I just realized how sad it is that we don't have people making music that makes you just feel happy just giving off good vides anymore.
1960s. The main singer Davy Jones lived a mile from me in Gorton, Manchester, UK. Loved the Monkees, and I love hard rock etc.

The Monkees were put together for a TV show called "The Monkees" in 1966 to take advantage of the Beatles craze in the USA. At times, they were as popular as the Beatles. They each auditioned for a part on the show which aired from 1966-68. It was a silly slap-stick comedy show. The music was performed by studio bands and the cast members did not play the instruments but they did sing. The show was extremely popular with teenagers. What is surprising is they had many hit songs and after leaving the show in 68 went on to actually write, play the instruments and sing their own music and did quite well.
The dance by singer Davy Jones became a popular dance at the time and even Axl Rose of Guns and Roses fame actually did that dance on stage. The Monkees toured for decades since the TV show and I think the two surviving members (Mickey Dolenz and Mike Nesmith) are still performing.
But NO ONE does it like Davy!

They had a number of hit songs. I really like their songs She, Pleasant Valley Sunday and She Hangs Out and so many more.
The guitar player was a very successful song writer
Give ‘Last Train to Clarksville’ a listen. It is another great song by them.

Check out the Moody Blues "Nights in white satin" another great late 60's group that still had albums up to 2004

Hermano reactos "la casita Banda MS" is a band with a regional Mexican style that is very popular, it is a super good song.
It’s not your fault, but I hate that every Monkees reaction video is of this stupid song. It is an “okay” song, but an absolutely middle of the road song. And everyone loves Davy, but Davy was the weakest link. Still, he gave us some of my favorite songs. But this was not one of them. Here is one of his best: ua-cam.com/video/VeZULGEQwV4/v-deo.html
It's not always this song. You aren't looking hard enough. Lots of other songs are out there.
It's a great song. A feel good fun song.
