This was super impressive, Seeing someone do all this with a few sets of extra hands and time is super inspiring. I’m looking into buying my first house and renovating a bathroom in this manner is definitely a dream. Awesome work👌
Thanks man! 4yrs ago I bought my first house and renovated it. I didn’t know much of anything but I learned so much!! I have a video of that renovation as well. I hope you buy your first house and just go for it man, you won’t regret it. You’ll learn a ton, you’ll save money, and you’ll have so much more pride in your house.
What an amazing bathroom remodel! The lighting in the niche and under the vanity adds a modern and elegant touch, enhancing the overall ambiance. The use of large tiles creates the illusion of a more spacious room, making the bathroom appear much bigger. The addition of sleek wall shelves provides both style and functionality. This design is a perfect 10 out of 10!
I'm renting a small house but have the opportunity to buy it which will be great. But it needs a full remodel including 2 bathrooms. And I want to install a bathroom in the unfinished basement. I trained all summer with Anton a former gymnast who works in construction. He said he would give the house a look over and see all that it needs. I'm a DIYer with the help of UA-cam and plan to do the work I can with the help of Anton. You remind me of Anton who is in amazing shape but has construction skills. He love drywalling which I will need a lot of. I've dipped into the Vancouver Carpenter's channel and several others that are drywall focused. This bathroom video and others in the series are what I'll be coming back to again. Thanks. And a new subscriber.
I really like the layout of this renovation. It seems spacious even though it has a small footprint. 6' x 8'? Only things I'd change are adding a floor drain under the sink, and doing a wall mount toilet to match the floating vanity/sink. Obviously, those have extra cost and require extra work, but making everything easier to clean is worth it.
@@micahthomas6600 thanks man! It’s so much bigger and brighter with that all being out. I was able to make the vanity much bigger by making the shower more of a square. So much thought went into it so I’m glad it worked out! I bought this place in 2022 and the toilet was new from there sloppy reno so I decided to keep it. It’s already over a built bathroom for the house and area but I’d LOVE a wall mounted toilet someday, never installed one. And the drain under the sink is genius but yes, a ton of work, especially with a concrete slab but that’s a really good idea. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you! The big ones are from floor and decor. Bellevue something. The other ones I got (12x24) from a place called the time shop. Much more expensive but so nice. I forgot the name unfortunately but you’ll see this tile on their site. They have it in white and grey
This really is a beautiful bathroom remodel. But I'll nitpick a bit. (Please, I'm not condemning this at all. It really is a terrific upgrade.) If you freeze the video at 6:15, there are two design ideas going on here that aren't really compatible. You've committed to a wall-hung vanity on the right with a floor-to-ceiling tile treatment on the wall. It's gorgeous! But on the left, there is a traditional-style toilet next to a wall with a tile wainscot that only goes maybe 40 or 42 inches high. The design on the right is impeccable. The design on the left wall should have the same language. In a perfect world, the toilet should have been a more modern, minimalist design that was wall-mounted (reflecting the vanity idea), leaving the floor as a continuous uninterrupted surface just like the wall to the right. Yes, I understand the cost involved with a wall-mounted toilet. It's pricey, so it might not have been practical in this case. God knows I've taken my fair share of shortcuts when remodeling houses! And the tile should have gone floor-to-ceiling here just as it does on the right. Introducing a wainscot treatment here is a callback to 19th-Early 20th Century designs. That's not a bad thing. It just contradicts the ultra-modern, monolithic floor-to-ceiling language of the right side. I also love the warm wood accents on the right wall (yes, I understand the shower niche is "wood" tile and it looks great). You might have mimicked the shower's "wood-look" niche with the two shelves on the left wall above the toilet by joining them with the same wood-tone tile used in the niche. It then becomes a different, yet sympathetic, interpretation of the shower niche. The shelves and the niche then become design "cousins." An LED strip downlight under the upper shelf that mimics the niche would further cement the relationship of the two. And this may be a touchy subject, but the door is definitely the wrong style for this bath. It should be a single panel, not a builder-grade 6-panel door. But that's a whole can of worms and I realize that's not always possible to change out. Sorry to be such a bore. I'm just ruminating and feel free to dismiss my comments as some rando raving against the world. If you love it, you love it and it's perfectly fine. It's really good work.
Thanks so much for the detailed comment, wow! The comments really opened my eyes to having a wall mounted toilet. I made the financial decision to keep the toilet from the get go so I didn’t really think of anything else but that would have looked better for sure, it would be a heck more work and money but something to look into. I did think about LED’s in the shelves but they are kinda high so it would take some real effort to hide them. So the wainscoting is not correct? I’m not sure what that is? Like the height is off?
5:425:45 wow bros. I love seeing men building cool stuff while barefoot. Such nice looking guy with nice looking feet and great building skills. Liked/subscribed for that. Love the end result!
@@TrickieD808 same with the toilet haha I’ll get a new door eventually and I’m going to replace my flooring throughout the house to a wood like the vanity
