One celebrity's death I'll always remember who holds a place in my heart. Freddie Mercury. He passed on my b-day in 1991. Ten years earlier, 1981, I was at the Queen concert in Montreal celebrating my b-day with the magic of Queen and Mr. Fahrenheit! I light a candle for him every year on that date.
I totally was devastated and started crying when Jonathan thrasher told me in the school yard that he’d seen on the news Dimebag Darrell had been murdered. RIP
Tom Petty’s death really caught me off guard…that was a rough one for some reason. Couldn’t stop crying while listening to his music thinking about how I’d never get to see him live.
I could possibly justify it if the celebrity was kind of close to the age of their "passing" (think 70+ years old), but when I heard the one telling about Bon Jovi gone at 70, my first thought was "no way, he's YOUNGER than me and I am NOT even 70!", lol 🤣
There are people who post fake announcements of celebrity deaths across social media. It's not the least bit funny. And not because they're celebrities or famous. It's infantile and ghoulish.
Same. They're the only ones I can think of that made me feel just awful when I heard of their passing since I've been an adult. A whole lot of people passed when I was a kid that was hard to hear about at the time. Betty White's passing made me sad, but at her age it was to be expected.
Our office cleaning lady told me that Elvis Presley died just 8 months after I first saw him in concert, but it was true. I'll be real upset if Kim Bassinger dies before me!! On the other celebrities, it's not like Jon Bon Jovi or Barbra Streisand are going to be recording any new songs in the future.
We older people have known and loved many of these people, some since our childhood. Michael Jackson was same age as me and I watched him since he and I were both chikdren. It hurts when someone who has been a part of your memories, part of your history goes. And if they are of similar age, it hits home that you will be gone too. My first crush was Peter Tork from the Monkees. I felt like a slice of my own life had gone when he passed away. That is why these jokes are cruel. The kids laugh but they are really giving their parents a nasty shock. Saying afterwards it isn't true doesn't make up for the shock they had. What if the parent had a heart attack because of it? Would you laugh then??😢
If I woke up to news of a sudden passing? I'd say Steve Burns from _Blue"s Clues_ . His TikToks are so comforting for people, who were a kid or a parent during his era on the show.
Dame Maggie Smith and James Earl Jones. Maggie Smith first as McGonnal and then as Dowager Countess Grantham. And JAmes Earl Jones as Midas’s in the origional Lion King. Got a bit upset.
❌. Did they snatch this idea from Jimmy Kimmel? One of his best bits was videoing kids after telling them that their parents ate all their Halloween candy overnight. Best reactions of all time. 😈😧😈😧😈😧😈😧😈
I was quite saddened by a number of celebrities that passed including Robin Williams, Betty White, Matthew Perry, Alan Rickman... Etc... but the hardest will be the day Ozzy Osbourne leaves us... I will be crushed... Completely devastated
I don’t understand why it’s funny. How is causing someone pain funny? I don’t have any celebrity crushes either, but there are people who would sadden me.
I remember my mother crying when Elvis Presley died. The only reason I remember is that I had a dentist appointment that day and the dentist’s office was blaring Elvis songs.
I felt rattled when I heard that Ray Liotta was dead. Though it was true , i can relate to the unbelief. The reactions of these parents is priceless! Can you imagine how they would reaction if it were someone they knew and loved?

There was a time when I thought I wouldn’t cry over a celebrities, death, and then Princess Diana died. I would probably cry for several people on this list. Jim my Buffet died in 2023. 😢
Nope. That wouldn't fly with me or my mom after what we went through when Elvis died. I waa almost 16 and hysterical when I saw the report on tv. Mom came running when she heard me scream. I couldn't even tell her because I was crying so hard. I just pointed at the tv and she collapsed on the floor in tears beside me. That kind of prank over someone else dying would get someone smacked.
I was devastating after John Lennon and Robin Williams off the top of my head, but I think these kids are cruel to do this to their parents. I wonder how many of these kids would think it funny if they caused their parent a heart attack or cause them to faint and hit their head and injure themself worse?
Kabir, the one that says Howie Mandel was dead.... That was Howie Mandel that turned around!!! 😂
I noticed that too.
