I appreciate that @Steven Marshall... working on getting a film crew. Will take a little time to get these specific content videos on that professional level that you are use to. I tried to angle it up but I lost view of the Throttle Buddy. So many people were concerned about the torque and sensitivity of the throttle on the RION Re90 and I just could not get it where I could get the road scene and the throttle. I appreciate all the feedback and have duly noted so that I can make improved adjustments.

No potholes but the most uneven terrain one has ever seen. Still real tough for Electric Scooters. I'm still looking for the perfect road for Power Scooters.
Stay connected Luke, I see us collaborating on some things in the future. I'm well connected in Hollywood and there's some promising things I see in the future that may include you Buddy.
I have the nanrobot lightning which is a great scooter .for me personally, I needed something faster than the 15mph rental scooter here in Newark where I’m from.I don think I would want to go faster than 40mph . Anything that keeps up with the flow of traffic is perfect IMO. It took me a min to get used to the dual motor and power coming from the rental scooters to a great scooter , but when I did it became a walk in the park . I’ll probably upgrade to another nanrobot scooter , something with longer range .

In this business, it's never a matter of "if" I fall, but "when" I fall so be prepared so you can minimize the pain.
Great ride showcase! Looking forward to seeing what kind of range you can get from moderate riding. I like the humility you displayed on your ride. Nice to know you can enjoy the Re90 without ripping down the road at crazy speeds. The linear progression of the throttle looks butter smooth and as you stated very manageable. At this point, I'm almost 100% sure that I'll be pulling the trigger on the Re90 before this year up. I'm still having a blast with the DX2 but I can see the Re90 as my next experience. Thanks for another great video. Looking forward to the next Scootopian Experience.
Hey Hercules... They have released the newest model- 2021 RION THRUST... it is AMAZING!!! Better handling, more advanced technology, improved performance, stability and manageability. If the Re90 peaked your interest, then you will be VERY HAPPY with the All new 2021 RION THRUST. I can't wait until you get yours ordered, of course it is a 4 - 5 month production and fulfillment expectation. But the excitement starts intensifying the closer you get to your date. Keep me posted Buddy.
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan Hi, quick dumb question.....when you order a Rion Thrust, do you have to pay the entire $7300 (plus shipping) up front or can you pay half on delivery (or something similar)?
Hi @@venmus93 thanks for visiting Scootopia. If you like my Videos make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Channel to keep up with all my Power Scooter Content. Yes you will have to pay for your RION HyperScooter in full, up front. There is no half pay options. You can use a credit card though which will allow you to pay your card balance later.
OhManDan, What frustrates me most about the Rion hyperscooters is that for such a vehicle with build quality and a speed potential, it doesn’t come with a rear break light, turn signals (back or front), nor does it come with a front light. Nor is it waterproof when riding in the rain. For a scooter for it’s price point, why is that? Makes absolutely no sense to me. I guess I’ll have to wait for the Dualtron Thunder III or the Dualtron City 2 to come out. Like I say, I’m in no rush right now for a scooter. But; I only want to buy one once.
You got me busting up over here @Shaun W. Keep in mind that RION HyperScooters were originally created to meet a certain demand. The inventor was shopping for a certain type of Scooter and couldn't find it anywhere, so HE BUILT IT!! That American Dream was done so well, that it became an international phenomenon. People from all over the world want to own that 1st proven HyperScooter... The RION! He just kept improving on his creation and now there's so many regular people who want to own a RION HyperScooter because it is the best made Scooter in the world that actually does what it was created to DO [ Race a Stable high speed Race ] In order to create the BEST RACE Scooter iT had to be minimalistic, have stiff suspension, be aerodynamic, and fast... Everything missing that you want, had to be missing on that type of eScooter. I know it's frustrating to fall in love with something so unique, so we'll made, so expensive and it don't have the basic things you expect... all that bling, Scooters for less have but hang in there, that day will come... Just stay patient. The creation of the APEX shows that RION MOTORS is headed in a direction that will satisfy everything you mentioned and desire, and still be a RION.
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan , Thanks for the heads-up about The Apex. I'll DEFINITELY keep my eyes and ears peeled for that. The one thing that I can honestly appreciate about The Dualtron E-scooters is the availability of the parts for their E-scooters should you need them in the future. With such a vast lineup of E-scooters, I have a feeling that they'll be around for a VERY long time. I'm also waiting for Dualtron to take a page from the Kaabo E-scooter book and make an E-scooter with a forged dual front fork. I think that that's a smart build for rigidity and will help get rid of the steering damper that you see so many of their (Dualtron) scooters have. It just looks so out-of-place to me personally. But, I love the lighting on the Dualtrons. If only all of them had front and high visible front light and turn signals to be visible to other motorists. It wouldn't hurt to have side mirrors and a hazard button as well.
Hello friend, thank you very much for the review of the Rio RE90. Mine arrives in 60 more days and every time I see a video of the re90 on UA-cam it scares me more and says THIS IS TOO CRAZY AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTROL IT. Apples to Apples there has NEVER been an Electric Scooter to beat The Dualtron X Brand in overall comparisons (sure there are Scooters that come along and beat it here and there with certain features) but overall, there has been no eScooter that can TOP the Dualtron X2. I have searched far and wide for the Scooter that can TOP the Dualtron X Brand and $220K dollars later, I have still to FIND that Scooter. It's is my all time Favorite eScooter and I will have to STAY with The Dualtron X2. NOTE: I just bought the Dualtron X Limited and I honestly think MiniMotors will continue their trend, and BEAT themselves once again as King of the heap with this ONE... I can't wait to get it at the end of next month. Stay SAFE out there my Brother and remember to always GearUP whenever, wherever You Ride.
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan, You know Dan, today is my birthday. I turned 44 years old. I live in Orange County, CA and I live 11 miles from work (one way). The Santa Ana river bike trail is 94% of my route. I was in the market for an E-scooter that could save me gas money on my cars, avoid morning and evening traffic, AND be a fun scenic route between home and work. Both my father and father-in-law both own Harley Davison motorcycles 🏍. Yet; I'm not a motorcycle person. I do respect those who are though. I'm actually a road bike person. I ride (when I can) for the exercise and the fun of it. I own a Trek Madone 2012 (5.2) by-the-way. I'm not yet in the market for an electric car (too expensive, too heavy, not enough charging stations, and unsafe incase of a collision, etc.) So, I thought an E-scooter/moped might be a great way to ease myself into the E-vehicle "era". I now want to own both....a moped AND an eScooter. They both look like a lot of fun and I think everyone should have access to them. It's a no-brainer for me because you don't need a special license, insurance, and DMV tags to operate them, yet they're street legal! I like the Dualtron line-ups! I think that they're a great built eScooter. The lighting is impeccable. The best in the market that I've seen so far. I'm going to highly consider it. But you know the eScooter that keeps me coming back to it though? The Kaabo Wolf 🐺 King GT Pro, Bro. For its price ($3,500), I don't think you can beat it. Yeah, it's heavy, but yet....it can handle a 300+ pound rider...🤷🏾♂️. IT'S A TANK!!! Do some modifying, and you've got the BEST E-scooter in my opinion. The weight class is there. The dual forks are there (wish it was completely adjustable), no need for a steering dampener, all the lights are there. It has Sine Wave controllers already (I'm not sure if you can go single motor mode on-the-fly on it...🤔). AND; it's IPX-5 water proof rated too! All you would need to do is upgrades. Change the rear suspension, change the brakes to Nutts from the Zooms, the power is already there, speed is already there, it's off-road ready even though I'd put road tires on it, and you can't beat the handle bar height with the wide handle bars (stable). I would change the thumb throttle to a gun-trigger type style. It's just a sturdy scooter that I think will last the longest in my opinion. I think that it's the best built scooter for its price hands down. Now like I said in the past, my favorite Dualtron scoot is the Thunder II. I think that it rivals the Bronco's top scooter. Decisions-Decisions. 🤷🏾♂️
@@shaunw.1173 You're right on the money (no pun intended) when You say the King GT Pro seems to do it for You (all those features for the price is hard to pass up) It's aa stable and solid eScooter. Bro, your roads look way better than the country roads where I am and I roll out on my scooters lol. My motto is: the faster the ride, the tougher the padding. You could always cut the tip off the throttle finger on your glove. Falling at 25 mph unexpectedly, hurts pretty good, the thicker gear is a better plan at hyper level IMHO.
what does Rion say about maintenance? I love the legal statement that was (is still?) on their site signing away right to sue them etc having to acknowledge it is the buyers risk etc.
RION maintenance is more about tire air pressure, battery management, brakes and tightening. Anything else is service and unless you are skilled in those areas I recommend a person ONLY have RION work on their HyperScooter. The great thing about RION is that there is no bird's nest of wires and everything is plug and play, so they can walk you through most replacement service over the phone if need be.

