Suppe lost because he trained slinger army againts cav+archer army. Slingers tanked all the cav damage and just hit the cav, not the archers. This is a huge mistake. We cant know how strong is gaia under these terms.
I think delivering all that food in the form of elephants was a solid short term play but in the long run it screwed him since Atlanteans have expensive farms, they would have been forced to farm earlier or seek hunt further away
I was messing around with Ra last night, trying the all infantry build with Ptah and Horus. If your spearmen fall (and they will) you’re at the mercy of cavalry. Needed some camel riders and maybe some more Wadjets. Excellent response by the Gaia player to build all that cav after seeing the wave of priests and slingers.
it looks like Suppe was trying something out this game, he never built a migdol and went in with barracks units only Also surprised to not have seen a fast mythic, he looked poised for it
Two ways he is healing one gaia and her lush heal 1/s and the early flying myth scout in age 2 for gaia has healing but in this there is only the lush healing and heals pretty fast depending on how many units are being healed at once
The buffs didn't change muc hto be honest. What is nice, is people start to learn how to play with gaia and utilize her effects. There is still HUGE room for improvement.
The lush is definitely healing the bird, but it was being healed by the Chaldria (not sure if I spelled it right). Never heard of the trees healing units though.
new monument effect really looks more like a buff than a debuff now, but its too prominent/visible/too much still in my opinion at least. suggestion: reduce the glow/vfx a bit
hey I am new to AoM and also I didn't quite get it in the video, why Gaia is as potent as people are talking about and also I saw a guy complaining about greek, are they powerful if so than what's make them powerful I welcome a constructive mature feedback cheers
Hey atlanteans were the weakest by a landslide compared to things like isis set and Zeus. They got buffed in the most recent patch but realistically they are mediocre at best. People are hyping it up for clicks but it's also one of the less covered religions since it was weak. Having content for atlanteans is great since most content before the patch was for the stronger gods. Content creators are riding the high of them being buffed. I am not complaining since I like Gaia the most and I'm just glad to have content
The reason is that gaias economic advantages via the economic guild with reduced cost for upgrades allow immense eco boom into flood of units, the caveat is that you must play defensively. One overlooked advantage from a play point of view with Atlantean is that macro is far more simple, therefore if you are a slower player or learning they are advantageous.
@@veganism_is_superior in my personal experience of gaming what I can tell is, if they are excessively broken then a balancing needs to be done however if people are having skill issues than they need to get good rather than complaining. Cheers

Yeah, egyptian classical army needs 100% attention spam to micro fights. At one point husk lost all his army to a lack of micro. Lost the game there.

Atlanteans don't have expensive farms at all. As their villagers are 2 in 1, their farms cost too. Otherwise it would be op.

With the new patch theres also a hotkey to switch the overlay sides, so that red & blue are on the correct side

It is a bit of a bummer to do that with ra, when all your offensive bonus are in the migdol units.

Did they change the red mist from Set? I tried to look under the graphic sect in the patch, but I couldn't find anything. I liked the mist before.

This map, being large and defensible, often leads to 2tc plays or 1tc fh or fm pushes. It’s too large to raid effectively early on

Gaia is bugged at the moment. Some of her units cost a lot less than they should.

I don't watch a lot of competitive RTS gameplay, but it seems like AoM is very slow paced.
Compared to StarCraft because StarCraft’s default setting is lightning mode
