As an fyi, the pic posted at 00:30 is not associated with Ville Platte. It is a pic of the first ( 1908) public school at Mamou. It was owned by Simeo Vidrine . Fourteen students studied in one of the rooms upstairs. Keep up the meaningful work. Richard DesHotels
