I am White........... and I don't understand how African Americans don't see just how self destructive their culture is....
Sure, a few ppl might make it out of the hood by being drugdealer, rappers or some other type of crime..................... but the VAST majority go down, get killed or wind up in prison....... and broke.
Everyone thinks they will make it in crime................. Nobody thinks about getting a degree or becoming successful in the real economy.
When you have kids dreaming of getting a career in drug dealing and gangbanging........... you have a serious problem
It almost seems like a conspiracy that they fell for.
@@networkdude1332 I understand what you mean.. im Black & i see this happening to us more often than i actually want to. This is the reason why we are stereotyped because a brother like these guys who are trying to make movies because that’s what they got… they could be filming with fake guns & the police could pull up and see this as something else and shoot them. Whose wrong? Thats up for debate…
But a brief answer to your question… the ones who you “see” that are into criminal activities are usually, 99% of the time, from a poverty stricken environment.. With poverty comes crime. You’re not going to find private or AAA public schools in that area, you’ll find liquor stores and gun shops. You’re not going to find places that give trade or career jobs that teach them skills that progress themselves into better jobs but you’ll find maybe find 3 fast food restaurants and a couple of other run down stores… i dont think that could sustain a job for everyone in the community. Absolutely no one is taught the credit system ..
Some of these young brothers aint got no father to look up to, the only role models they got is drug dealers who got a fancy car and pretty women… they see that & they think “success”. They know drugs are accessible and maybe they could be “successful” like that one guy on the corner.
Look, im not trying to give excuses for my Black brothers and sisters. But this is where you either understands situational circumstances or don’t care to understand at all. Maybe its hard for you to comprehend how we are.. because its hard to explain..
If you have never been around poverty & its people who are plagued by it, you will never understand the struggle and the decisions our people make. This comment i made should never justify anything because there is so much more. You’ve only seen the negative & I’ve seen soo much positive in my own community that i forget about the bad.. but the News outlet wont cover that. I cant remember the last time anything good was shown on the news. Do you?

My daughter is a doctor my oldest sun is a Sergeant in the army my middle son is a chief engineer at lucent's technology for video graphics and software and my youngest son is in college to be a lawyer. If I had been killed in my younger days just imagine all of the power from my bloodline would not have existed so just think about It,,for every black man that is killed there's at least three or four powerful icons taken away from our race..

I've been in the movie industry 21yrs since 16 started as a intern to executive producer for TV shows from tbs to bravo.... I watch independent movies on UA-cam in my spare time out of the last 15 or so I must say this shows the most promise, I'm based out of Chicago... sounds like you are Michigan... What I'll say is the Cons are all just money related, everything that can be done with talent was spot on, besides maybe just some cut scenes again equipment can help that. Just like dope dealing keep re uping into your art your on to something you need any advice I'd be able to help if you want
