Biot Village 🇫🇷 Charming Medieval Town in the Heart of Provence | 4K Walk Cote d'Azur

Biot is a lovely village that dominates hills covered with mimosas and olive trees and has preserved a long tradition of pottery. Its old village perched on a promontory remains very authentic. It is home to the Fernand Léger national museum.
The jar industry developed during the 16th and 17th centuries to transform Biot into an important center of pottery production. However, in the 19th century, pottery, extraction and kiln stone cutting activities diminished.
At the same time, art and crafts flourished. Fernand Léger and other renowned artists settled in Biot and contributed to its reputation. In 1956, Eloi Monod created the Biot glass factory and its bubble glass. Biot has remained the city of art and crafts ever since.

How to go to Biot
The bus line 200 Cannes-Nice (Lignes d'Azur) stops at the Biot train station, on the seafront. Then take line 10 (Antibes-Valbonne) to the village. From mid-July to mid-August, a bus line shuttles you every 20 minutes between the station, the Marineland, and the village.
