Myself and my son (18) with a great friend and his son (14) just did 440 miles of the Oregon BDR a few weeks ago. It was phenomenal. We did the section from Diamond Lake to Hoodoo ski area. I was on a Husqvarna 701, my son was on a CRF250L, my friend was on a KLR650 and his son was on a TW200🤘🏻. I am looking forward to doing the rest of the Oregon BDR in the future 🤙

I'll offer up Lassen and Plumas National Forests offer up some great roads in Northern California. MOAB is on my bucket list. Great video, thanks for sharing

Regarding Plumas national forest - do you have a paved loop suggestion from either Yuba City or Sacramento?

@@oldtimer3824 From Yuba City head towards Belden, a tiny town and great pit stop. From there you are in riding heaven. I don't have particular routes, but I have never been disappointed. Cheers and happy adventures

@@emfl4437 thanks brother, much appreciated! I could go Yuba City to Belden on hwy 70, right on Highway 70 to 89, right on 49 to 20 and back to Yuba City.

Wow! Spectacular! The west is so open and vast. And the weather is reliably good. Here in New England almost all undeveloped areas are heavily forested. The trails are narrow and rocky and muddy. But there are a lot of trails in almost every town outside the cities. They're just not well known. Only the locals ride them. It usually takes a lot of planning to ride all day because you will have to jump on and off many different trails.

Really appreciate your vids. I live in SW Colorado and ride the Silverton area often and have now added Moab to my list. I totally agree that this is premium ADV country. I ride a Husaberg FE390 for rougher stuff, a Versys X300 for lighter stuff and a Vstrom 650XT for mostly street and light off road. All there are wonderful tools for their purpose. Thanks again for your down to earth vids and suggestions.

Great stuff and you’ve given me some new inspirations to ride in. I live in New Mexico and love riding here and CO, but want to get into WY, ID, and CA. The CDT sounds like a really awesome trip, NM to Canada. All across some awesome states.

Ditto on your awesome picks! I would add Crater of the Moon back roads in Idaho and Eastern Washington, Oregon Outback in all of Southeastern Oregon, all off Canyonlands NP, and Lolo Canyon in Idaho / Montana, just to name a few. Those of us in the western US are blessed!! I think Death Valley is my favorite... But wait, there's the San Juan in Colorado.... But to wait...

My son is getting his motorcycle permit and we are starting to plan some adventures outside of our home area of the imperial valley in the deep south of California. I was wondering if you might have a favorite or some suggestions. I realize it's probably asking alot and I appreciate you making the videos you make . Also I took my doughtier to the warm springs ranch and the area is amazing especially if you don't know the ranch is there lol . Thank you again

Hey Ian, I'm from 🇨🇦 Canada, just north of North Dakota and looking to do some adventure riding state side. I'm liking the idea of Montana down to Colorado for a first run. This is exactly what I needed, info from someone who lives in the thick of it. You sure are in adventure land there.

Great stuff.......I would add Mammoth Lakes, June Lake Loop, Owens River Valley to my list. For coastal vibe I enjoy Usal Beach, shelter cove, and kings range. Amazing old growth and ocean vistas. Just don’t deviate from the main dirt roads, lots of stinky grows here.