Hahaha that one got me. He’s always on board to troll
Came here to say that 😂
I think it even suprised Howie to hear he died😂😂
The funniest was when Howie Mandel’s wife told Howie Mandel that Howie Mandel died!🤣🤣😴🤣
Love Grandma Debbie
I wonder how many caught that. LOL
Robin Williams was the one that really got me
Me too. I was so sad to learn of Robin William's death. 😢

Nov 24....some days it still gets to me.
I was wrecked when Princess Diana died.
Same here
John Lennon for me.
Robin Williams and Eddie Van Halen hit me hard.
It was Robin Williams and Chester Bennington for me.
Howie Mandell dead at 69. Dad turns around and it's Howie! 😂😂😂
I was sad when I heard Bill Paxton passed away. 🥺. He was my celebrity crush.
2016 was rough. We lost David Bowie in January, Prince (my favorite) in April, and George Michael on Christmas. I still mourn Prince every April.
That was a rough year.
Alan Rickman (Professor Snape) as well
It's the ones your own age that'll hit hard.
I totally was devastated and started crying when Jonathan thrasher told me in the school yard that he’d seen on the news Dimebag Darrell had been murdered. RIP
TBH when many of these celebrities die, I mourn my youth as much, if not more, than their death.
Had a similar tinge of sadness when Aretha Franklin passed.
Also love the ones that have passed away at a older age than what they currently are, lol.
Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth, Michael Jackson, Jack Ritter and Robin Williams! I was really upset when they passed!
I was upset with William F. Buckley died.
Tom Petty’s death really caught me off guard…that was a rough one for some reason. Couldn’t stop crying while listening to his music thinking about how I’d never get to see him live.
When someone says The Late, Great, Sir Elton John I will lose my shit
I was shocked and very sad when MJ, Prince and Robin Williams died.😢
I could possibly justify it if the celebrity was kind of close to the age of their "passing" (think 70+ years old), but when I heard the one telling about Bon Jovi gone at 70, my first thought was "no way, he's YOUNGER than me and I am NOT even 70!", lol 🤣
These people are way over the top. I will admit tho, i did cry when 2Pac died... In my defense I was 15.
I'm preparing for it since he's 98, but Mel Brooks is one. Or Mark Hamill.
There are people who post fake announcements of celebrity deaths across social media. It's not the least bit funny. And not because they're celebrities or famous. It's infantile and ghoulish.
There is one of these rotten channels on YT. It's despicable!
Agree. It's cruel, not funny. Only sociopaths would enjoy others' pain.
Eminem 😭😭
I bawled when Robin Williams passed
Eminem is alive and well bro man.
@colinvannurden3090 I know. Lol! But he is one that I would be extremely upset when he goes. Betty White and Robin Williams hurt bad too.
I was like that with Robin Williams and Matthew Perry.
Same. They're the only ones I can think of that made me feel just awful when I heard of their passing since I've been an adult. A whole lot of people passed when I was a kid that was hard to hear about at the time. Betty White's passing made me sad, but at her age it was to be expected.
I was so upset when Elvis died, I cried for days.
Same. It happened a few months before I turned 16 and both my mom and I were a mess for weeks.
I cried when Norm Macdonald died. I wasn’t over the top like these people but I was sad.
Same here. Brilliant mind that just wanted to make us laugh.
When Elvis died, the whole world stopped for a moment.
That was so funny! 😂😂😂
I didnt cry but was really bummed when Prince died.
Our office cleaning lady told me that Elvis Presley died just 8 months after I first saw him in concert, but it was true. I'll be real upset if Kim Bassinger dies before me!! Simon LeBon from Duran Duran! That would kill me!!! 😂
If I woke up to news of a sudden passing? I'd say
Steve Burns from _Blue"s Clues_ .
Howie Mandel! 😂😂😂😂
Ive got to get my mom on this with Rod Stewart. Lol
When I told my family that Tom Petty died after falling from a stage, my son asked if he was free fallin'. 😂 I was so proud. My son was 14.
I was six when John Lennon died. I think it was the first major big news story or celebrity death I remember. I was only 3 when Elvis died.
We must be the same age as I was 3 when Elvis died and 6 when John Lennon died.
@@katinacarson-hunwi7297 I remember being told over the elementary school intercom that JFK was dead. Ugh.
Kabir, that accent is straight from the trailer.
