As an Irishman I have to say I did not expect that English backslash, wow what a performance from them , gutted we lost by single point but I cant deny then their glory. They were written off by everyone and they answered their critics. They spoiled our potential back to back grand slam which we will never recover from but alas. It was a boring tournament until now 😮

Gracious in defeat. Love to see it. One of the best games i've seen in a long time. The momentum swang both ways, score swang both ways. Sure that won't stop them from lifting the trophy in a couple weeks! Oh and the u20 match yesterday England and Ireland 32-32, that was one of the best matches i've seen for a long time too. Both nail biters.
As an Englishman i was shocked by that performance from England. Never saw that coming but obviously delighted. And class from all ireland supporters.

As a Irish fan, well done England ye definitely deserved to win, Ireland just couldnt get into the game at all it just wasn't our day and that happens. When we were 22-20 i bloody knew that drop goal was coming 😂. Well done anyways
England seems to be great at disruption of flow. Almost cost the Boks big time until they switched strategies
if the drop goal was missed a unmissable penalty was next

England did most of the things correct resulting in the skip pass to James Lowe however that's when Marcus Smith needs use his body as weight so that Lowe does not make it. Also the first one. Kolbe and Arendse tend to scramble haaaard to stop that play. They did against the all blacks in the final. I believe England has the players who are quick enough to scramble like SA.

@@Jackie-ji2sj true Ireland supporters were more worried about yesterday's game than the Scotland game. That wasn't to say, we thought we would beat Scotland but more Scotland at home would be so much better than England in Twickenham.
The 6 nations needed yesterday's results, especially for neutrals, as much as it hurt, Both Italy and England thoroughly deserved their wins yesterday. Ireland and Scotland meeting with both coming off a loss will make the final weekend more exciting even though I might have preferred "less excitement" , if you get my meaning.
I have watched a good few videos about yesterday's games and all the nasty comments are coming from Southern Hemisphere supporters, which isn't surprising, they think the 6 nations is a waste of a tournament and the only tournament outside the WC is the Rugby Championship. I swear, do they expect NH rugby to just play no games during the year?

Wow. Straight into the list of Six Nations classics. It's unbelievable how England have progressed, last year they were so poor their fans were leaving the stadium before the final whistle, now they give us the game of this 6 Nations. Congrats England from France, it's gonna be tough next weekend

As a French supporter I had a mix feeling after last year crushing of England by France in Twickenham. Happy of course by les bleus performance but it was a kind of sad to see our old rivals that low.
So, yesterday I was cheering for England fight back in the last minute and I'm glad to see English team playing great reugby again. We look forward to see you in Lyon next week.

I am French and I will never support England, Ireland all the way regardless of where les bleus are on the table. Kudos to both teams though, they gave us an amazing game and as much as I hate to admit it, it is good to see England playing the ball rather than feeding solely on the opposition's mistakes. I am starting to think Galthie is about to be handed his worst 6N tournament now... collectively, we are just not there anymore. You can tell les bleus have not put the RWC 1/4 to bed and the new staff is quite frankly puzzling to me. Is Arlettaz really this good and are the players buying it? Laurent Labit have left some big shoes to fill and I still don't think Galthie was the right man to manage this team, we are starting to see the same limits we have seen before from him.
Im so happy owen farrell is no longer england fly half . Marcus is dynamic , he takes risks , he tries new things unlike ford and farrell who plays like typical english fly halves pragmatic and predictable . They try to be wilkinson but even wilkinson he takes risks .
@@BonuxCouleur That 1/4 final was epic in so many ways. Probably one of my top 10 games I have ever watched. Not for the outcome but the shear entertainment value, had you on the edge of your seat for a large part of the game. It is a shame that since that game I have not seen that same flair during this season of the 6 nations. I like the French team.

Plus, it’s fun to watch France slowly unravel in spectacular fashion. And we play all year round now, we have to wait for the Six Nations to finish so we can get on with beating French teams in the Heineken Cup.

@@RGK147 I agree that the quarter final was a disaster. But here the Irish never gave up, they were just fairly beaten by an England team which has finally worked out how to play attacking rugby. You might correctly argue that Ireland weren't prepared for this, but then neither was almost anybody else except the England players themselves. Almost all the pundits gave the game to Ireland. And I repeat; if you had lost by ten, twenty points after starting well, that would be crumbling, but a one point defeat coming from a hard fought battle lost only in the very last minute is hardly 'crumbling'. Wales 'crumbled' against the French, arguably Scotland 'crumbled' in Rome, but not the Irish. Do Ireland have questions to answer? Yes. And your point about Crowley is very valid. But let's not exaggerate. This is a team which is almost certainly going to stroll to a second Championship. Now, if they are soundly beaten by Scotland, I will eat humble pie, but for now try to keep the positives.

It was never going to be easy for Ireland. England are a wounded and cornered animal at the moment. Coming to Twickenham Ireland were never going to have it all their own way. England gave as good as they got. And wanted to crash Irelands party. An absolutely bruising clash and an all time classic.
