    REDARC - this is a good product and I can see a lot of thought has gone in to it, as well as testing for Australia conditions. Good work. However, being someone who does 4WD'ing, Trades and other activities I might have some construtive feedback/suggestions - which would be. 1). In future moels, include a built in 240-Volt Inverter to run tools up to 1800Watts. 2). Provide functionality to add batteries together for additional capacity. 3). Revise the pricing - too high for feature set provided and for battery size, especially without an inverter included. 4). See products like EcoFlow Delta for an example of value/price point versus feature set. I would have bought this if it was about $1400-1500 but geez you're asking
    $2,395 AUD... that's... excessive IMHO. I look forward to your next version including more features as I'll buy one if it addresses those shortcomings mentioned.

      Hi Kim, Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. As REDARC designed, developed and manufactures the GoBlock, feedback from our customer is essential for future developments. As you can imagine a lot of research and development has gone into the GoBlock to create a portable power solution suited to as many customers as possible, we have considered those who would like to power 240 volt devices off-grid as you can connect an inverter up to 700 watts into the 50 Amp Anderson output. Whilst price is important REDARC products are made to the highest quality, these are the products you can rely on wherever you are. If you'd like to discuss the GoBlock further please feel free to contact our helpful Tech Support Team on 1300 REDARC.

    It looks as though the unit has just the one anderson input to accept either solar or vehicle alternator charging. I'm looking to replace my Baintech Powertop and really appreciate having both solar and alternator inputs always plugged in and ready to go, not having to unplug one to plug in the other. If the Go Block had this facility, I'd be all over it. Food for thought on future updates.

    From what I can gather from your website, unless I get in addition to the GoBlock, the optional PowerDock, the GoBlock on its own will only accept one source of charge at time? EIther DC-DC or Solar but not both? Is this correct? If so, when in 2022 will the PoweiDock become available, and how much extra will they cost?

    You know I’ve been googling, looking and researching how to go about putting a auxiliary battery into my Ford Everest without detracting from the vehicles aesthetics, plus keep it as a 7 seater and use it for touring when I want. This seems to tick all the boxes. Can you explain how the PowerDock works please. Cheers. Bob

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  2 роки тому

      Hi Robert, Thanks for the feedback sounds like the GoBlock is the perfect solution! The PowerDock is a cradle that mounts into your vehicle in which the GoBlock locks in and secures. The PowerDock can also be wired back to your starting battery and/or solar and will automatically connect for vehicle and solar charge whenever the GoBlock is locked in. This product will be available to purchase in the coming months.

    Questions...charging via vehicle - does that mean you connect cig socket from the box to cig socket in vehicle?
    Fastest way - using Anderson connection into the unit, does that mean the vehicle must have wiring from main battery with fuses/Anderson connection that connects into Anderson connection in battery box?

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  2 роки тому

      Hi Miguel, thanks for your message.
      Charging GoBlock from the Vehicle can be done by using the supplied Accessory socket trickle charger cable or via an Anderson connection from the Start battery.
      The Accessory socket cable utilises the 7.A trickle charge port on the unit only, not an accessory port. With the Anderson cable connection, you will need to use suitably rated cable and fuses for your application - check out the GoBlock manual for more information on this at www.redarc.com.au/100ah-goblock-portable-power-system

    Does the anderson plug work both ways ...for charging from solar panel to goblock and to plug into a fridge ( companion S , 75litre with lithium battery. ? Can I have the go block charging and at the same time be using it to power a fridge?

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  2 роки тому

      Thank you for watching, and for your interest in our Australian made portable dual battery system. In response to your questions, the charging Anderson input is only designed to take inputs sources (Vehicle and Solar); it won’t output to a fridge etc. There is an Anderson connector on the other side of GoBlock for this purpose - you can connect your fridge here. The unit is able to charge and have power drawn from it at the same time, yes. You can charge from any of the three inputs and it will work well. Any further questions please feel free to contact our friendly Tech Support Team on 1300 REDARC.

    Going through the comments and I am not quite sure its been answered but, can you run power from the house battery and alternator to charge this unit whilst driving via the plug at the back of the box and if required to remove from the vehicle can be charged via the same plug via a solar blanket?

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  Рік тому

      Hi Adam, thank you for watching and for your interest in our Australian made GoBlock. You can indeed charge the system using vehicle power, whether through the cigarette socket or wiring direct to the alternator. Our unique docking station can also help deliver up to 50A of fast charge depending on the capability of your vehicle, while you are correct that a solar panel can be added to deliver charge when setup at camp. Genuine question. What advantage does this unit have over a engel series 2 smart battery box, with a 100AH LIFEPO4 fitted? I must be missing something as the Engle setup is less than 1/2 the price . I’m looking at the Go Block though trying to understand why it’s $3.2k and what it’s advantages are over a power box + lithium Battery.

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching! Unlike traditional battery boxes, the GoBlock is fully sealed and contained with the battery built into the unit. This means that there’s no worry of battery concussion as the battery is unable to rattle around inside. It’s also surrounded by a tough aluminium casing with no exposed fans of vents so it can be exposed to splashes, dust, dirt and vibrations without worrying about damaging any of the internal workings. The GoBlock can be charged via AC mains power, solar or vehicle alternator power while driving and features 12v accessory sockets, Anderson outputs and USB sockets for charging all of your devices. If you’ve got any further questions, our Technical Support Team are always happy to help on 1300REDARC (1300 733 272).

    Can this be charged back up from the vehicle alternator? Does this have the redarc bcdc built in? If so, how does that work with this? My understanding is the bcdc needs like 3 different grounding points (one from the main battery, one from this backup battery, and one for the bcdc itself). How does this battery box get grounded so that the bcdc works? Thanks for your help.

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  2 роки тому +1

      Hi John, thanks for your comment. GoBlock can indeed charge from the Vehicle’s alternator/Start battery either via an Anderson connection or using our PowerDock system.
      The earthing is done via the Anderson to either the Vehicle chassis or back to the Start battery and this is all it requires.
      The internal DC-DC charging is up to 50A and also earths through this connection and to the battery as well. Let us know if you have further questions, you’re more than welcome to give us a call on 1300 REDARC if you want to discuss more!

    • @REDARCElectronics
      @REDARCElectronics  2 роки тому

      Hi Ryan, thank you for your message. Ideally the GoBlock should be mounted in a covered environment as you wouldn’t want for it to sit out in the elements permanently. It is water and splash resistant so can survive and be used throughout the year, however any prolonged exposure may have an impact over time.
