Yeah Hawk was huge and ripped... My fave wrestler.. So brutal so aggressive so awesome in the ring and on the mic... No doubt lots of jobbers were scared shitless of him
Physically, they're already huge - no doubt. Notice also how they position themselves during the promo so as to fill up the screen, to the point of completely obscuring David Crockett. Then Paul Ellering come in at the end, covering their exit. OTOH, in other promotions, you see wrestlers almost huddled around the announcer. There really is a craft to it, and they really execute!
I probably wouldn't mess either one of them. LOL Got to see them wrestle the Russians in Wheeling west Virginia. Met Ivan at a carryout later that night and shook his hand, he didn't talk I assumed he didn't understand english man was I a dumb kid !
Thanks Frost32. These were the days. Saturday afternoons on channel 61!! Are you a local guy?? I noticed the T.v. i.d. said WCLQ CHANNEL 61. This was Cleveland's wrestling channel for years.
+The Prophet of Rage Remember Super Host would show the 3 stooges and Laurel & Hardy for the 1st hrs then he would start what he called the Saturday matinee with movies like Godzilla, Abbott & Costello, The Mummy, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. I loved it!!!!
Yeah...those poor jobbers got brutalized and pounded by Hawk n Animal....Hawk was pure alpha...he was ripped as fuck and excitingly brutal...I love the way Hawk n Animal charged to the ring. and just overpowered and manhandled their opponents...they could pin 'em early, but instead they would not allow the refs to end the match...they wanted to keep beating 'em up till they felt lots of pain...brutally awesome!
What year was this promo done, and what promotion was this for? I'm thinking either NWA or WCW, but that WWW logo in the background has got me confused because I don't recognize it. A one shot deal perhaps? If anyone out there knows for sure please let me know. Cheers.
This was Jim Crockett Promotions in 1986. Likely summer since Animal and Hawk were mentioning the Midnight Express who were the tag champs and the Koloffs who they feuded with at the Great American Bash.

I love these guys. I wish I could find the 'Snack on Danger, Dine on Death' promo. That was awesome.
As a kid growing up, nothing was scarier than seeing Hawk popping that leather collar mid rant.
Space Mountain is still closed for repairs
We got sick minds lol

It just occurred to me, Hawk would make a great drill instructor in the army. lol
Great! I have a lot of Warriors on my channel as well...
Hawk looked better, but Animal was stronger.
I probably wouldn't mess either one of them. LOL Got to see them wrestle the Russians in Wheeling west Virginia. Met Ivan at a carryout later that night and shook his hand, he didn't talk I assumed he didn't understand english man was I a dumb kid !

LOL!! No kidding. The look on the faces of the jobbers when "Iron Man" got cranked up was priceless. They were probably peeing on themselves.
Enzo Amore would be very sad to know that the Road Warriors don't like the word soft.
