Guess we need to add watching mulching videos:
"The desire for instant gratification is innate to humans and is rooted in our survival. The fundamental things that humans need to survive are designed to provide pleasure, like food, drink, sex, sleep, and social interaction. Not coincidentally, these are the acts we indulge in when we seek instant gratification."

nom, nom, nom, I see munchie grabbing mouthfuls of greenery and giving back the mulch afterwards. And then there is that satisfying growl of attacking a big tree and doing its thing with it. Love this Davin, I can well and truly understand your love of this work.

The loggers leave some of the bigger pine trees to help reseed the area naturally. If I was the property owner I'd have had you to leave a bunch of the small pine trees so they could grow back. Pine savannas have been mostly lost in the southeast and that would be a good opportunity there to bring a small one back.

I died a little inside each time you crushed a pine tree, but it looks like they grow like weeds out there. In SoCal, a pine tree is like a golden sheep, we plant them carefully and water them and give them a pillow and pat their heads.

Wow, you’re really doing a great job on this one! And I really do like the commentary as you are working. It really adds to the video and breaks up. Some Of the monotony during the video also, you have yourself a very great day and keep up the good videos. We really appreciate you and your videos and your explanations of the things that are going to be done and with her being done in the process, it really means a lot. Have a great day. God bless.

That lots really nice. I live in the great northwest where we have lots of rocks in the soil. Volcanic and river rock. It would be nice to have machines that can deal with that type of conditions so we can get rid of the amount of debris that are in our forests to cut down on forest fires.

Amazing work Dude !!! Just wonder if the manufacturer thought about a really heavy flywheel addition to help power thru the energy bleed off when you hit the heavy stuff??? I realize that they depend on high flow rates but seems to me a "mechanical aid" like a flywheel would help.

One of the reasons why some larger pines were left behind was to do what's known as "natural seeding". Usually it's done to a land plot that was logged but there wasn't a immediate reason to reseed/plant. Like if it was going to be sold or the owner did the whole "I'll get around to doing something later" and that later turned into so many years afterward and likely a sale to a new owner.
Anyway, it's not really a super common thing for a harvester to do the natural seeding if they plan on coming back to cut again.
Still, a dramatic difference between start and finish of the video.