Nice video for displaying the RE90. Two things 1) With the fast scooters (that go 45- 60+ mph) it is better off riding in the middle of the car lane.. That way you have more room for control and safety. Going 40 mph in the bike lane (or shoulder lane) is dangerous not only to yourself but others as well. 2) I can't see the road ahead as your camera view facing downward...you must've used a chest-mount. Headcam action camera is way way way better because you have full control of view and show the road ahead too.
Thank you @Noobz... I appreciate 🙏 your informative advice. If you like my content be sure to SUBSCRIBE to my Channel so that you don't miss any of my eScooter Videos. In Irvine, Electric Scooters can not ride in the middle of the road. We have to ride in the Bike Lanes when available. The bikes use the trails so we hardly share the Bike Lanes. You are right about the dangers of Bike Lanes. I have four routes that I test on and know those roads real well. I only increase speeds to demonstrate for Consumers but try to never go over 40mph. I have other roads that are abandoned, unraveled roads that I test speed on but even those roads aren't good enough to max out a RION. It's tough finding a good, safe, level, smooth, crack and pot hole free road to do ultimate tests on. I'm still looking for that ideal spot.
Hey Buddy, hope you are well. I'm sorry for the angle of the camera for you on this video. I had to create this video, there are a lot of people who ask and wanted to see the Throttle, modulation and smooth riding without the thumb slipping. Also in California, it is against the Law to Ride your Electric Scooter with or in the actual traffic of vehicles. They are to be ridden in the Bike Lanes. Though Irvine has very uneven terrain, I am able to pick and choose witch Lanes I can demonstrate to the viewers a little more speed. I won't do it if it's too dangerous for me and others. Thanks for your input, I appreciate you.
Riding in the middle of the lane sounds like a good idea but that just put us ebike and escooter one step closer to having to register and buy insurance. I say if you want to ride it in the car lane do it when traffic isn’t heavy, that way at least we can keep the attraction down.
First things come to mind with this particular scooter. While it may go 80mph, you are looking at a death trap there. The Rion has to small of wheels plus a small baseboard for your feet. When you start to go past 40mph, scooters with less then 14 inch wheels become unstable if you hit the slightest bump in the rode. when you don't have a lot of room to move your feet around at a good distance apart, it becomes to easy for the scooter and you, to loose your balance and balance is the key to going fast. And speaking of fast, who in there right mind would want to go 80mph on a two wheel scooter that's made the way Rion is? Not me. A better alternative, is the WEPED Dark Knight standing Scooter with LBC (liquid Blast cooling) and the extra 30ah battery. It get's up to 78 mph but has a number of advantages over the Rion. It comes with 16 inch ATV tires, it's 13 inch wide deck is one of the widest in the market and because it weights 209 pounds, it's fast, but built like a tank and I'd rather have something built like a tank than something built like a childs toy, which the Rion resembles. Yes, the dark knight costs a little more, but it's way safer and doesn't look like it will fall apart in a month, like the Rion looks. Bottom line, where are you going to go 80mph anyway??? And if you did, there aren't many places to do that kind of speed unless your in the desert or in the Midwest in the middle of nowhere.
Hey @MrLou345... thanks for visiting Scootopia. It sounds like you have NOT ridden a RION... but the most important thing you did not mention is that ANY one WHO Race Scooters (Professionally and unProfessionally) one hundred percent agree with the build of the RION HyperScooter. Of course Any Company or Brand sitting at the TOP of the Market will have its HATERS and I understand you are trying to promote the WePed. One thing many HATERS of The RION HyperScooter fail to acknowledge is that the RION was NEVER built for general Consumer purchase. It is a RACE Scooter, and was created to be The Best Race Scooter in The World (which it became) People DO NOT RACE there RION HyperScooters on The Roads you brought up. Plus The RION is for a unique Group of People and the Builders of RION are aware and happy with their die hard Owners. Most people who say things that are not TRUE, typically HAVE NEVER ridden The RION or ANY Scooter they're BASHING. I really HATE when people BASH without FACTS nor address the Pros and Cons of any certain Scooter. I'm a VERY DIFFERENT CONSUMER. I BUY and Celebrate The GOOD in People and Companies and when Companies do not stand up to their Claims (especially relative to Safety, I contact the Owner of that Company Direct) With me, I OWN BOTH Scooters and Prefer the RION over The WePed all DAY (StandUp Scooters). Now the WePed CyberFold DarkNight is a completely different Machine and would definitely be one I'd like to buy (if the Owner ever replies to my inquiries, I will never buy from any Private Vendors as I, and many other faced significant scams when buying my WePed) The RION is by far The BEST Built RACE Scooter I've ever ridden, raced and tested. The WePed (stand up) is a great Scooter for its unique Clientele. When it comes to Power Beast Scooters... of course everyone is aware that is my will house. I have bought more Power Beast Premium Scooters than ANY Consumer around the World, and for the most part I have ONLY run into ONE that does not get my support (and no, it us NOT a WePed) anymore and that's because the Owner of that Brand chose not to respond with Safe, Ethical Best Practice when their Scooter was shipped defective to 18 Customers me included in that number. I DO NOT Support Companies that do NOT provide Quality Customer Care and Quality Safe Products. Stay SAFE out there my friend and remember to always GearUP whenever, wherever You Ride. No stem wobble at all on the Re90... and today I took it up to 68mph. I did a minimum range test. Got 34 miles of range with my weight of 240lbs (with my Gear)

