Great video! Finks was no nonsense, humble, and focused on his job. I lived close to the Saints Dr. practicing facility during high school. There was a conveniennce store across from the facility off of David Dr/ Saints Dr. Met a ton of players there when they would buy snacks. Finks drove a beat up car- mid 70's vehicle.
Brandon wow. that's cool. I was a fan and still a fan of the team. amazing how time passes on. Glad he's doing well for himself after football. Not always the case for some.
Hebert was a damn good QB who could shoot it out with anybody. The same goes for Wade Wilson and Jim Everett. But OC Carl Smith held them and every other QB back with his conservative and PREDICTABLE play calling. Smith was the reason the Saints never challenged for the super bowl.
The Saints screwed up royally by bringing in Dave Garrett to do radio play-by-play in '92 and '93. Thank God they came to their senses and brought back Henderson.
it's a real shame cause this team wouldve given Dallas and those triplets in Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin a run for their money in the playoffs
I really wish I could agree but Michael Irvin and Alvin Harper would've left our secondary so destroyed they'd only be identifiable by dental records. We might've had a shot at containing Emmitt though. That said, we would've had a hell of a time trying to score the 30-35 points necessary to keep up with them.
I don't remember ANYTHING as a three year old, so thanks for uploading!

s jones And you can't forget Manny's Poboys across from their also... Those were great times on David Dr back in the day!
this was cool to see again. the saints had a good team that year and this brings back a lot of those memories.
In 1993 The Saints went 8-8 and missed the playoffs after starting the season 5-0. This wasn’t a good year for the Saints.
@@chrisconsorte7893 yeah, same heartbreaking story for the saints. but they had talent in the early 90s..
absolutely awesome video. This brings me back!
Eric Martin was freaking awesome. He was so smooth and powerful. Notice all of the times he has a nice stiff arm on a defender.
My all time favorite wide receiver. A great talent who’s career ended far too soon.
The music during the credits is so good 33:24
The 1993 Saints had that great start, but losing key guys like Hebert/Swilling/Ironhead really came back to bite them.
Brings me back. The year I started watching football
rip mr jim
SF 49ers owned the NFC West at the time.
I work with Derek Brown now lol. Seeing if I could see some clips of him.
Brandon where do you guys work. I'm from New Orleans and was and still is a tremendous fan.
wortha2ndlookart We work in Denver. He's a locomotive engineer now with BNSF Railway. He's the engineer on the job I'm assigned to.

Thanks for the info.

that was rough. poor archie. jim henderson should be ashamed for throwing him under the bus
I skipped through it once I saw the latter half was all retrospective stuff. What time stamp does this occur at?

I hated Wade Wilson. He choked second half of season. Mora should have opened up offensively. Letting Hebert go was a bad idea.

@@blakfloyd Dallas beat us on MNF in Week 16 that year by like 8. It was a home game though.
The Pittsburgh game was the season downfall
When free agency and the salary cap began the Saints 90s decline
