Utterly captivating, I used too watch Bob Crusoe back in 1970 , I’m only 54 years older and boy do I feel it , just a superb rendition and beautifully played , whoever came up with Wild , Bravo 🙌 I just know I’m going too keep coming back too listen too this time and again .😊I was ten in 1970 so I guess I was lucky enough to be old enough too enjoy the joyous eighties.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my brother during the lockdown :)
@@paulrb894 Yes, and it looks the same as when I watched it all those years ago. It hasn’t been “fixed”. I got that and Tom Grattan’s War that I remember from1968. The World At War was another boxed set I got, that I used to watch with my dad. The music to The World At War is one of those that are as unforgettable as The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe. My goodness, telly was marvellous back then.
The sad irony is that NONE of these wonderful artists will ever appreciate or understand the true significance of this poignant music. One has to be over 50 years old.
I was 5 and watched it from day one. When the ship didn't see his signal fire I was over the moon. I wanted to be on that island so much... Especially after my 7th birthday..
My thoughts exactly , it’s the one piece of music that has stuck with me since childhood and black and white TV, now I’m retired and here it is on youtube.!!
There should have been a CGI version of WILD playing this fabulous melody in 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets' it would certainly have spiced up the film a lot.
when i was a little boy 50 years ago i went to see this saturday mornings then to Jaconellis Maryhill Glasgow for lunch not posh just lunch now i am 60 and wonder where the years went and what did i do ?
Brave queste ragazze violinando su e giù per le note del pezzo musicale di anni prima degli Art of Noise, si sono fatte un bel giro di note, non le conoscevo.
Hmm new ways of doing things are to be welcomed however they have got the percussion all wrong in my view stereo typical of the times nowadays not quite grasping the concept of what makes things work irrespective of the genre .I guess a nice visual but often the way these days. I remember Mission Impossible the series in 5/4. Many years later, out came the films having to be played in a kind of 4/4 and totally loosing the hipness of the thing. All In al,l always remain positive I guess so I think a very interesting sceptical.
The programme was originally broadcast in 1964 with the Van Parys music - but you're right, the version broadcast in the UK from 1965 had The Mellin-Reverberi music, and that's what they are playing here - my mistake.
What a dull, insipid performance. Its like being transported to the inside of a beige elevator without hope of escape and piped muzak. A shame as the original soundtrack is a beautiful, achingly sad (at times) masterpiece - laden with nostalgia for those of us who can remember this from our childhood.
Never tire of listening to this. Great memories of my childhood. A timeless piece of music.
👍🏾 👏 yes
Great version I'm 63 takes me back to my childhood
This takes me back to wonderful childhood memories and has caused me to shed a few tears why ?
Sends shivers down my spine
Now I wasn't expecting that!!👏👏👏
Unless you lived back then and watched this series you couldn't and wouldn't understand 😊❤
True so true 💯👍🏾
Just found this wonderful tune…takes me back 55 years and more. Robinson Crusoe was required watching in the ‘60s. Where is this band now?

@@minty448 Thanks. I've subscribed to your channel
The first time I heard this piece was from The Art of Noise: The Ambient Collection. I searched for it and found this performance and was feeling it.
When I was young it was old men who played violin in orchestras, now it’s gorgeous women.😀👍
Tune brought joy to dark dull starving childhood, a hint life could get better ❤
I keep coming back to videos from this concert after all these years. So glad they are still uploaded.
Breathtaking, both musically and visually. Breathtaking in its perfection.
Wonderful rendition
A lovely tune played by lovely woman
When I heard Robert Hoffman had died I was just gutted. He was my hero back then. Love this version ♥️
Damn that sounded better than I thought it would..
Class music and ladies 😃❤️
The most haunting, skin crawling tune ever created.
So in love with these ladies talented and beautiful.
That was Really Beautiful and I so wish I had got in to Wild earlier, and they are all very beautiful Girls.
Who, what, when, how and who are these babes👍👍👍 Great tune 💋
They're called Wild. Look at their video 'Hipnotic'

Music is all empowering
I have loved and adored this piece of music since watching that TV series. As a child I loved it so much. Now 65 and it still gets to me.

They all hot 🔥
@@paulrb894 I agree with you 👍
made me cry.....
Summer holidays watching this classic then watching why don't you.
Strings just tug at our hearts. No idea why.
Since hearing Art Of Noise’s rendition, I have been open to more takes on the song, such which this video sates!

This is a lot better than it has any right to be.

Fantastic!
For those who are yelling, "No it's not!!' okay it's from the old B/W television series, but I like Art of Noise version the best. :)
Took me back to my childhood
i'd love to see the concert!
😮😮😮 stunning 😍
Pretty good - a classic composition

Добрый день. Поясните, пожалуйста, кто знает, как называется эта группа? Хочу послушать другие композиции в их исполнении. Очень понравилось.

👍👍👍👍👍
I think this is good. However, I wanted to hear the oboe and clarinet ensemble at the end of the song...

You're badly wrong -
this is indeed beautiful and memorable music .. but this performance is a distraction .. I prefer accompanying scenes from the TV series
Its sound like a 20 violins because there use a electric instruments...
Who is the very sexy blond key board player
Much better in the original by Art of Noise
Art of Noise is not an original
Paul Paulsen art of noise aren't the originators of this classic classic goes back to the mid to late 1960s early 70s
Early 60s. Music composed by Georges Van Parys. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Robinson_Crusoe_(TV_series)
French TV production from 1965 with original music by Robert Mellin and P. Reverberi
The programme was originally broadcast in 1964 with the Van Parys music - but you're right, the version broadcast in the UK from 1965 had The Mellin-Reverberi music, and that's what they are playing here - my mistake.
