OPEN THE IRIS!
Nice and smooth vertical camera movement.
Perfect for keeping out unwanted Goa'uld
Good day! I just want to ask something (I just watched this video today) I'm wondering if it is possible to create a perfect circles (without any curves) from that mechanism? Thanks in advance if you'll reply ☺
I want these in my headlights to cover the projector + halo eyes but in faster motion.
i like this video and am wondering how to get one.
it looks great, like a stargate in SG series
Very cool! Also, this music reminds me of the Ali G Show.
what is it really used for?
Looks very nice, but why is it so slow
i have always wondered what shape are the individual blades, anybody care to help?
Why dont you show it fully closed? does it have a hole in the middle like some do?
It's possible to put all this config in a microcontroller
You guys do know that is just a simple motor hooked up to a simple Iris valve (It's design is simple! It works just like a pupil dilating), and then to a computer? Nothing beats mechanical, hearing, and senses tuning.
.
Ever see that part in "Tokyo Drift" where the chick tells the due with the computer that she doesn't need a computer to tell her how to drive (something like that)....
.
Try porting a 2-stroke cylinder with a machine, then match it up to a professional porter. The difference is one is a masterpiece of art done by hand! The other... machine made, with no soul put into it!
I need a pair of those for big model of The Nautilus submarine from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
I WANT IT TO SPIN!
I would so turn this in to a stargate! :D
awesome carrot slicer
You know what it should be used for? And it was the reason I looked it up. It should be used as a surround on a brake light. So as you brake there is more light. It is how are pupils dialate and how humans can communicate before speech. Eye dialate is something we would react to. Convinced it would minimise accidents and traffic jams :-)
i was thinking it would make a nice window shade for a skylight :)
@THEORIGINALEXSCAPER Spining is so much cooler than not spining.
Woogoo336: yes it have 5mm hole in the middle, please check out this video: Motorized Iris Diaphragm - Full operation range in our video channel.
Wow, I haven't seen your reply until now. 1 year after posting. was that when they did not have a reply feature...
how much it costs
Top
I dunno about that it seems to be slow closing so they wouldn't wanna be in a rush lol
Does it make the sliding metal against metal sound in a l i e n ? :S
No:), it is rather silent and smooth.
Now all you need is a miniature Stargate to put it on.
I would so turn this into a cigar butt cutter.
im the general here, make it spin!
Looks great, now just make it faster or incoming teams under fire would get killed by either enemy or make splat and then enemy could easily enter...
shame you didn't show it closing to closed and opening from closed.

Alien isolation but it’s real
Chevron 7 engaged. Chevron 7 locked. Outgoing wormhole established.
3 people are Goa'ulds :D
Downvoted for the inappropriate music. People want to hear the machine working not some shit tunes.
We would be happy to let you hear the mechanism, but it is rather silent and smooth, nothing would be heard.:-) If you like mechanical sounds, once we have tried to do some by programming our controllers: ua-cam.com/video/dOqVUFB5Wdo/v-deo.html
Mike McRoberts instead of downvoting, upvote and ask him to post one without the shitty tunes
Mike McRoberts bad reason -_-
NotJames1: We made new video whit full range operation. Please check new video in the channel.
Very smart. What do you yourself use it for? Or is that a silly question? I'm not sure what you do for a living but if you do things like this in your spare time then perhaps you work for NASA.
They use it to stop the Goa'uld.
looks like an interesting video, but who can see anything with such atrocious music playing...
Sorry to see that you are a mute. Your video would have been much better if you had a non mute person to speak for you giving some info about your project.
