life, with a house in the countryside, olive trees, a Vespa as a scooter. they should open a UA-cam channel, there are many Japanese UA-camrs who live in Italy and show us their differences, strengths and weaknesses.
Hot weather, drought and olive fruit fly have been the problems, but actually this year seems to be not worst than the previous one in the specific region of the video
We eat sweets in the morning because sugar gives you energy to face the working day while the carbohydrates you eat put you to sleep because digestion comes into play. Now you know why the Mediterranean diet is the most famous and healthy.