Hey @Zemeithian Watson... thanks for Visiting Scootopia. Texas, New York, Chicago and of course several other towns across the USA has presented the most challenging Riding experiences I've ever gone on and I've Ridden the Roads of 48 States in this Union (New York probably being the most challenging) The RION HyperScooter is a unique and marvelous Creation. A one of a kind and has gone on to cement International acclaim as the World's Fastest and most innovative Racing Scooter ever Designed. The Owner (Gal Thompson) has become an International icon, Pioneer, Innovator and Creator. He is by far the Godfather of Racing HyperScooters in the World, and continues to break his own records with amazing innovation, ingenuity, technology and intuitive advancing approaches to PEV Micro Mobility sustainability. The RION HyperScooter, coveted the World over by people not even qualified to own or Ride our favorite Brand Power Scooters (ie: Dualtron, WePed, NAMI, Kaabo etc) and find themselves lured by its impeccable design, build quality and performance. However, many are not ready to own such a Scooter. It takes years of Riding and advancing in skill, maturity, instinct, response, safety training, and Power Scooter Riding Experience, to appreciate, respect, honor and understand such a worthy Machine. It's an incredible HyperScooter. The Re90 is no longer being made, so you will have to find someone selling theirs which I haven't seen any RION owners selling their RION especially Re90s. The 2021 RION THRUST replaces the Re90 and actually represents every thing all previous models could have become. The RION THRUST is faster, smoother, more technologically advanced. Quieter without the loud fan. You will not be disappointed with the all New 2021 RION THRUST
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan dang it. You got to be kidding me. So what is the difference between rion RE 90 and rion thrust. It’s it the same speed is the RE90. 80mph?

