Not a fan of the megascope changes, I understand the value argument but I just don't agree, it's too slow for me to consider it a problem. That said, the rest of the changes don't bother me one way or another. Some are pretty good, some are bad, none are very interesting I think. Bit of a boring BC imo.
Megascope takes one turn to proc. One turn. I will never understand the "too slow" argument when you can literally replicate any engine, any pointslam, any bronze in the game at all for 4 provisions. No idea how we kept it at 4p for so long.
It's usually not used on engines nowadays tho, except maybe witch apprentices but thats more of a backup play in the fruits deck instead of griffins. It's a deserved nerf for that deck in particular but I think there were other ways to nerf that deck
I won't disagree that it was a very strong 4p card but I genuinely do not believe it was too strong. It saw "abuse" in some popular decks, but was megascope the key card to that? I don't believe so. It has a high ceiling in specific decks but it's just not oppressive and said decks could have been addressed differently if deemed problematic imo. I'll fully concede I'm not the most experienced player and might be way off the mark, but to me it just never felt like it was megascope that was the problem even where it was strong. Either way, I dislike it.
We've arrived at a point where like a quarter of all changes is just cards that get changed every month plus Riptide or Living armor. BC is killing Gwent for me. Looking at this is worse than playing against Reavers. And hitting your head against a stone wall is more fun than that, so...
Yeah I agree, is a waste of time, there are a lot of cards in the game that can be changed but every month we see a lot of the same ones that keeps changing and reversed every time. Variety is getting bad month by month.
Agree BC is made by people like playing NR braindead decks and combo decks in generale.. in fact they always nerf skilled faction that can break your combo or playing against you because those factions are consistent.. calvait nerf is mad, and when you look decks they play the play no tutor.. so dumb russian and turkish community slam point nilfgaard amd sy skilled gameplay haters. CDPR should back on the game make very good marketing and replace those idiot. Make skilled deck nilfgaard sy great again
New subscriber here! Just wanted to say that you do a terrific job with these videos. Informative but relaxed and entertaining talk, looking forward to what you got in store for November.
@@platinumpatrol2964 I've actually changed my mind about megascope after hearing people's different opinion on it. It probably SHOULD be 5 to be honest lol. Reaver hunter at 7 provisions is a dangerous game to be playing. A 7 provisions bronze is opening a door I'm not sure can be closed.
I really like lord Riptide revert. 10 power causes him to be more flexible in ogroids when he should he played. You can play him in front for removal, back for might or on last say to capitalize for keeping might. Making him 9 power made him akward in ogroids and cemented him as annoying removal. He should be 10 power but should be nerfed in provision so he wouldn't be braindead autoinckude in every deck
Never should have been 10 in the first place. It was a streamer who made that push. Streamers are the simultaneously the best and worst thing to ever happen to this game lol.
Why would he be 10 power? It doesn't have any ogroid synergy. It is literally only a removal "OH OH BUT AT TEN HE HAS MIGHT" No he doesn't. If he clashes with anything higher than 2 power, then he is not achieving might without some boost from another source. And he is not intended to be played on the range row ever, obviously. Stop ruining balance of this game and learn to count.
@@dannyavery5578 LOL. It could be 8 power and it still would be played in ogres, and most MO decks overall. Repeat after me, Riptide is almost never at 10 after using it so his power is irrelevant for might. Riptide is almost never at 10 after using it so his power is irrelevant for might.
i don't really think the Tyr is a nerf. sometimes you get it from Henry and you are trying to get the carry over, and the opponent just hit you with Geralt.
There are plenty of dead bronze cards in every faction. I agree with some well needed changes to shake a bit the meta but we are not making Gwent a better game nerfing/buffing the same cards all over again.
So stupid. Both auto include cards in MO just getting buffed. The strongest deck this season (symbiosis) gets buffed. Instead of flip flopping on nausica and slave driver and the living armor the community should focus on nerfing MO. Its the only faction that has bern consistently buffed. Any nerfs get reverted immidiately in next BC
Symbiosis is definitely nerfed from the Frog Mating Season nerf. It really hurts the tempo options. Not being able to get if from Filavandrel is a pretty big deal.