Prince, Whitney Houston and Robin Williams wrecked me fr
❌. Did they snatch this idea from Jimmy Kimmel? One of his best bits was videoing kids after telling them that their parents ate all their Halloween candy overnight. Best reactions of all time. 😈😧😈😧😈😧😈😧😈
Sir Patrick Stewart will make cry. 😢
Prince hit me hard as well as Robin Williams. I will breakdown when Robert Deniro goes and also David Gilmour.
I remember my mother crying when Elvis Presley died. The only reason I remember is that I had a dentist appointment that day and the dentist’s office was blaring Elvis songs.
I understand being sad, but you can't really be "shocked" and in disbelief if somebody is in their 80's.
Jimmy Buffet did die in 2023, When was this filmed?
Robin Willams and Tom Petty.😢
I felt rattled when I heard that Ray Liotta was dead. Though it was true , i can relate to the unbelief. The reactions of these parents is priceless! Can you imagine how they would reaction if it were someone they knew and loved?

I had that reaction when I was at work and found out Carrie Fisher had died.
Someone told me Trump was Dead and I said "It can't be true -- There are no Fireworks going off!"
Don’t think I’ve ever been so early to a video 🙌🏻😅
Would miss David Finfrock, channel 5 meteorologist .....obviously im from Texas😅 🌪
when peep died in 2017 i got real teary eyed
When I found out Prince died it broke my heart.
Why is this so funny?
It isn’t actually
I'd be afraid that if I said someone was dead, I'd jinx it.
Brien from the back street boys would so break my heart !
River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain are the ones where I remember where I was when I heard.
The only celebrity that died that caused me to react like that was Chester Bennington
There was a time when I thought I wouldn’t cry over a celebrities, death, and then Princess Diana died. I would probably cry for several people on this list. Jim my Buffet died in 2023. 😢
two celebrity deaths made me shed a tear, Robin Williams and Micheal Jackson.
Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters hit me like that, sadly it was true.
Hunter S Thompson and Jimmy Buffet...
Fear and Loathing, A Pirate looks at 40..
Mine was Tony Gwynn and he died 2 days after my Dad died. The other is Dave Matthew’s.
The only celebrity that made me shed a tear was Anthony Bourdain
At first i found it funny , but the funny soon wore off . Not a nice prank not for me
Steve Erwin was the only one that could make me react that way
Shirley Temple. Broke my heart 💔
Jerry Garcia and John Lennon really upset me 😢😢
It’s going to be a rough day for me when Sir Paul goes.
"Oh my God". People get a life.
Right!? And you don’t use language like that at your kids, no matter how old they are.
@@jtoland2333So many of these parents seem to be stuck in a perpetual adolescence. It's so depressing to see.
Let’s be honest if the Taylor swift thing happened, half my family would cheer the other half would cry
Kabir is the best, f all the rest.. 🤘
Just fucking hilarious 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I cried when Prince died.
And upon hearing the "news", let's INSTANTLY go to the PHONE!! 😡😡 What about before there were these options? TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY!! 🤣😡
A lot of people don't really listen, just hear the name and the word "died". Use your brain people!! 🤣
more!
Lol, the one Howie Mandell is dead, that was Howie Mandell...
John Wayne hurt, but Karen Carpenter broke my heart.
Rod Stewart or sam elliot would crush me
Robin Williams for me.
When it happened to me, it was for real. It was when Chris Cornell died. Worst day ever.
It wasn’t like any of these weirdos but I was definitely upset when Robin Williams, Betty White, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed
I know it is hard to believe but Bruce Jenner was an Olympic Hero to my generation.
Kabir, how would you react if someone told you Prince William or Princess Kate died? Would that give you a shock?
At least they got Jimmy Buffet right
🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅😂🤣

I didn't realise this would be so funny :) Cruel but funny.
Sadly I was like that when it came to Robin Williams but his was real
Bernie Mac hit hard, partly because it came out of left field. It's still unreal all these years later.
My reaction to hearing of a celebrity death....how 'bout that? Pass the peas please.
Yes exactly.
How is being cruel to your family members funny?
Robert Plant
Its funny. I guess unless you're one of the celebs
The Harry Style’s girl is me! 💯
Arsenal died today 🤣 Sorry, as a suffering Man Utd fan, I couldn't pass that up.
Too soon 🥲