I'd use this if by law it's highway approved. Back in the 90s the Lifetime basketball hoop set was sold at Sportsmart by 95th and Cicero in Oak Lawn. I got a set but never kept the gear due to rust! Teethas broke off and everything, use was lost! God that day sucked, cause the plastic piece with the level cracked off. But the point is, if the teeth never broke off,,,,. Well, I'd be on it.
Hey @Definit1... thanks for visiting Scootopia. Yes this Scooter is by Law, Highway Approved in The United States and any other Country that allow Electric Scooter Riding on Public Streets (as long as The Rider follow The CITY Laws and Guidelines that govern its use) Just like Porsce, Lamborghini, and Ferrari are tremdously fast cars, they are legal to operate on all American Roads but you must stay withing the Legal mandates instituted by each Governing Body in order to operate either of these Super Cars. The Re90 isnt available anymore because it has been replaced by a faster, quieter, more improved Model called, The RION THRUST. There is also The RION APEX, Coming Soon. Oooooh Mannnnn @Peter Van Brucken... it is in deed user friendly. I think the GOOD thing I take out of your comment is that you seem to have a genuine RESPECT for Power Scooters that has raised your acute SAFETY antenna with regard to the Fastest Electric Scooter on the planet. It deserves RESPECT but most importantly, a person must be honest with themselves (not trying to impress folk) and acknowledge that their experience doesn't make them qualified to OWN a RION Re90 or any RION HyperScooter for that matter. Truth be told... there is nothing wrong with the natural progression of eScooter acclimation but the peer pressure to GO FAST has PUSHED people into buying Scooters that are far to fast for them (I'm talking faster than 20 - 30mph) and we are seeing more Rider error accidents as a result (not saying you are a beginner, just speaking about your honesty). The bright side is that, the All New 2021 RION THRUST is more powerful but also more manageable, with an incredibly innovative and intuitive App to set your RIDE up specifically for you (every aspect of the machine at your control). So who knows... I think I may see a RION in your future some day when you're READY and ONLY you KNOW when that happens. Stay connected and thanks for your SUB. @@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan Great reply Dan. I've had my Kaabo Mantis since August last year and still love it. I need to carry it down and up stairs for my work place, so anything heavier is not going to work. I tend to cruise at around 45 kmh and am very aware of what can happen at higher speeds. A girl in our social riding group came off her Zero 11X at around 70kmh recently, so going really quick scares me a bit. Greetings @Curtflirt2... thanks for visiting Scootopia... if you like my Videos make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Channel so that you don't miss any of my eScooter Content. You are absolutely right... HORN 2. TAIL LIGHTS 3. BRAKE LIGHTS 4. HEAD LIGHTS 5. TURN SIGNALS These should BE a Universal adaptation and SAFETY regulation for any and all Electric Scooters on the road for BASIC SAFETY.
IIRC you can upgrade the RE60S to RE70, and RE70 to RE90 battery wise. Upgrading the controller to RE90 might not be straightforward...cause there is difference in design (both underbody chassis and cooling). I wouldn't want to be messing around with the 500 amp controllers with my own hands. Ask Rion via email. They are pretty good at answering questions.

I would never take a RION off road... I don't know anyone who owns one that would even entertain the conversation of off roading any RION HyperScooter. As quiet as it's kept, I've never seen anyone take a WePed or any very high end (expensive) eScooter off road. Not even a Dualtron X, but a RION is not an off road Scooter. As most people who own a RION have more than one eScooter and have Scooters for off roading. Just like all the Scooters I own and I have 13 Scooters. I don't take ANY of mine off roading because that seriously decreases the life expectancy of ANY eScooter.
You're right Buddy, but I'm demonstrating the Throttle manageability and there are a lot of people who were interested in this kind of video. I'm sorry this one is hard for you to watch but I had to create this particular video for good reasons.
I'd rather see the bars and how responsive the controls are, floating footage of the road isn't as fun to watch as you might think He should be in super view, or get a camera that has it