Has i have said before people complaining about CDPR balancing the game well allow me to introduce to you BC people that thought CDPR did a bad job 😂 i rather have them balancing the cards right now then BC riptide did not need buff reavers good change i know there week but i hate that card and tyr change was pointless provisions would have been better cause now you heatwave or lock him and if he resliance is up you have to purify him like WTF BC come on folks. Ps great video by the way always come here to see these videos at the end of the month keep up the great work.
First BC I take part in and this happens 🥲 Hope we can do better next time. Though I do love a couple of the changes, the rest are either inconsequential (e.g. Saboteur) or just straight up bad (e.g. Morvudd)
I'm very happy with MOST of the changes. The biggest issue I have is megascope. I can't believe all the big streamers made that push. OmG MeGaScOpE CaN pLaY 9 fOr 4!!!??? Yeah after TWO turns, regards... That averages 4.5 a turn. Oh WOW better nerf it! Stupid. And then of course living armor, which is basically a meme at this point, and is just an ode to the collective IQ of Gwenters as a whole. Cant wait to see it at one power while other cards that could use a power decrease continue to be untouched. At least Nilfgard finally got a good nerf this time around. Tired of playing them literally every other match.
Saying megascope averages 4.5 points per turn is not a good argument since playing it doesn’t use 2 turns. I don’t even think I agree with the nerf but your arguments are just bad and annoying since you post them under every gwent video
The defender nerf is just a weird dumb thing I have never seen defenders played as little as now, Henry is a good change he is insanely strong! Reavers i have always thought we're very weak just annoying, but a bronze for 7 provision is insane. I like kimboldt but I have never seen him Being played! Maybe 2 times since he came out and that's it. Morvudd is for carrying MO decks so I get it, I am just so glad we got our roach back 😁 I hate the tyr change for the reason you said it is out of geralt range now! But kraken is a buff not a nerf. Now you kill it like you say I do like it but seems like a massive buff! all in all pretty good changes this season not gonna be fun with all the rain decks but still remember cultist in grave and you are mostly fine. Really disappointed we still didn't get buff to NR knights, drummer is great so glad, we need non played cards to get a come back to see new decks! Thanks for the list couldn't figure out why My NR account didnt have any red crosses or + in provision but now it makes. So all in all are you happy with it? Riptide was better at 9 made sense but whatever 😅
Overall there's some interesting stuff I'm excited to test. I usually try to ignore the changes I don't like after making these videos since there's not much point in complaining about them.
@platinumpatrol2964 wish you saw it in different view, you are one of the few who can actually push some great changes through. You make good arguments good points people agree with you. Complaining about the changes is the only way we can all find a common ground on what to vote next month since we don't have CDPR to do it. I know our votes doesn't really matter since one guy control the majority, but still a guy like you could probably get people to vote with you. Normally I hate when youtubers use there platform to push votes but I think you are the only one who doesn't just want to get rid of something cause you don't like that faction or that card. So yeah I think if you pointed out concerns for cards people would take that into consideration when voting.
Wtf is wrong with people ? How i see reavers: one of stronger(easyer to play and master) decks, wery NG style where bronses do most of the job. So if your deck can not beat braindead deck may be its a skill issue ? Sometimes win/loss is defined by your archetype, not even your skill, so wtf thats why i dont play only patiance alumni. Why we dont see any assimilate nerfs ? Like real ones ?
The weird thing is that aren't only better than average players able to vote on balance council? For me Reavers felt perfectly balanced at 6 and you don't even need a full control SK/NG type of deck to manage against them. And yes part of the game is that you sometimes lose in the annoying way where the Reavers keep your board empty
RIPTIDE AT 10 DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING FOR MIGHT. IT ONLY MAKES REMOVAL STRONGER. I swear gwent players make my brain smaller every time I see their thoughts online 😂
