I'm so glad that on the site I'm working at, we don't need to put the insulation in cause the insulation isn't put in until the houses have been built. It was a nightmare at me last job cause we had to put in the insulation ourselves and they wanted us to pin it to one side of the party wall before we could start laying the other side of the party which meant we were trying not to let the insulation push the blocks out.
You remind me a lot of myself Stu. A good bricklayer who has avoided sites like the plague because of bullies when you was an apprentice

Just shown this to my students Stu, as we are on City and Guilds unit 105 on Diploma Level 1 Construct Cavity walling. Told them about Brickie do actually have a life after a hard graft on the site after a days work - tell ya mate to get his hard hat on. : )
Great too see a proper bricky not touching the line when laying brick you can tell they affordable housing built many of them perfect for price work. and it’s good to have a time out especially with KC good vid pal 👍
I was going to that game (Southport fan) ended up working late and not making it! Looked like a good game! Also it’s therapeutic watching the bricklaying haha, great vlog mate
Stu we always put a bit of 450 damp over the seal then out our frames on to just to stop it getting covered in muck etc 👍

Looks great. We normally put 3 socks in. One in the party wall, then 2 where you put yours. That’s what the nhbc bloke told us to do

Hi Stu at 4.55 why do you have a course of commons halfway down the left panel. Then at the lintel hieght make it up on the other side. Why not bring both sides of opening up the same. Just wondering thanks

Hello stu I’m a bricklaying trainee, I started in September but now i have to stop for a couple of months because I injured my shoulder. I’m just wondering would I lose my skill if I stop for 2-3 months