VERY NICE VIDEO--------that road looks great man... (certain parts looked like it was freshly paved? Looks like on a scoot with better shocks *not a racing scoot) would soak that up. The Nami would be fine and so would the Bronco extreme.. I know that is a Rion but until I see it head to head against a weped fs I cant say its the fastest. I wouldnt dare want to go over 100 on that if tho I do see that ever going that speed with those tires. I would rather wait til the weped Dark Knight gets to me so I can go 78+mph with huge tires ... But we allhave our preferences and I just dont prefer small tire scoot's ... again to each his own ... have fun Dan PS DAN do you have a video of it going 80+ cause thats what I want to see ... thanks
Hey @E.V. NATION... thank you so much for visiting Scootopia. I appreciate your comment Buddy. No I don't have a video of me going 80mph but I have been able to take it 78mph. Let me say... on HyperScooters you can never or should never test speed on a road that you don't know, have not tested before any speed run, is not private or closed to through traffic, or has no chance of pedestrians walking anywhere within the area. That's why you don't see very many high SPEED runs from anyone (it's because there just aren't enough safe available roads to use. On pro race tracks there aren't many parts of the track that have a long enough straight way to run test up to those speeds safely. I would love to see the RION THRUST or NOIR up against WePeds' fastest. That should make for a very interesting race in addition to settling the score once and for all. I ordered the Rion Thrust with a 150 lead time and almost a year later have nothing but excuses as to why they can't build the scooter and refuse to give a refund. Do your research folks, to many others like me that are in the same position as me. Affirm won't refund you either.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues. I've never heard of RION MOTORS not giving refunds for those who have been waiting over a year and don't care to wait any further. I know that they did run into supply issues, and Production was delayed severely due to suppliers unable to create and ship critical components. I have been waiting over a year and a half for my Thrust as well. As a businessman, and a Consumer... I understand both sides.
Hi, Marco here, I have purchased a RION 2 years ago and spent over $6,500. I owned and tried so many scooters and I thought this was gonna be the best of the best only to realized that the product is only a concept, not ready for the public and just greedy for money. My RION experienced several defects and got shipped back 2 times from NY to LA to Gal’s shop without ever getting fixed. Now, after 2 years of repairs, Gal, the owner, and his techs don't pick up calls anymore, good luck with service and good luck with the $6,500. It’s a shit show, do not fall for those videos, CANCEL your orders and put $6,500 in Treasury Bills and you’ll make 4.2% and won’t have to deal with such a fake product, or buy real scooters that can be fixed !! If anyone wants to buy it from me I’ll sell it for HALF of what Gal says is worth it! FYI, out of the dual motor only the back works.
Hey @MarcoBritti272... I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through this, and have been added to the list of people (including myself) who had to wait years for their Thrust. RION MOTORS is not the ONLY Scooter Company that has issues and have not delivered Scooters. I have bought 36 Power Beast Scooters, and I also bought (4) four Scooters that (costing $7k to $9.5k each) I have NOT received to this date (over $30k)... so I get your frustration. We live and LEARN in this Industry (sometimes by losing our Money) it's NOT FUN nor FAIR because we DO our parts and it is the Companies who FAIL us. This is WHY I DO these Videos now (to help people AVOID being taken by these type of Companies) I am or have been one of the worst Consumers impacted by this type of Corporate Behavior but life goes on and hopefully we can LEARN who to and who not to patronize anymore. Hey @Movado F U Haters... I am so confused as to WHAT Scooter you are referring to here. At first I thought since you were commenting on this RION Re90's Video, that you were automatically referring to this RION Scooter... but a couple things jump out that leads me to believe you are talking about something totally different... • 1st Thing... You talk about Modding Your Scooter. It is highly recommended NOT to EVER MOD a RION HyperScooter (it will severely handicap your Scooter, causing significant control issues) • 2nd Thing... You said you paid $2000 for both Scooters. Every One knows that budget will NEVER secure RION Ownership (rather New or Used) So WHAT Scooter(s) are you talking about loving here my friend? Please help me understand your comment.
Hey @Patrick W... 1st, let me thank you for visiting Scootopia. If you're big on the latest, greatest eScooter Trends, Releases, Improvements and News then make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Channel... I have a lotta juicy content coming your way... Now about this Re90 and Thrust comparison... Actually there can really never be a fair comparison one RION to another because each is built with certain Consumer Appeals but Ohhhhhh Mannnnnn... You know I have ridden both HyperScooters on every level. The All New 2021 RION THRUST is not only FASTER!!! It EXCEEDS everything you've ever seen or heard of, ON any RION HyperScooter. I can't really get into details about all its features right now because it hasn't been officially released yet but ALL I CAN SAY is... STAND BY my Brother, you just STAND BY!!! This thing takes RION HyperScooters to the next level with all its ground breaking, technological innovation... in build, performance and yes, in software... Stay Tuned Buddy, my THRUST is due to arrive any day now. My date is somewhere around April 30th... crossing my fingers for that KNOCK and answering to that uniquely packaged and illusive... Wooden Crate showing up at my door... My hope is... sooner than later. Send your ENERGY for SOONER my Friend!!! Then the SHOW begins!!
Owned a goped esr750ex. Hit a very small pot hole at full throttle. This was enough to catapulted me over the front handle bars. Landed between 6 - 7m away facing the opposite direction. Legs were facing the scooter. Not sure if i did a 180 or 360 through the air. I'm very fortunate to have cushioned the fall on my backside and not my head. Very very lucky not to have any spinal damage. Just lacerations to my legs, arms, face. My backside was bruised heavily. The esr750ex used a 750w electric motor which was capable of 30km/h. The RE90 is a different beast. More like a jet fighter. Take care riding it.

