Aww that street you crossed in the city,at the lights. Gave me some crazy nightmares. My first day in Samoa and a guy started hustling me right on that corner and followed me across the streets to the carparks on the other side near the government building!! Tell you I never expected it there...there was a few hustlers around town. As for the cleanest..I'd have to say its close, if not the cleanest?! Yea Tyrone is right about the drink...its basically homemade lemonade. 😊
@loasalesa4507 Yes, I should have. He was also very forceful and wouldn't take no for an answer. At first, I just thought he was being friendly, but when he came all the way to the car I was thinking that it was a bit too much. Basically, he put the lavalavas in our car through the open windows. Then he wanted a ridiculous price for them. I saw him again another day..and I said " oh no, not you again" louder than I realised. He heard because he looked at me.. but he didn't try to hassle me again. He actually caught me off guard. It was my first day in Samoa, and I just reached into the city. He must have spotted me a mile away!! I wasn't expecting to be hustled in Samoa, and definitely not that quick! Lol It's okay. we handled it .. We bought the lavalavas, but not at the price he wanted. We paid around cost price. The only thing is we didn't need them,so we gave them away. They were smaller pieces, too. He tried to say he was fund-raising for a kindergarten!
Loving your vlogs of our beautiful island home ❤️ your pronunciation is awesome and the "faafetai" and "talofa" "manuia le aso" is perfect, its all you really need to know for people to respond and help you with anything in Samoa. Just a tip, google maps works almost perfectly in Samoa, search most locations and street names and google maps works fine 👌👌
That was a beautiful video of my island Samoa, and thanks for sharing it and especially enjoying your holiday there even though I'm very surprised you guys are from Jamaica and Argentina, but love you very much.....❤😊😊😊
In samoa u really never was seeing rubbish arround! They really not letting rubbish laying arround, mostly or another taking it. So Samoan in heart and soul they are. Lovely loving they Samoa and looking after.... in europe to many thinking another cleaning up for they rubbish and garbage after party.
Glad you guys decided to take the Taxi than the local bus as a tourist. Beautifully place it seems. But glad you're getting the Rental 👍 👏 🙏. So happy Tyrone is a loving, caring, family man & not on the foolishness. Big up Tyrone/ Maria. ( Jamaica music in every country I see. 😆) ❤️
Just wanted to say I was in JA in July and I went to port Antonio but could only stay two nights as my daughter only could stay in JA less then two weeks. Too bad you all weren’t there. Always nice to have connections have a local tell you best places to go. In Hawaii we call the wraps pareos
Fun fact.. Ma’afala, the Samoan variation of the breadfruit native to Samoa can be found growing in Jamaica and other tropical countries around the world…
Bless up Island Family enjoy your your mini vacation and create beautiful memories along the way 😎🥰 Little Island is like nope 🖐🏻I’ll pass on trying this let’s continue moving 😂😍😍😍

Maria..youre like me..dont like pawpaw either. Stay away from the " Esi" hahah thats pawpaw..lol Only one luau??..haha no that doesnt work..I could eat at least 3 on my own..LOVE it!!
Yes..I was thinking to myself isn't Vaimoso in Upolu, near the city?? Can't be the footprint..but I didn't remember the name of the footprint,so I wasn't sure. I went to Savaii, but I didn't see the Footprint sadly. Saw other places though.
Not really the cleanest cos there are some areas in Samoa where people throw their rubbish e.g: the way to the wharf, the market in town, some small shops and a few places but most areas are clean.
Some call it "skirts", we call them I'E LAVA LAVA (E-YAY-LAH-VAH-LAH-VAH)... Others refer to them as Sarongs, Pareros or Wrap around skirts... Cool & comfortable like kilts... 🙏🙏🙏
It's Not a skirt it's a wrap around called a ie. Samoans use to walk around bare chested cuz it's hot af in the islands. Then Missionaries came and said we had to cover up with 3 piece suits and mu'umu'u's in the middle of of the Equator. 🙄😂
Love watchin yr video clips,.. im a Samoan Aussie and if you guys ever visit Samoa again try pop in to 'Nella's Chicken outlets '' sure Tyrone would have loved to Rub shoulders with kingston local boy Jamaican Jermaine who owns nellas chicken franchise..Jah bless Island family & keep our video's IRIE Love ''..❤🔥
thanks for the reply...not too sure,, have'nt been there for a few years now, as the menu has most likely changed, but you'd find jermaine serving & dancing on the front counter at the' chan mow complex store 'uptown ..as he loves his dancehall & island ragga beats ...
@@henryvaiotu230 okay, cool. That sounds like fun. I did look it up..but what I saw was mostly burgers, fried chicken and chips, etc. It's a bit like a burger place. Open your eyes 👀 you have absolutely no idea 🤷♀️ it’s the most cleanest compared to other pacific countries. If you have nothing nice to say keep scrolling.
@@DiIslandFamilythat's because there's only 200 thousand people who live in samoa, of course it's gonna be abit more cleaner then bigger countries in the Pacific like Australia & New Zealand
