No, it does not. Not by any metric. Even the XPT, which is not the worst train, but certainly couldn't be described as 'good', at least not by today's standards. Even in Australia there are many trains superior to the XPT, particularly the tilt train in Queensland and the Vlocity in Victoria.
i havnt been to Bendigo in over 15 years, and after watching your video - the train seems the best way to get there, very cheap at only $34.40 one way, much cheaper than driving with the cost of petrol these days. can you remember how many trips from Southern Cross station to Bendigo (and Back to melbourne) there are, like is it popular, or just say 2 a day - thanks for your great videos