I gotta lotta New stuff Coming your WAY. So Stay Tuned Buddy. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident Buddy. Like you, I am very happy that you did not sustain very serious injuries or death. You're right these Machines are very dangerous and should always be approached and respected as such. It doesn't matter how powerful, slow, fast, heavy, light... they ALL can hurt a person very bad. It's never a matter of "IF" but "WHEN" a person will fall or have an accident. The hope is that every Person operating an Electric Scooter... takes the time to: • Learn/Know their Scoot • Pre Trip inspect • Post Trip inspect • Fix ALL Safety Issues • Always GearUP no matter speed, trip, or reason for getting on the Deck. • Ride Responsibly • Look out for OTHERS Even though there are no fail proofs to falling... we can ALWAYS minimize our injuries by being aware, prepared and Safe. Be careful my Friend and ALWAYS GearUP when you board an eScooter.
I know, to many it was perfect for what I was trying to show but unfortunately I had to learn the lesson on this video (I could have raised it a little higher and still made my point) Sorry Buddy, it definitely won't happen again
Hey @Allen Coxx... thanks for visiting Scootopia. That is a very true statement for ANY Small two wheeled Vehicle (Motorized or not) Physics just won't allow a moving apparatus on wheels smaller than the hole it hits to go unaffected. Of course wheel sizes have improved significantly (Thank God) and the quality of those tires also improved. You now have 11" and bigger wheel sizes on Electric Scooters (and RION is no exception) of course physics still has its place (even with larger wheels) and error has kinda shifted to Riders nowadays because it is incumbent upon the Rider and user of Electric Scooters to use full, comprehensive and relative common sense, and skill when operating Electric Scooters (especially the faster, more dynamic variants, like the RION HyperScooter) By the time a person reaches the skill level to buy, own and Ride a RION HyperScooter, there knowledge, wit, instinct, response and so much more has grown to meet and prepare them for all sorts of Road Hazzards and unexpected scenarios that might encroach upon their peaceful, "Sunday morning Ride" RION HyperScooters are niche Electric Racing Scooters, designed as the BEST Racing Scooter money can buy. Designed and manufactured right here in the United States of America. Each unit hand crafted and meticolously designed, with the highest quality materials for Racing. Most Owners of a RION, can afford, and own other Electric Scooters along with their RION HyperScooter and use their RION Scooters for the thing it's known for best. Unfortunately for most common Riders the RION HyperScooter has gone on recieve international acclaim and since has become highly desirable by general use Consumers (therein lies the problem) because the General population has gotten use to our favorite Brands and want the most innovative and effective Race Scooter to bend to Chinese Manufacturering Standards which will never happen. When RION makes a Scooter designed for the masses, with certain features they see on NON RACE SCOOTERS, then that segment of population might get the opportunity to own a RION HyperScooter (right now that date is nowhere in sight) RION MOTORS will continue building WHAT they build BEST Quality RION Brand HyperScooters. I only recommend people who have experience Riding existing China made Consumer Hyper Brands (that exceed 60mph) to even consider or buy a RION HyperScooter. That said, even the most experienced Rider, will not be able to buy The RION NOIR (The World's Fastest production Electric Scooter ever built at +120mph governed to 100mph) it is ONLY AVAILABLE to previous Verified RION MOTORS' HyperScooter Buyers, Owners and Riders. Hey @Edris Sarahadil..Sarahadil... thanks for visiting Scootopia. Yes, the RION HyperScooter is not ONLY a beauty to behold but has gone on to achieve international acclaim as the fastest, most efficient Racing HyperScooter in the World. Gal Thompson has exceeded his goal to create the BEST RACING ELectric Scooter ever designed and became an international icon, Pioneer, innovator and master creator of impeccable PEV ingenuity... The RION HyperScooter is NOT for everyone and regular Consumers easily confuse this beautiful machine as a General Electric Scooter (which it's NOT) The RION Hyper Scooter is just that... a Hyper Racing Scooter and was meticulously designed to meet that end with precision, technology and quality components. The general Consumer will not see (on what is now, many Racing Scooters, the common Components they see on General mass Produced Chinese Scooters which include our Favorite Brands) the RION is no exception... heck The RION HyperScooter STARTED it ALL and every Racing Scooter after it ONLY Model the tracks laid by RION MOTORS' Creator (Gal Thompson) a Pioneer of The Ages... I ONLY recommend The RION HyperScooter to individuals with considerable experience Riding our Favorite Chinese made Brands of Hyper performing Scooters (those capable of exceeding 60mph) because then and ONLY then are they able to fully appreciate The Build, Design, and Ride of The RION HyperScooter. Most people who buy a RION is because they can afford it and typically own more than two eScooters. Who says I haven't done 80mph. Just not on this video. I have gone 75mph but that's the extent of it. So why won't you go 80mph? Going fast isn't something to play with Rosamer. A lot of things change in the physics of Riding a Power Scooter when you take it up to those speeds. Road conditions, weather, location all play major roles in how fast a sane person will go on an Electric Scooter. Whenever I am presented with the conditions that allow me to max a Scooter to capacity, I max it to capacity but all conditions have to be optimal for it to happen with OhManDan on deck. Please share with me your past experiences and personal records. Sounds like you have a lot of recorded content that I'd love to see.

