I don't know. It's a good unit. My only gripe is that the CALIF and BRIT modes don't do high gain. If they did, this would be a superb, all encompassing amp modeler.
I can't speak for other IR devices, but I just purchased a Sonicake IR pedal and am VERY UNIMPRESSED with it! To my ears, the cabinets this is supposed to be representing don't match the real thing. To answer your question, I did place it after the TRI-AC and it colored the tone very POORLY. If I want to color the TRI-AC I've found the best way is to place a graphic EQ after it. There's much more control and flexibility than with an IR device.
Yes, all 3 models handle medium gain territory nicely. As far as high gain goes, the BRIT channel sounds more like medium gain when the DRIVE pot is cranked, and the CALIF model has just a little more gain than the BRIT. I recommend setting those models clean and placing a distortion pedal in front.
Great sounds! 💪 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
Thanks for listening
Excellent demo of clean Fender sounds. Thanks for sharing.
Why was the SANSAMP TRI-AC discontinued?

Hi! Do you think an IR loader/cabsim pedal would work well in tandem with this? Also, does the Brit & US modes cover medium gain terrtory? Thanks!

Why Tweed on all of them? ☹️
Because these are Fender amp tones, not Mesa or Marshall.