No, it wasn't a waist Corey. The title of the Video was demonstrating the manageability of the powerful RION at slow moderate speeds and throttle control. I accomplished what I set out to do. Not a waist at all. RION may not be your cup of tea and that's ok, it's not for everyone, but the fastest production cars on the road (Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti) aren't ALWAYS driven max speed when on the road. Just because you have power doesn't mean that EVERYTIME you ride, it MUST be at high speeds.
That's funny @Tyler Ford. I have definitely been in states with roads like that. I definitely get it. Thanks for visiting Scootopia. If you like my Videos make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Channel so that you don't miss any of my eScooter Content.
You don't need to buy RION Re90 if your cruising speed is up to 30mp/h. => Speed higher than 30mp/h is very dangerous for this type of transport. => You don't need to buy RION Re90 😎
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDansomething like that) It depends on the territory of driving and speed limits on them. Donno any city that you can drive up to 265mph, even theoretically => it makes sense to use the transport according to traffic speed limits. If you don't use some thing it's also called useless, partially in this case ✌
@@-mrws- come over here to Germany and you will always find a freak that passes you at 185 mph (300kmh) on parts of the Autobahn like A2, A7 or A37 xD So while I don't believe any ordinary Lambo will ever hit 265 mph, a Bugatti or Koenigsegg can be totally legal driven here at that speeds; no problem at all (as long nothing happens X)

Thanks @@anthonyhampton4807 there are lots of RIONS on the road and they are extremely fast but there are not many safe roads out there where people can test it at its capacity. Hey @yanooo2007... thanks for visiting Scootopia. Unfortunately it sounds like you are not familiar with my Videos and the fact that I buy all my Scooters (up to 42 Power Beast Scooters to date and is the ONLY UA-camr in the World who has bought every Scooter i've reviewed) It sounds like you dont know my pedigree... I am not beholding to any Mfgr or Vendor, to say or make claims that they want me to say... (I have put my money where my mouth is, to the tune of $280K dollars to date in Scooter purchases) and have gotten into this space four years ago to fill an uncovered VOID. When I got into creating Videos about Power Performance Scooters, there were no UA-camrs creating any content to cover Power Performance Scooters at the time. That was because there were no Mfgrs or Vendors giving them away for FREE (because they cost too much) and UA-camrs could not afford to buy them without affecting their small profit margins. Because I have the financial ability to buy these Scooters, I decided to start providing the content and continue to this date. My Videos have brought awareness and information to viewers that they have never recieved BEFORE, which by the way... has changed the way Consumers view and buy Scooters that include major increases in The Power Performance Market. My record is clearly cemented, and I will not allow anyone including YOU to SPEW lies about Me or My contribution to this Incommture. I deliver honest, raw, transparent and unbiased content that help Consumers make informed decisions before buying these expensive Power Beast Scooters. The Re90 was then, and is today, a Scooter that is far capable... plus with my 242lb frame, I have gotten my Re90 to 70mph more than once. I challenge YOU to find an Re90 for sale, buy it... and start recording Your OWN content at your OWN RISK to deliver Your Videos that prove or disprove your FALSE claims about Me. I risk my life (and have been injured on occasions so that my viewers don't have to) everytime I make a Video for my Viewers, and if you dont appreciate my sacrifices then dont visit my channel or make comments. I've checked my YT analytics and you are not even a Subscriber to my Channel... which means you are only TROLLING my Channel to advance your negative narrative. I don't appreciate you coming on my Channel making false claims about me without even knowing Me, nor buying or even Riding the Re90 yourself. My Channel is not a Channel of lies... I love and even invite people to share TRUE comments on my Channel but not insults, lies or rumor that they want to rally behind or propagate because they are disgruntled about a Brand that I am covering. I'm not that Dude! If that is your ONLY intent then find yourself a welcoming platform or Channel that expouse your TYPE of energy but not here anytime. If the camera was angled up more so we could see the ride in more perspective it would be much better. Hard to watch.
I appreciate that @Steven Marshall... working on getting a film crew. Will take a little time to get these specific content videos on that professional level that you are use to. I tried to angle it up but I lost view of the Throttle Buddy.

Youre definitely on the right track with your Frame Of Mind. Just be sure to gear up, that 40mph eScooter will be plenty fast for you Coming from the shared market's 15mph Scooters.

@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan Hi, quick dumb question.....when you order a Rion Thrust, do you have to pay the entire $7300 (plus shipping) up front or can you pay half on delivery (or something similar)?

@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan Cool. Thanks for the info. I think I am already subscribed to your Channel. Always enjoy the content.
OhManDan,
What frustrates me most about the Rion hyperscooters is that for such a vehicle with build quality and a speed potential, it doesn’t come with a rear break light, turn signals (back or front), nor does it come with a front light.
The RION!
He just kept improving on his creation and now there's so many regular people who want to own a RION HyperScooter because it is the best made Scooter in the world that actually does what it was created to DO [ Race a Stable high speed Race ]
In order to create the BEST RACE Scooter iT had to be minimalistic, have stiff suspension, be aerodynamic, and fast...
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan ,
Thanks for the heads-up about The Apex.
Yeah the roads look great. But they are very uneven, with lotsa small manhole covers dipped into the asphalt, created a hole.
Since I did Ride in New York, I must say these streets are a breeze compared to New York.
Dan,
If you had to own only ONE Escooter today (out of ALL the ones you own), which one would it be and why? 🤔

@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan,
You know Dan, today is my birthday.
Most importantly... it checks ALL Your boxes and meets ALL Your unique needs.

That’s what I want I’m getting that on my birthday the one it travels 80mph

Yes @Simon... our Clubhouse is based out of Irvine, California. I have a home in California, Florida and Atlanta Georgia.
Currently my East Coast Staff and I are working from Florida until the end of Summer building the Micro Mobility Association and a Scootology Store.
It is a RACE Scooter, and was created to be The Best Race Scooter in The World (which it became)
People DO NOT RACE there RION HyperScooters on The Roads you brought up.
I BUY and Celebrate The GOOD in People and Companies and when Companies do not stand up to their Claims (especially relative to Safety, I contact the Owner of that Company Direct)
With me, I OWN BOTH Scooters and Prefer the RION over The WePed all DAY (StandUp Scooters). Now the WePed CyberFold DarkNight is a completely different Machine and would definitely be one I'd like to buy (if the Owner ever replies to my inquiries, I will never buy from any Private Vendors as I, and many other faced significant scams when buying my WePed)
The RION is by far The BEST Built RACE Scooter I've ever ridden, raced and tested.

You are absolutely right... I am a BIG proponent of adequate lighting on ALL Electric Scooters.
I believe that EVERY Electric Scooter should ALWAYS come STOCK with several BASIC SAFETY FEATURES:
APPROPRIATE and ADEQUATE...
1. HORN
2. TAIL LIGHTS
3. BRAKE LIGHTS
4. HEAD LIGHTS
5. TURN SIGNALS
These should BE a Universal adaptation and SAFETY regulation for any and all Electric Scooters on the road for BASIC SAFETY.
Wait - so can I still upgrade the newest version of the RE60S to a RE90? Or to a 2021 thrust? I'm so confused by Rion
Where did you get it? I can't find it anywhere.

I want to thank you for visiting Scootopia. If you like my Videos make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Channel so that you don't miss any of my eScooter Content.
I won't even say uneven roads, how do u think will it go on an off road riding.
Adjust your camera. Nobody needs to stare at the ground the entire video.
You're right Buddy, but I'm demonstrating the Throttle manageability and there are a lot of people who were interested in this kind of video. I'm sorry this one is hard for you to watch but I had to create this particular video for good reasons.

Hi, Marco here,
I have purchased a RION 2 years ago and spent over $6,500.

The hope is that every Person operating an Electric Scooter... takes the time to:
• Learn/Know their Scoot
• Pre Trip inspect
• Post Trip inspect
• Fix ALL Safety Issues
• Always GearUP no
matter speed, trip, or
reason for getting on
the Deck.
• Ride Responsibly
• Look out for OTHERS
Even though there are no fail proofs to falling... we can ALWAYS minimize our injuries by being aware, prepared and Safe.
Be careful my Friend and ALWAYS GearUP when you board an eScooter.

One pothole away from flying
Hey @Allen Coxx... thanks for visiting Scootopia.
That is a very true statement for ANY Small two wheeled Vehicle (Motorized or not)
Physics just won't allow a moving apparatus on wheels smaller than the hole it hits to go unaffected.
Of course wheel sizes have improved significantly (Thank God) and the quality of those tires also improved. You now have 11" and bigger wheel sizes on Electric Scooters (and RION is no exception) of course physics still has its place (even with larger wheels) and error has kinda shifted to Riders nowadays because it is incumbent upon the Rider and user of Electric Scooters to use full, comprehensive and relative common sense, and skill when operating Electric Scooters (especially the faster, more dynamic variants, like the RION HyperScooter)
By the time a person reaches the skill level to buy, own and Ride a RION HyperScooter, there knowledge, wit, instinct, response and so much more has grown to meet and prepare them for all sorts of Road Hazzards and unexpected scenarios that might encroach upon their peaceful, "Sunday morning Ride"
RION HyperScooters are niche Electric Racing Scooters, designed as the BEST Racing Scooter money can buy.
When RION makes a Scooter designed for the masses, with certain features they see on NON RACE SCOOTERS, then that segment of population might get the opportunity to own a RION HyperScooter (right now that date is nowhere in sight)
RION MOTORS will continue building WHAT they build BEST Quality RION Brand HyperScooters.

I love my RION HyperScooters and pray many evolve to the skill, maturity and gall of buying, Owning and Riding this incredible HyperScooter.

Why won't you do 80mph

“Fastest scooter in the world” goes 30mph the whole video lmfao. What a waste
Quit your complaining about your roads come to Michigan hitting a pothole will change your radio station
That's funny @Tyler Ford. I have definitely been in states with roads like that.

You don't need to buy RION Re90 if your cruising speed is up to 30mp/h. =>
Speed higher than 30mp/h is very dangerous for this type of transport. =>
You don't need to buy RION Re90 😎
So if I drive my Lambo 40mph, I don't need to buy it because it goes 265mph?
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDansomething like that)
It depends on the territory of driving and speed limits on them.
Donno any city that you can drive up to 265mph, even theoretically => it makes sense to use the transport according to traffic speed limits.
If you don't use some thing it's also called useless, partially in this case ✌
@@-mrws- come over here to Germany and you will always find a freak that passes you at 185 mph (300kmh) on parts of the Autobahn like A2, A7 or A37 xD
So while I don't believe any ordinary Lambo will ever hit 265 mph, a Bugatti or Koenigsegg can be totally legal driven here at that speeds; no problem at all (as long nothing happens X)
Okay that much & no digital display with smart features like Apple carplay or Android auto wirelessly SMH

Unfortunately it sounds like you are not familiar with my Videos and the fact that I buy all my Scooters (up to 42 Power Beast Scooters to date and is the ONLY UA-camr in the World who has bought every Scooter i've reviewed)
It sounds like you dont know my pedigree...
